Not sure hpow much the Falkens will set you back but the Avon ZZ3's have done me proud so far and only cost £560 for all 4 corners.

Err... id not hand tighten a sump nut... surely it would just vibrate out! I always give it a good tighten up with a wrench, but not over doing it. Since your`ve ordered a torque wrench, id wait and use it. Like you say, better safe than sorry! Miss type there/lack of thought, aways hand tightened/guided in first but then wrench (not torqued though) - I miss that GTi!

Got the copper nut plug with the filter from zedman too. I always hand tightened my Gti sump nut but I'd rather torque this one correctly just to be safe as it's a pretty major fail if anything goes wrong! Filter is the same size as the Gti but that was crammed down the side of the engine and was a mare to unscrew, at least the Zed's seems more accessible once you take the undertray off!

So today, these arrived from Alex: Air filter is the old one in the picture, that was a quick and easy job so no issues there. Having never jacked the car up myself and unsure about the location of the oil filter I thought I'd prepare by having a decent breakfast: So then I thought I'd have a look through the guides on here, couldn't find anything specific so gave up and used google, this came up and a video is always nice: So I don't have a torque wrench as I didn't get one for Christmas so had to put off for changing oil & filter today and ordered one for £26 off amazon, shame as I was all geared up to do it, never mind will have to be next week now.

No doubt find it is not submissable in the event of an accident or somerging along those lines Who mentioned submarines?
