  1. Watched the promo, looked terrible. Not sure how we came off more 'trashy' than the Americans but we managed it.
  2. He is still recovering in hospital after selling his left kidney so he could pay the bill.
  3. You don't have to put !! on the topic of all your threads, people will still see it and give you the help you need.
  4. Why did you have to be a little snitch, you know what they say about snitches.
  5. there is no excuse for carrying around 1k worth of work on someones car without putting a 5 min phone call in to get the all clear. he could of had another garage lined up to perform the work, could be doing it himself, could have sourced aftermarket parts he wanted on.. there are loads of scenrios. the rest of the thread just seems like confusion and a some excessive labour rates. the 'unauthorised' work is the problem for me. Agree 100%, there is no excuse all I'm saying is I personally saw the state of his rotors and I could pull the lip off with my hand.
  6. Oh I missed that bit, I would be unhappy with any garage performing excessive additional work BUT I was at the garage and saw his rotors on the floor, they were falling to pieces. I think I paid over £600 for a front end respray (not the wings blended but actually resprayed) at TGM some years ago on my Integra. I agree it's not much more than £450 but it is more (inc vat especially). Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I'm not defending this garage and I have no affiliation with it.. I'm just curious and a bit disappointed as a user of said garage.
  7. Did they do any additional work without his say so? The brake lines went while randy_baton was there.
  8. £450 is not the going rate for a decent front end respray Grundy
  9. No, still selling at the moment.. Going to ramp up the advertising to PH this week. As I've said in my other post, I don't want to sell it but want the money invested in it to do other things with my life you never know, something might crop up where I don't need to sell it and I'm hoping it does!
  10. Checking my cars history, I would expect that lot to set you back about £800 (previous invoice from Abbey MS, who charge £65/hour). 3 hours for arch liners and brakes to be changed?? Should have come around mine with some beers and we could have done it on the drive way..!
  11. Brake pads on all hubs was included in the 1k bill?
  12. 1k for the service though? and 10 hours to replace brake lines? What did they change on the service to warrant the cost?
  13. From looking around the parts are cheap, so now you have to ask yourself whether or not they have spent the best part of 20/30 hours replacing them??? Which is insane. I won't be recommending this place again if there isn't a decent explanation of the cost, which is a shame as I'm so close and they seemed a very good garage.
  14. I'm not 100% but when I was there they were bleeding the front, that's not to say they replaced those lines? I just assumed they had.
  15. Also to note, I did see all of your discs/lines etc that were removed and they were a state but that doesn't mean the cost is justified.
  16. Hi Randy, I was surprised when I was at the garage when they told me how much your brake overhaul was going to cost but they said they spoke to you when I asked if you knew how much it was going to cost..! In my mind the price is way over the top and I would seriously be questioning what has gone on. From the look of it they made you custom brake lines from the engine bay for all 4 hubs which I guess is where the money came from? Rather than buying off the shelf stuff. Try and work it out in your head how much it should cost, £65+vat/hour + parts.. How many hours does it to take to make, fit and bleed 4 brake lines/pipes? (I'm not sure)
  17. Get a supercharger, the display will tell you you're doing 45 mpg.
  18. I think what Grundy is saying is that if you buy a tyre package the wheels come with tyres fitted, no? So Tarmac has the risk of repairing wheels etc when they get delivered with marks on.
  19. Car back, MOT passed no advisories and the mark on the front bumper is now gone so looks brand new.
