  1. Ok so here are the pics of this morning's work Have to admit this was pretty scary watching it flip over but has made working on it a lot easier Rear Bracket and A-frame (strap is there as a last line of defence lol) Rear subframe out and the car mounted in the A-frame My helper Ant trying to look useful holding a rear spring lol. Definitely needed his help for this though. It's floating!!!!! The finished article (that's me by the way lol) It's really light :-P The underside... Now to start cleaning and get the welder going again

Dam 8.5's are too narrow for me at the front and I'm not sure yet whether I could have 10's all round. Depends how much lock I get Sorry for the thread hijack there. Keep me posted if the group buy takes off

Profile will change what feel you get a bit but if you can really feel the difference through a 5% profile reduction it would be quite impressive obviously if you're changing your wheels and tyre size etc. all at once the difference would feel a lot more significant. As Wasso said it depends on what you want to do with your car. I'd like to go to 19's but I doubt I'd be able to afford the rubber and I like to have a slightly higher profile on the back so I have a bit of flex. This is a personal preference. There must be enough guys on here running 19's which can let you know for sure. Would be interested in knowing which ones you end up going for good luck
  8. 7000 views thanks guys!!!! Car trestle pics will be going up tomorrow
  9. Lol me too man you'd better get in that nice shiney Z of yours man and get yourself up here to help
  10. A little bit done tonight but importantly back on it!!!! feels good Car trestle should be here tomorrow night as well
  11. I know you've all seen the cage install pics but I always love the arty welding shots Check out the Clark Customs facebook page for more bits and pieces they've done
  12. Thanks for the heads up but I think I may have found one that I can borrow in Darlo now. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up on Thursday and then get the car in the air on Friday and get cracking
  13. I was thinking I might have to go down the tyre route too. A bit rough but is a quick solution
  14. arr ok I'll have to keep searching. Please keep any suggestions coming
  15. Thanks dude but it was neither lol it was Jason at Clark Customs in Shafton, Barnsley. Great work and very happy to have him put the cage in and will recommend him to anyone else I would really like to have everything in and running by the end of the year. There is a lot to do though so I'm not sure if I'll make it. Now a bit stuck because I need to stitch weld the underside of the car but can't find anyone to borrow a trestle off so I can flip it. Need to get cracking on again as soon as possible
  16. DO IT!!!!!! There are a few drifter guys on here so pick our brains if you need any guidance/help etc. haha very true man but more stiffness to come Hopefully it won't come to that man but I'm definitely agreeing with your logic thanks
  17. Haha thanks man, was thinking of renting the car out as a children's climbing frame when I'm not drifting it to make some extra cash ;-) Yeah Can't wait to crack on again but the first job is going to be seam welding the underside so either need to jack it up or get a trestle so I can flip it over. Fancy coming up to help??? :-P lol yeah I know I went to all that effort but every kg saved is a bonus also we used T45 for the majority of the cage Thanks man I hope so buddy, it shouldn't creak or anything haha. Can't wait to drive it
  18. You know what this means Pics of the finished product to follow this evening so watch this space.......
  19. I'll think of something man, just don't let yourself watch that rubbish!! Haha Keyser gets owned
