  1. Cheers man looks like they've got some good stuff on there. Is there anything you'd particularly recommend for the rust on my chassis rails?
  2. Gutted for you man it is a real pain when you split fibreglass but at least it's not too bad to fix plus in my last drift season I was going through a bumper every other time I hit the track. Most of the time I drove over them so there wasn't much left :-( What bumper is it?
  3. Haha you're always welcome up here man. I hope once the welding is done and underside is painted you won't be able to spot any missed bits ;-)
  4. Nice one man wouldn't mind a passenger ride out in your motor, bet that thing is rapid!!
  5. Right.... After a full day using the wire brushes I've ended up with about 75% of the car ready to weld Before... After... Welding marathon to commence on Monday evening
  6. What's Neutrarust? is it any good? Arrr would be good if you were about maybe next time
  7. Welcome I'd definitely recommend the Michelin Pilot Sports, great tyres for the road
  8. Yeah it's a really rubbish job. You having to take off the old stuff, wire brush and then re-apply?? I'm out there now with a big mug of coffee and the tunes up loud just trying to get through it. Hopefully the cavalry will arrive after lunch to help me make some serious head way. The good thing is that I'm nearly through all of the underseal now so I have to wire brush down to bare metal ready for welding next week :teeth: I don't want to fill up this thread with shell cleaning pics but I'll put some up this evening and you'll see the transformation
  9. thanks man. I've got a spare wire brush, why don't you come up and get the bit you can see I'm sure I can find some more for you to do too
  10. There shouldn't be any issue as the rolling radius won't be that much different. I used to have those wheels they were really nice and will look awesome on the Z. Tyres I would say Michelin Pilot Sports like above or the latest offering from Toyo. Those guys seem to do really good road tyres
  11. haha I hope it comes out better than a wheeler dealers effort I want all of the underseal off so I can finish the stitch welding and give a good clean before it gets sprayed underneath. Also got to save a few grams where I can
  12. Sorry for the very boring pic but after 3 hours work I needed to show someone lol Better pics to come I promise One very clean wheel well p.s. I hate underseal!!!!
  13. arr i really like the standard colour but seeing as it looks pretty impossible to get it I might have to change. Will have to see what colour I end up painting the car before I settle on a colour. Think I will have to start up a thread to get people's ideas and choose a good one. I'm rubbish at colours and stuff lol
  14. lol that is true and I have been there many times myself but I am hopinh to do a better job of building it this time so I won't have to use so many
  15. The v8's are all about the noise!! that does have a really nice note to it. The weather always is a bit of a gamble up there been a few times with gorgeous sunshine the whole weekend but last year it was like we were at the north pole!!!
  16. Cheers man, Looks like it's hard to get a pot of the actual paint for those calipers then I want to strip mine back to bare metal and re do them from there. Don't you guys supply it
  17. No worries man, just hope somone can help us out
  18. Hi All, Where can I get my hands on some of the standard brembo gold paint for the brake calipers? My rear calipers look fine but need to refurb the fronts and a lick of paint would do them the world of good. Thanks for your help
  19. Thank you and to the forum. If you're ever up this way you'll have to let me know. When it's done I'll be all over the country in it so will hopefully see you around. Arr yes I really would have liked to be up at Knockhill this weekend but the 8 hour round trip just for the day was a bit daunting. Also needed my energy for working late on the car this week Yeah that's my mate Matty and his car, a really nice bit of kit but only has a little 4 litre BMW V8 in hahaha. Can't wait to do some twinning with him. Two 350's with smoke pouring off the back will look epic!!!! Argh I want this car done now!
  20. Thanks it was a pretty scary experience and I have to admit I keep checking it to make sure that it hasn't fallen off lol but it has made working on the underside so much easier Hahaha do it man!!! I might take you up on your offer at some point so keep an eye out for a PM Just a quick note to everyone I've fixed the links for the cage on page 13 also
  21. Rear Bracket and A-frame (strap is there as a last line of defence lol) Rear subframe out and the car mounted in the A-frame My helper Ant trying to look useful holding a rear spring lol. Definitely needed his help for this though. It's floating!!!!! The finished article (that's me by the way lol) It's really light :-P The underside... I hope these ones work
  22. Sorry guys I don't know what's happened to them. I will link them all again when I get back to my laptop later
