  1. Hugh, I have just taken a drive out that way (never been there before - some nice roads too) to find both the track and the pub Both look good so will definitely book a meal there afterwards. Thanks for the recommendation
  2. It's ok Matt, your secret's safe with Wizurd I'm sure
  3. Humpy, he's a good 'un - I really can't complain
  4. Niki and Will, Millbrook is the best fun. You should both definitely go Niki, my tennis coach was devastated by the news, obviously - lol Hugh, I've never heard of the St Vincent Arms. I take it that it serves good food? Mr TwoBears will enjoy the beer and the wine list looks good too
  5. You should come with me - max of two people per session and it would be cool to have two Zeds! They've reduced the price to £99 for 45 mins tuition in your own car. I rang them for more details and it sounds good
  6. Thanks Matt Was feeling a bit flat after Wales had finished so this has given me something to look forward to
  7. Ha ha Will, I think I would lead a pretty dull drive so I'll leave it to you again next year if it's all the same grf, yes the track is at Elvington. Do you know anything about the courses they run? It wasn't expensive so it seems worth a try. I am hoping to go back down to Millbrook later this year depending on finances as it isn't cheap and there are hotel costs to factor in as well. Having said that the Inn at Woburn was a very nice place to stay and they made the best gluten free bread ever BBK, hmm, ok I'm 40 something so maybe not quite old enough to be your mother but can I adopt you anyway?
  8. Ha ha. I'm old enough to be his mother. Don't frighten the boy
  9. He's just booked me a session with an instructro on a track near York because he knows that I really want to improve my driving skills He texted me to ask if I was free on the 14th of June and I now regret saying that was the day I'd planned to elope with my tennis coach N:B I don't actually play tennis but I really should stop the smart Alec replies sometimes
  10. Hi Bockaaarck I've just realised who you are! I am so quick to catch on aren't I? It's not exactly as if there were hundreds of red Zeds Tony and I had a lovely time thanks, and it was good to meet you and your partner. I really am determined to improve my driving now so that I can put up a better showing next year. After driving home last night I decided to take myself round the best local road (some great bends) for further practise
  11. "He almost took the front end off Twobears Zed though, what a muppet he was!!" He was certainly a bit special My 'favourite' non Zed driver was the clapped out P-reg Fiesta driver though. He was determined not to let me through. Every time the oncoming traffic thinned out enough to allow me to get by him I was back onto solid white lines
  12. Nothing like you at all but a lot like the bloke who was taking the photo
  13. My bum looks really big in those photos
  14. It was a pleasure listening to your behind for 130 miles I know what you mean I followed Niki today and really enjoyed it. I knew that I'd always find her again even if she zipped off into the sunset because she wasn't exactly quiet
  15. Thanks for a great weekend everyone I met lots of lovely, friendly people and the drives were brilliant - thanks Will for letting me join your group Just hope I didn't hold anyone up too much. Sorry if I did I will practise more before I come to another meet.
  16. pissio downio Not a native speaker myself but that sounds about right
  17. I've got no advice to offer I'm afraid other than to say well done for getting back into studying There was one bit of your post that puzzled me though, namely "I enjoy the H+S side of it ". I never realised that you could make a sentence using those words in that order
  18. I think I must join the "self-employed with a tendency to overwork" camp as well I also run a T-shirt printing/garment embroidery business (hello all you others out there ) and I find myself working all hours just to get the work done because I like to be up to date. I had another business prior to this and I really did overwork, just like Squee says, in the run up to Christmas when all hell would break loose for a few weeks. I made myself ill a few times and finally decided that it wasn't worth it so I sold that business and took a year off to renovate the cottage. It was a great year and went by very quickly and I got loads of work done on the house but eventually I knew that I needed to knuckle down to some paid work again as I was starting to get bored Give yourself a complete break for a couple of weekends is my advice Sarah 350z, especially if you can have the week off from vet nursing in between as well. You will feel so much better after re-charging your batteries
  19. "is that whether we will get any weather or weather we'll get any whether" Enough of the tongue twisters please Now say it again but in Welsh
  20. I think the only thing certain about the Welsh weather is that we will get weather, plenty of weather
  21. Good job I'm not your chauffeuse then or it would be RIP Aliensurfer
  22. "I'm away for work all week and heading down to the hotel from a customers on Friday, I might be the only person who not only hasn't cleaned an inch of the car for 3 weeks but also has Mcdonalds bags in the footwell..." I can beat that as I am setting out from East Yorkshire to Ludlow tomorrow morning and will arrive at the Moreton from there on Friday. My car will be FILTHY!!!! I can't beat you for McDonalds bags though as I don't allow eating in my car
  23. Aw, they were great So good to see people genuinely happy like that.
  24. Ok, no need for pics, suffice it to say that I look like a cross between the 'lady' in BBK's pic and Elephant Man. So there
