  4. The box is not totally sealed, the front portion is open for the air cone, air flows in and any excess air escapes via the vents. Being a sealed box the sound is mental!! You hear it on blip and all the way through the revs like growling demons under the hood. You can hear it clearly on my nurburgring trip see below (go to to 29seconds to hear a blip and then 58seconds for a full 2nd gear blast) At one minute that sounds immense what air intake is this JWT?
  5. Personally I'm not a big fan as they are to big a car for me but.. One of my close mates has one and to be honest they are a nice car, quite comfy a lot of gadgets and if you like to tune then they are very easy both style and performance. its so easy to do stuff your self aswell everything is just clip on with a couple of 10mm bolts here or there. ithe gains are easy and huge compared to a zed, he spent 1k on his and is now running 310(bhp) and 350(ft-lb) and leaves me n my opinion the zed winds hands down but other than compared to a zed which is hard to compare because there completely different cars I would say it is definitely one of the top cars in it's class.
  6. O well atleast if it doesn't do much it will give me some peace of mind I guess.
  7. Think I'm going to go with the shell for oil then. As for the castrol been reading it was pricey just had a quick look and think i'll just go with the motul.
  8. I'm gathering all the bits and bobs for I say a service but a complete overhaul really all fluids, coolant, oils, filters, spark plugs, braided brake and clutch hoses, etc.. hopefully will feel like a new car 1. Has anyone tried shell helix oil in their zed compared to what seems to be peoples favourites usually silkolene pro-s (Titan S) and Royal purple and so on, if so how does it compare? I used it before(not in my zed), and there was a noticable difference over what was in, very smooth. 2. I've been doing a lot of research and for the brake and clutch fluid RBF 600/660 seems to be coming up tops every time but have some doubts. I have heard that motul fluid collects moisture easily and effects the braking power after a while and can need changing often in some cases. I don't drive my car that often to be honest, hard pushed if I do 300 mile a month am I just been over parranoid? Stopping kinda appeals to me
  9. Personally I think that if you don't turn up you don't get paid, if you atleast make an effort then its considerable but not even getting out of bed before calling in . I used to work at an engineering company where if you didnt turn up you still got paid (bad weather, sick, etc) and at the first sign of snow loads of people would say they cant make it, but now I work on the railway. I travel all over the country and its abit different now if they no there not going to get paid. People actually put an effort in to get to work even if you get halfway there and get told to turn around by the boss atleast it shows willing and are more than likely going to get paid(in my case anyway). Just yesterday for exampole to get to machester we had to ditch the work van an go in two cars it took us double the time to get there due to the two main roads been shut but we persevered and got rewarded we turned up and the gaffa let us get off early and get paid the full shift Also as said above if someone in the same area can get in just by something as simple as walking because its not that far then they should feel ashamed and there for don't deserve to get paid.
  10. Think ill give it a go after the snow when i change my headlight bulbs Cheers
  11. You lucky bugger lol id love one I new i'd found it somewhere. Is momentum closed? they seemed to do some good stuff for the zed
  12. I think this is custom made but you want something along the lines of this http://www.z1motorsports.com/imageGallery/main.php/v/Z1Cars/album189/ValidationKit_Photography195.JPG.html Have you tried AEM I think they do a long one but not sure, never seen one fitted.

    Dimpled brakes

What are the dimples for in these brakes? Ive been reading and heard these brakes are good what is it that makes them good besides the 2 piece construction. I couldnt see how dimples would help, or isit just for aesthetics? viewtopic.php?f=157&t=27437&start=0
