Thanks Guys, My two biggest data types are work at around 16gb and I'd rather that on the lappy for reasons such as losing an external disk, damage etc and I've just started playing battlefield 3 which is massive (30gb +) and I think performance would be terrible if I installed in on an ext disk (if it would even run at all). The rest is mainly bloody windows which is pretty much all my space used up (sigh). I know the SSD will come down probably by 50-100 quid over the next few months which is a real kick in the nads but I might just bite the bullet. I just wanted to know if the hybrids were anywhere near as good as the SSD really. Thanks for taking the time to reply guys.

Guys, I've maxed out my SSD hard drive on my lappy as its only 100gb, I was considering a hybrid drive but the computer shop I'm using doesn't rate them that much and have recommended a 500gb SSD but it is 300 squid and I didn't want to pay that much really. Has anyone got experience of the hybrid drives? Are they that bad, cause I've seen them for sale at around £120 and the spec seems pretty good. Any feed back would be muchos appreciated.
