  1. If you wax then polish, you remove the wax
  2. haha, from me, yes, but others may like it. I'm just not a fan of adding to or modifying a car to look i little like something else.
  3. I just sent it off in an envelope Might be different if there actually was a problem like a speeding ticket for example, but unless that happens we can't cross that bridge…
  4. You'll have sent off the Permanent Export section so for you it's irrelevant if he registers it in Germany or not. Have a look at your V5, I don't think there is a box to tick or anything if it's being sold abroad specifically, as apposed to you bringing it somewhere to stop you being liable for any fines incurred. DVLA should be able to help, though. We have to do the same thing here in NI if someone from the south of Ireland buys our car, never any problems.
  5. It'll look as @*!# as those guys who buy a car and make it "look" like a Veyron or the Zed that was styled like an R8
  6. Even if it's a uk we should get new alarms. The zed alarm is very quiet, even when you're in the car.
  7. It's true, he needs the whole thing. However you can keep the blue part, it's for exporting and send it off to the DVLA.

    Advice needed

Some alignment kits use prongs that sit over the top of the wheels. Since your car is lowered they will physically not fit under the arch, same as mine. So its time to get a 2x4, measuring tape and a spirit level and align it the old school way. Any decent tyre place worth their salt will be able to do this BTW - I'm assuming your dad thinks the spacers make the wheels poke out too much and will rub the arches, they might, so get them rolled for about £60-£80 to be on the safe side.
  9. Night blue is stunning, I've only seen one in the flesh, awesome! Doesn't have the frost leather does it? Can't see on the phone.
  10. Posted mine over today, hopefully with you in the morning
  11. Cost me £8 for wheels and exhaust, £31 for body kit and lowering springs and nothing for the engine bay bling and interior stuff.
  12. Got it from EPR. Had to wait about 5 months for it, then when it did arrive, I had to send the canards back because they were a joke. I've seen worse fitting bumpers before and this one isn't really that bad. It's just really around the lights is a bit tight and the shelf under the car that the under tray attaches too is about half an inch to an inch too short, so the under tray won't reach the holes. Nothing some cable ties can't fit I did consider them, but the only options are modified 350z one from the states which cost way too much for what they are, and only currently available in white, blue and multicoloured lights, or the actually 370z ones, but then the "Z" is different and that would annoy me. Having said that, my plan has a different Z too Looks awesome brighter colours make the V2 look twice as nice. I've had a few offers, but I'll keep the forum updated and when the diffuser is on I'll launch a little poll to see opinions on the spoiler.
  13. I know 2 guys with CBF's. One recently traded it in for the 250 version, both very happy with them. But, for me, it's 2 stroke all the way. I have a Cagiva Mito laying out the back that needs some serious work (or a skip) but when it was working, it was one hell of a machine. Hit about 115mph with just a Giannelli exhaust and could out drag an M5 until about 70. I'm not even exaggerating when I say 0-60 in 4 seconds.
  14. Thanks guys I have a similar plan, but it'll not be until the new year when all the christmas malarky is out of the way. Don't do it, it's @*!# When I get the rear end done, you'll almost be my ginger twin I have a carbon fiber TS style diffuser to go on and a carbon V1 spoiler, but not sure if i'll fit the spoiler or buy something else.
  15. The mot will be valid and the number plate will be fine for insurers. How do you think we in NI insure our cars?
  16. Is that liquid or crystal ??? haha, I blame Apple for that one
  17. Bringing a car here to NI is simples, buy it and stick it on a ferry Because of the difference in driving agencies, you may have to tell the DVLA that you brought a car from a DVA jurisdiction to theirs but I'm not really sure TBH. Plenty of cars here with mainland plates, so I assume theres no need to change that when you get it back. Just insure it as normal, theres no difference to driving in NI or the mainland Where a bouts are you buying from by the way? Got a link?
  18. I'm getting the Summit strut brace for Christmas from the other half. She tried the car parts thing too, didn't last long She also got me LED rears for my birthday at the start of the year, I wonder what i'll make her buy meths time
  19. I found the best way to do this is from the start goes in a straight line to the end bales, hit them and turn right, run up through the straight line of single cones, turn left before the end of the line to pick up the other cones and finally hit the other bales, thats ya 300 cones sorted and a gold. I'll give it a go tomorrow and update if necessary lol This worked after several attempts, cheers Any tips for the second cone challenge in the lotus?
