  4. Evening all Basically I'm going to be travelling through various different countries in Europe next month and am thinking of putting my cats back in, incase we get pulled over. Question is mine is mapped for decats so if I was to put them back on without readjusting the map how will the car run, maybe over fuel or run lean? Anybody know Cheers Arran
  5. Cheers Yeah the coilovers make a big difference, still on softest setting for now though until theyre run in, then il play around with them
  6. How much you reckon it would be to replace Alex? Labour wise
  7. I think the front diff bushings are fine it's just the rear one then, If that can be done on the car that's a relief! Might see who can do it soon as
  8. Noticed last night that theres some black fluid leaking from a diff bush, How much of a bitch is this to replace? Also how much do you reckon it will hamper performance? Its the bush pictures above the diff brace http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m15/z33_drift_king/007-27.jpg Theres some polybush or solid rear bushes ive seen, but need to get an idea on labour first as im off to nurburgring next month Cheers Arran
  9. So another update for the books Put the HSD coilovers and Eibach spacers (25mm rear and 20mm front) on last week, let them settle for a week until after work tonight as i wanted to just the coilover height and make sure all the spring preloads were equal etc, removed all the suspension and measured everything and adjusted accordingly, the rear was left the same height as it was perfect from the first fit but the front i wanted down another 10mm roughly, found the perfect front height after adjusting them down 7mm, specific i know but now its perfect still got the damping adjustment set on full soft so the coilovers can bed in (100 miles) then il go and find a big space to play with the damping settings so i get it spot on before nurburgring, great thing about the HSD's is the damping is adjustable via a knob on the top mounts so its literally 30 seconds to adjust each shock Cant believe the difference both parts have made to the car both ride/height wise and cosmetic looks, really really pleased! Heres some pictures from this evening of how she stands now There we have it for now, This weekend il be going to Kaizer motors to get the allignment sorted then off to Surrey vinyl wraps to have the roof, mirrors and front bumper lower bar wrapped in gloss black. Looking forward to another transformation Stay tuned folks Arran

  21. I reckon about 450 to insure for you but then again everyone's quote is always different, Make sure you look for one that is a GT model, has heated electric leather, Bose sound system, cruise control and rays alloys. Worth the £500 extra on a used car Welcome to the forum by the way, the modding will commence when you get one
  22. If you have two spare fella, il take two clear buttons Pm me for payment mate
  23. Just for off the phone from driftworks, just aswell as the rear would be set up wrong. I need to raise the spring seat back to maximum height and lower the shock enough so that the rear spring is captive and not able to move, once done lower the spring to my height in my case 7 threads and lower the shock again so that the spring is captive. Sounds easy enough to me. The front is as I thought, as I need to take the fronts off anyway just to triple check the spring preloads weren't touched, measure the bottom spring collar and bottom shock collars as they are now then lower them another 10mm, check they are at the height I want, lock it all up and voila done. I always other think things
  24. Right doing it tomorrow, found out we didn't touch the front spring preload after all so that's one less thing to worry about Think I've got it correct in method now, the front I'm going to measure what the thread is now as I need to make it ten mm lower, take out the cups at the bottom measure 25mm plus whatever the shock is wound in to get the height it is now, for now let's say another 25mm down so that's 50mm down the shock, basically il measure 60mm and lock it on that and that should be the front done and dusted? For the rear, leave the springs as they are, which is 7 threads down (say 7mm for now) then take shock off and measure 25mm from bottom then basically screw another 7mm down so 32mm down the shocks and I should be level spring and shock right? Hope that's correct
