  1. Have you been taking lessons of Churchill? A very motivational speech haha
  2. that's sorted then thanks chaps
  3. I am going on track at japfest and am just wondering if I will nedd to swap my brakes. I just have standard brakes (brembos) on and I like how progresive they are for road use. The only thing I am fussed about is brake fade they, stop good enough for me. I have had fade in them before but it was after over an hour of country road driving The braking is going to be alot harder on track but is only going to be 15 minutes ish long so will they last, has anybody been on track with standard brembos?
  4. Or with them being long nuts just get a really small black lock nuts

    Wheel nuts

I would say that these are ok they look like cheap alloy ones but they are steel not aluminium so I don't see why they wouldn't be up to the same standard as normal steel wheel nuts? there actually made out of stronger steel.

    Wheel nuts

I would go for neo chrome personally make them stand out. plus they look and expensive

    Wheel nuts

I was looking at these in gold, but they also do them in your favourite colour (and black) These are a 17mm hex so no problem with aftermarket wheels and are chrome vanadium (steel) as well so they should be a bit better and safer than the usual aluminium ones. These weigh 2oz and the aluminium ones only weigh 0.7oz so there's quite a bit of difference. http://www.funkypowe...id_product=6296 Also this site has a few stunning ones but its in the states. http://www.evasivemo...ategory_Code=L1
  8. The halfords one will be good but there expensive think there around £70 pound. This is the one I have for £20 pound I can't complain also torques upto 210nm http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=380606564289&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=38501691746 silverline tools are average tools but they all come with lifetime guarentees so they can be that bad.
  9. And I would have a look on eBay, I picked up a silverline torque wrench for just over 20 pound and even comes with something the halfords ser didn't come with a 1/2 to 3/8 socket adapter and also it has a lifetime guarentee. Not the best quality but does the job
  10. Some key things I think are a copper mallet a wire brush, some wd40 and a breaker bar makes them tough bolts a hole lot easier. And for reference the halfords pro are brilliant and if you look out for the online deals you can get them cheap I got a 150 piece socket set for £80 more than half price and the best money I have ever spent made working on anything a hole lot easier.
  11. If you wash your car often then use back to black and a cloth and eventually it starts to stain the plastic after a few times of doing it. you just have to rub it in good and put quite a bit on the first couple of times. I was just doing mine today when cleaning the car and they came up great. Also you can do all the other little bits like the rubber seals and made a big difference to my wipers.
  12. Yours looks good thogh. looking forward to seeing it on the car.
  13. Looking good so far Nice wheel choice Whats that spoiler you have got looks good. is it this?
  14. Eureka, I know what the problem is (not that it's not obvious but, just pointing out ) as you have lost 17bhp from having your de-cats been fitted and I have also lost 10bhp since fitting my de-cats and an induction kit on the same RR as I had used before. I take it the zed just really doesn't like them been there without been mapped in. I never thought I was going to gain any power without them been mapped in but losing bhp was a shock and must be for you also. I suppose if we keep going though we may get to 200! YAY
  15. I am already thinking about upgrading the brakes, but I am going to have to try and say no for now Thanks arran that sounds just like what I need , and I am not fussed about travelling to Leicester its not that far anyway
  16. Leicester is not bad at all. ill have a word with cs see if they can sort me out thanks Going to a place where they sell lots of zed goodies this could turn out expensive
  17. Thanks. I will have a look around see if there is any close to me unless anybody can recommend somewhere near sheffield
  18. I need some advice please on the best choice here. My 350 is well overdue a proper service, it hasn't had a garage service for 23000 mile. It got serviced by the place where I bought it but they decided not to stamp it due to all the old service history been by Nissan. I don't know what kind off service this was I am assuming just oil and top up of fluids as the air filter has seen better days. To be safe I would like to give it a big service changing quite a few things. What I would like doing is. oil oil filter + washer spark plugs brake fluid gearbox oil diff oil braided hoses (while the fluid is out) coolant I am supplying all the parts my self and this is what i would like your opinions on please: Do I get all the work done by Nissan who have quoted me £450 in labour charges (which I thought was a bit expensive seen as I am supplying my own parts) or, just have an independent garage do it for me but not get a stamp in the book. Details on my car are. I bought it with 74000 miles on it, an 04 plate with full service history(if you can call it that) all services been done at Nissan until 57000 then it has not had a service to date 81000 (officially) Is it worth paying the price now and getting another Nissan stamp or with the age and mileage of my car is it pointless?
  19. Mine would prob be. Its two but wheels and suspension. Stance. Makes a big difference
  20. I don't no I might end up taking it off. And yeah was the same dyno. I know I haven't had it mapped but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference. Does anybody know if this will follow on when I have a map and always be 10 bhp down or will it come back on the map?
  21. Done a couple of more things so thought I would pop them up. Did the bose hack and tucked it away neatly. (Thanks for the great guide husky ) I have also fitted the induction kit after a lot of messing around. a fiddly job. Ended up with some battle scars Then I thought I would try something different, something to make my zed stand out , the ideas been in my head for a while, sticking with the gold, an offset black and gold stripe. Tell me what you think please I am still a bit unsure but its growing on me. The car has also been dyno'd since the induction kit has been fitted and the results are take a look. I have lost 10 horsie's somwhere
  22. Nice I like it good colour choice Are you not abit worried that with the heated seat on and a long drive that you maybe get hot and it will start to rub off?. Never used leather spray before looks dodgey to me tho ha
  23. Yes it will be interesting it seems like it is in the perfect position to me. I know it has been tested and all that, and velocity stack is the best but surely with the filter been down there it must improve it a little bit.
  24. I an. Hahamy brother he says he likes them ha. Ahh even easier to get back then
