  1. Not at all The first time I tried putting that post up I got a note saying "this forum does not allow that many emoticons, please remove some and post again" haha
  2. SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth: :teeth: That is all
  3. Arr dammit, there's a few places near me in the north east that would be able to help but that would be a bit of a trek.
  4. whereabouts are you based?
  5. I've got a Nismo GT Pro already Is an awesome bit of kit. The stubby axles into the diff aren't the issue it's the shafts which take the drive from those to the wheel bearings. Think I'll be able to do an "awesome" retro-fit to get it all to work, Keep watching my thread :-P Yeah dude, it's called a clutch kick. Probably one of the most unfriendly techniques to the engine and drive train but it works if you've got a slightly under powered car that needs a little help breaking traction
  6. That's cool a lot of the boys on here are doing a great job of ripping up tyres with the standard stuff Get out there man and have fun. I'm not sure where you're based but Norfolk Arena, Teesside Autodrome and Driftland (Scotland) are definitely worthy places to get your drift on. Hope to see you there
  7. Just use a really high quality oil and that should keep you going
  8. I'm going through this dilemma at the moment. If you're planning on doing all out drifting then a mechanical LSD or welded diff is the way to go. If it's drifting on a slightly lesser scale the viscous is fine Stevo does perfectly well with his and as Doc said drop the tyre sizes a bit and up the pressures and it'll be a dream. The issue I'm looking into is whether or not the driveshafts can put up with the punishment. A few guys have big horsepower on here running on the standard stuff but I think drifting is a lot agressive on the drivetrain than track and fast road stuff.
  9. Yeah I know Polo will give him a shout and see what he's done Thanks man
  10. Ok cool man, thanks for the advice Just getting an idea what you guys out your shafts through. haha I hope you don't have to spend too long on your house dude, Just do some painting and then go out and get a start on the car :-P
  11. So on Saturday I thought I'd see if I could swap the internals from my Skyline GTR diff into my 350Z casing... GTR Left - 350Z (a bit rusty) Right Originally I was hoping that I would be able to just put the rear cover plate from the 350 on to the GTR and it would be an easy swap but they were so different on the outside that would never be the case. So next I thought I might be able to pull the Nismo GT Pro 2-way diff out of my casing and put in the Z one... GTR Z Bit too much of a difference to swap the two So now I'm trying to work out whether to sell the diff from my skyline and buy a new Nismo Pro that will fit the 350 or modify the rear subframe to accept the skyline diff. It's either going to be a lot of money or a lot of time lol. Keep watching to see what I decide :-P If you have any preference/recommendations/comments/knows someone that want's a complete GTR diff feel free to let me know
  12. That's pretty impressive what kind of stuff are you guys doing with your cars? track, drag, etc., etc.?
  13. Hmm maybe I've heard mixed comments about the shafts. Good ones like yours but also terrible ones with 350's running standard power and twisting them off like tissues Neil your car looks awesome
  14. Hmmm the Offside one might be short by 15-20mm so will have to see if they'll fit when the car comes back. Thanks for your help alex. Does anyone know where I can get uprated 350z driveshafts? heard that the standard ones are pretty weak
  15. Thanks for the tip man will definitely give them a go Would like to see their reaction when they read this thread :-P Will keep you all posted on the progress of that too
  16. Falcon performance 01642 469732 They're down in Stockton too but their work is perfect
  17. I'm trying man :-( I want it done as soon as possible. Having serious withdrawal symptoms now :'-(
  18. If you're after paintwork and fibreglass repairs try Gary Carter at So:nu Paint 07510154998 Tell him I put you in touch ;-)
  19. It will be 100% drift car but will hopefully also be on the road :-P As I seriously missed having my skyline on the road when I modified that. It's main purpose will be drifting and will be trailed most places, like Stevo said the last thing I want is to be stranded somewhere after a minor drift accident. I'm going to do my best to get it back on the road once this is all complete though so I can actually drive it to meets, etc. Insurance is going to be the killer Also it's going to be pretty noisey, hot and rough but it'll be worth it
  20. Excellent thanks man, I will check mine tonight when I get in from work
  21. Thanks Alex yeah its the complete drive shaft please. From the flange to where it joins the diff stubby shafts to the outer cv's :-) Thanks man
  22. Cheers guys is coming along slowly. It's been away being caged longer than i was hoping but it'll be perfect when it returns. I can then plough on with the rest of the build so eventually I can bring it out to meet you all :-)
