Well, I've now broken into the European market and have sent a divider over to one of our Zed friends in the Netherlands. His PM to me upon receipt of his divider made me smile, so I thought I'd share it with you. I've said if he does come to England in his 350Z, I'm sure a few of us could get together to help welcome him and make his visit a memorable Zed one

7 posts (8 now) with the mention of rubber and Vaseline. I'm sure SMD will be along soon.....
-
I'm sure I read that Vaseline had been used on seals etc to prevent them from sealing doors shut when frozen. I'm sure someone will be along soon to confirm or suggest an alternative if I'm wrong.

Some very nice stuff there. Bet that first z1000 was scary! Especially with the skinny Metzeler on the back. The star of the show, for me, simply must be the yellow Honda Melody. So much of a raw, untamed animal, you couldn't even keep the front wheel down when it was parked up!

I'm assuming if the OP's set are rusting, he/she means number plate screws Get them off eBay dude. The 3M pads are good (and neater), but you'll need a new set of plates too (unless you don't mind the screw holes).

If the engine's at the back, walk away.....

I had a 'race' with some kind of Seat hot hatch thing the other night. Was on the ring road (dual carriageway/two lanes) me on the outside/right hand lane, him on my left. I wasn't speeding/racing/driving like a d1ck, but sensed that he wanted to. Anyway came off an island and started to climb a bank (still side by side), so exiting the island I thought I'd let the torque of the Zed pull me up the hill rather rapidly so I floored it (as much as I'd dared as it was wet). The Seal (Cupra?) remained with me until I thought 'sod it, this is stupid and dangerous' so I came off the loud pedal. The point I'm trying to put across is there is probably a post on a Seat owners club forum somewhere from someone saying they had a race with a Nissan 350Z the other night and they blew him away/left him for dust. Sorry Zed owners everywhere, I let you down. I'm so ashamed I'm also mature and responsible (sometimes) and though proving how fast my car was on a wet public road was uneccessary.

I drilled the holes only on the underside of my airbox and a couple on the right hand side (facing away from the engine). The airbox is sat in the shed somewhere ATM, but I can dig it out and take a few pics if anyone is interested But to get an idea of what was done, here's a link to 'The Wakbox' I mentioned: http://www.wak-tt.com/mods/ramair/cheapinduction.htm Before it's mentioned - I do appreciate the TT has a 1.8 turbo engine, not a NA V6. However similar results were seen from the V6 3.2 TT owners (I checked this before attacking my Zed's airbox wit ha hole cutter)!

I did this. My previous car was an Audi TT Mk1 and a popular mod was to drill large holes in the stock airbox. It was known as a 'Wakbox' as a member called Wak had done various tests with different induction kits and filters etc and found no noticeable difference between expensive kits and the modified OEM box. The 'Wakbox' actually made the best sound. Looking to carry this great sound over to my Zed, I did the same modification and ran for several 1000 miles with my airbox featuring new holes. The only effect it had was to increase the induction noise. I did not have any issues at all. I only changed it because I had the opportunity of picking up a JWT popcharger cheap from the for sale section. The drilled airbox also looks standard as long as you don't go crazy with the hole cutter

Marquez deserved the championship this year. So did Lorenzo, but I'm glad Marquez won after all that he has acheived this year. He has had a noticeable impact on other riders (the 'aliens'). I don't think I've seen Dani ever rider as aggressively as he did this year. Lorenzo has shown the strength that has won him championships, but Marc has now forced him to dig that little bit deeper. Evem the riding styles of the riders is changing. They're hanging off further which is the latest evolution following the 'Doctor's Dangle'. Elbows down? Really? The only time I ever had my elbow down, it was shortly followed my my arse, head and the remains of my bike. Marquez rode a mature ride. Lorenzo tried to bait him into a race after he broke away, but Marc knew it wasn't needed. A comfortable second place will do nicely. But those first ten laps! More of those please next year. Be interesting to see how Rossi gets on without his wingman Burgess. Bit of a shocker that one, especially how/when it was done.

Hello and to the forum. 2004 Gunmetal grey GT? Great choice Any plans for the car?
-
Oh, did anyone see practice on Friday and the 'moment' between Lorenzo and Marquez after the chequered flag on the back straight when they were pulling up to practice their starts? Marquez had pulled up and Lorenzo gently pulled up behind him and just bumped his front tyre to Marc's rear. Marc turned round to see who it was that had just bumped into the back of him to see a number 99 sat there. "I'm here young 'in. I right behind you. Wherever you are, I'm here". Mind games? Nah. Just brilliant

Gonna be a great finale to an interesting season. I was trying to decide which rider I wanted to win the championship. But then I finally realised its not a case of who I want to win, more the fact I don't want either one to lose. Marquez has had an awesome ROOKIE season, but Lorenzo has dug really deep in the second half and just fought hard. I know there's a 13 point gap, but its Marquez with the advantage and anything can happen at Valencia. Let's have a fair fight boys. I can't wait.

Could be mistaken, but I don't think roadsters came with Bluetooth.

Free winter car for Marzman Fast forward to spring 2014..... "FINALLY sold your A5 mate. Used car sales took a nose dive over the winter period and I had to let it go for slightly less than you wanted due to the increased miles I put on it, but don't worry about it taking up space on my drive for the past 5 months as I was using it daily anyway". See, you needn't of bougth that Range Rover now Chris
