  1. No one cares. I DO! So I don't care that no one cares! No one cares that you care but don't care about other people caring.
  2. How much did that set you back? Lol, nada mate, nothing, nowt, known her for a while now best thing I have ever done. Haha, good on you!
  3. How much did that set you back?
  4. I just don't know who that someone is yet or if they even exist.
  5. I do have some very delicious 18" winter wheels right up someone street.
  6. Isn't this a bit of a contradiction? You can't be a skilled driver AND crunch gears? They're the total opposite of each other. I've never crunched a gear in the Z and I wouldn't call myself a skilled driver by any means. I've had no advanced training, the Z is one of the most "exotic" manual cars I've ever driven and the box has never caused me any issues at all Stop being a cocky idiot.
  7. New £15k family focus, put halfords rims on it.. What's the problem?
  8. Have you guys seen all the badman shorts? They are quite funny, pretty old now but I'm not sure if they've been linked on this forum... A good watch anyway:
  9. wtf is this, refuse to believe it. He's just gone home like Elvis.
  10. If there is something you need a picture of to give you ideas let me know and I can get you one (s/c related... Of course) Good progress.
  11. What I don't get is that unless you're shifting slowly, what is the point in doing it? If my car needs to be at 4K RPM to meet the next gears needs and I make that with a usual gear change process, what have I achieved by keeping my foot on the floor? I'm genuinely curious as it seems a bit of an odd thing to do.
  12. ^ I should add that this wasn't going max out I was just cruising along and wondered what would happen if I just leave my foot half on the throttle as I changed into 4th.
  13. I can confirm that the car does indeed lurch forward, I tried it on the way home in the other halfs Mini and not only did it lurch but with the foot flat to the floor I attracted more attention than I wanted and ended up looking more of a pr!ck than usual.
  14. Wouldn't that cause the car to lurch forward as well throwing it off balance? For sake of discussion if desired RPM for Gear/speed is 4k RPM and you've got your foot to the floor holding it at 6.5k RPM it's going to, in my mind, lurch when the clutch engages again, no?
  15. That's a bad thing isn't it? Power shifting at 6.5k RPM might lead to undesired consequences unless you're all driving around in flappy paddle insta gear change cars? I certainly wouldn't 'power shift..' my car whilst giving it max attack.
  16. You double declutch on upshifts as well..!! :surrender: I thought that was only necessary on cars from a by-gone era that didn't have something in the gearbox? Not an expert here but pretty sure something along those lines elminates the need to perform that maneuver. Also, double declutch is not the same as heal/toe.. That much I know
  17. But that doesn't explain why you're telling us to heel/toe on upshifts?
  18. I'm trying to imagine what scenario I'd want to heel and toe when I'm making progress, seems a bit backwards to me but then I'm likely missing something.
  19. up the box? Use "blip" on downchange... Well yes, obvs. But you were inferring blipping in both directions? No, I wasn't. I thought it would be obvious that you heel and toe on up shifts and blip on downchange. I was referring to using your feet..!! I'm confused.
  20. If you're near West Sussex I can offer you my old cats as a lend until you get something permanent sorted.
