  1. So as some of you know I bought my lovely black 2017 nismo about a month back. Two days after buying it i got ill.. So much so that i couldn't even wash it! I also have a 200sx and an Mr2. I was dubious about buying the 370 as the 200 is actually faster on paper. However after test driving the 370.. totally different car!! In a good way! So last year I signed up for one and it arrived in March, although I had it registered in April so that it falls in the new tax band Anyway.. a few shots Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  2. How much are we looking at for a set? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. It's an American thing. The brits watch one too many American movies and pick up the twang. As any 9 year old Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. We are talking about the same thing, but on mine it depends how I release the clutch. If I let it spring out it goes clunk clunk clunk. If I let it out gently it clunks maybe once. When I drove the demonstrator it was not as loud or prominent. The technician told me it was the clutch disengaging and he has looked to check everything was tight. He said to drive it for a week and let the car bed itself in. If it doesn't quieten down or gets worse then the bring it back. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  5. Don't worry about that noise gents, I was worried too, it's perfectly normal for a zed That good to know. But you would think that a car of this calibre would be a but more refined. The noise is almost embarrassingly loud when in slowoving traffic. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  6. I just topped mine up yesterday with ultimatum as that's 99 ron. Got 15 litres in there after 70miles. Spot on 21mpg. That's a mix of cruising and a few blasts. The nismo mats make sense as all the ones I have seen have been for a left hooker Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  7. Hey Cray, welcome to Nismo ownership I have a US Spec Nismo front number plate holder here at the office. I know that running smaller plates gets you in trouble with the plod, so I am looking to see how small I can make my plate whilst keeping it legal. I have personal plate but fear it may not be short enough. For badges, I think I replied to your other thread already today. I have 2 'Z' burger badges at home, the Nissan badges are definitely being ditched in the near future. They are going gloss black I have run a small plate on the 200sx for about 10years with no issues from plod. I was so confident that I put one on the mr2 as well. That's been on there about a year with no issues again and I am in London P.s. also notice lack of burger badges and cowboy hat badges lol
  8. I've got a pristine front Z badge if you want for free. I put it on the car for about a week before removing it and putting some different ones on. It's the satin silver finish. You'd just need to add some double sided backing tape to fit it (and buy the rear badge obviously). Yea please! I will pay for postage! PM Me with postage costs Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  9. Which one is it local dealer? That is shocking but spent surprise me, as I only found out when the service manager came out to try and sell me the service package and said they would renew the RAC cover. I was like.. what RAC cover? Lol!!! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  10. Ok so I took it in today. The noise is more of a rattle than a clunk and happens when you're in first going very slow and drop the clutch to change gear or coast. Apparently they all do it. The demonstrator did it as well but not as prominent as mine. They said to put some miles on it and see if it quietens down else take it back. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  11. I went to Nissan Aldershot to test drive the 370z Nismo. The service was appalling so didn't buy from them. Where abouts are you located? I am near Twickenham. Be good to meet some fellow 370 owners Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. Mine is brand spankers, just picked it up yesterday so i am bound to Nissan for at least 3 years.
  13. Yes, on the Nismo, hence a little anxious, if it was any of my other cars it would be no bother lol! Hairdryer trick sounds good! The vendor of the Z badges recommended the hairdryer too. I have one specifically for car stuff lol! i also have a nice selection of bright orange plastic trim removal tools, so will try these. I am going to put a gloss black badge on the front and chrome on the rear.
  14. Wow!! That's a cracking deal! It's a nismo I take it? I paid more than that with employee discount. Sounds like it was well worth the 4hr drive then. Can't u take it to your local dealer? Mine is going back tomorrow as there is a clunky noose when you drop the clutch at low speed to change gear. Almost like the gearbox is hitting the exhaust. On the bright side i get another one as a courtesy car Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk Yeah it was a good deal for a Nismo I thought. They had 3 of them there. The car is amazing. Totally different from what I've just come from. I'll take it to my local dealer assp. I reckon they knew it wouldn't resolve itself and couldn't be bothered to sort it and knew I didn't live local. Hope you get yours sorted mate. Shouldn't be much I don't expect. The reason they can't be bothered is because they don't have much margin in the car and are really selling at cost (ish). Hence there is no really incentive to spend time on yours. In terms of getting mats, fuel or a free service, i strongly believe you won't get any of them. The reason i say that is because i got mine on the employee deal, which means all of their margins are taken out of the sale. In turn, they were reluctant to give me anything. I had to speak to the main manager to get the mats, fuel was a definite no no! they literally put a drop in it for delivery. My car had 2 miles on it (odometer) and the fuel gauge was reading zero miles when i started the car. The sales man even shamelessly said that he'd better let me go, as he didn't want me conking out lol!!! As long as they sort your's out locally its ok i guess Mine is going back in a few hours. I think you may have missed my question earlier, was your car preregistered before April?
  15. There you go.. keep it! Unless you're strapped for cash. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks Bud! So easy enough then? Any recommendations on the adhesive remover? I have panel wipe and thinners. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  17. Has anyone done this in exchange for the fair lady Z ones? I have just ordered some up, but the car is brand spankers so a bit dubious about pulling the old badges out :o Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. Hey Mat, I got mine today yay! Two questions. What are your views on getting rid of the number plate brick and putting a smaller plate on? Also.. have you thought about ditching the Nissan badges for Z badges? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  19. Oh.. when was yours registered? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

  21. That's a real shame bud. I picked mine up today too and it was on fumes. Nissan don't give you mats or fuel. You have to grovel for it and then you might get a discount. I grovelled and they threw in the mats. No fuel tho.. it was quite literally empty. Was yours a westway? Got to ask tho, why did you buy it 4hrs away from where you live? Which light stayed on? Warning or tyre pressure? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. Also found this www.nissan-global.com/EN/TECHNOLOGY/OVERVIEW/scratch.html But it doesn't say much in the ways of maintenance Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  23. So I got my nismo today and opted for scratch shield as an 800 quid option. Have any of you got it? This is the only info I can find about it on the web: Amazing stuff! However I was speaking to nissan about future protection and they seem to think I polish it as usual. They did say that as paint on new cars is water based and takes about 2 years to fully cure, I should keep the car away from tree sap and such to protect the paint. Do I need to get super guard or is the scratch shield enough? The nissan rep is looking into it as not even he can find much info Lol! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  24. Oh and tomorrow while they investigate the clunk.. I get the white demonstrator to drive around in Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  25. Congrats on the Nismo. Got mine a couple of months ago. I only use V-Power fuel, you should definitely only be using premium 98+. Also, check your front springs for transport blocks. Nissan love to leave them in! I have the same mats in mine. Not sure if Nissan offer a Nismo set. You've still got protective film on your rest pedal too Enjoy it! Thanks bud. I see you got the black one too.. best colour of course I was on the phone to nissan earlier. They are going to look into the clunk and they said the Nismo Mats must be aftermarket as the 370 ones are the only ones they offer. As for the shock stoppers, I read up on that on here and made them aware of it a few weeks ago, they already new about it and had already removed them as someone had a bit of an accident with them on :o They purposely left the plastic on the rest pedal as they said it will get dirty and I can take it off if I wish. Nice of them I thought. With the fuel, they didn't tell me anything about it. It had no fuel in it what so ever so I went and brimmed it with standard 95 only when putting the cap back on I saw it said 98 only :o which meant an immediate visit to eurocarparts and a purchase of octane booster which went in straight away Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
