  1. How many 370Z's do you see on the road? - not many. How many TT's do you see? - loads. It may only be a Nissan but I tell you it still turns heads. I find it quite ironic that a mass producer of cars can deliver an affordable (in terms of purchase price) sports car that is exclusive. I see about one 370 a month and I drive as part of my job.
  2. Wish I got 27.9mpg. Mines around 21- 22mpg with mostly traffic free rural driving.
  3. This is very sad news. I didn't know Mark but feel gutted to hear this news. My thoughts are with his wife and family.
  4. Interesting, but I suspect some wires crossed here and it is 370's made up that VIN number/date quoted. Still waiting for the official recall detail which will confirm, but best advice to any 370 owner who is worried is to call your Nissan Dealer sooner rather than later so that they can order up a replacement part before stock runs out and knowing that same problem affects the GTRs, which use the same part as Will ^^^^^ has discovered . Just had a call back from a very helpful guy at Colliers Nissan HPC and he has confirmed that Nissan Customer Services gave me incorrect information. As you suspected Colin, it's Cars with a VIN number UP TO 0300691 and build date UP TO 24th March 2010 that the recall applies to. Cheers, Scotty
  5. Just spoke to Nissan Customer Services on the 01923 899334 number and they told me that 925 vehicles are affected. He then went on to say the affected vehicles were from VIN no.0300691 and that had a build date from 24th March 2010 which seems odd as I thought '09 and '10 cars were affected. Might be a good idea if another member can phone Nissan Customer Services to clarify the VIN numbers and build dates that the recall applies to. Scotty
  6. Needs lowering & spacers Excellent choice on the exhaust, I have the same one for the 350Z Totally agree, lowering springs, spacers and a proper wheel alignment and this car will be sorted!
  7. Just about to have a P2 service and currently have Motul 8100 Eco-Clean 5W30 as engine oil. Looking at the Motul website there is another engine oil they do called 8100 Eco-Nergy 5w30. Has anyone used this one? Is it suitable and if so what is the difference? Will ring Motul tomorrow. Cheers, Scotty
  8. Has anyone had any dealings - good or bad - with regard to servicing at Colliers Nissan High Performance Centre in Birmingham.
  9. I like to think that £800 then £460 after that buys you a bit of exclusivity - helps keep the number of 370Z's down. I'm still amazed at how often I see another 370 - hardly ever!

    P2 Service

I thought that noise that disappears when the clutch is depressed was normal???????? Are they going to sort that out under warranty - if so I'll be taking mine in soon as!
  11. 15-20,000 miles a year in a 370Z with Super Unleaded - now that sounds expensive!
  12. The worse category for bad driving I see on the road is young MALES in vans. Time after time I see poor and dangerous driving from that category.
  13. Great idea! Just done this, took 15 mins and saves 1.2kg. I've also done a rear wiper delete including removing the wiper motor which takes the weight saving to about 3.5kg + the car looks better without the rear wiper imo. Rear hatch opens perfect and doesn't feel any different to close. Every little helps.
  14. I have the same issues - it's the colder weather.
  15. Very subtle and very nice. I really like that. Wouldn't look out of place on it's own without any other bits of bodykit. Might be a problem scraping as mine is lowered although not as much as the one in the photo.
  16. Twilight Grey looks superb when the sun is shining but must admit when it's cloudy it is a bit dull.
  17. No, I went for a pint with my local police officer last night and no charges being pressed. he had a detached retina and cracked jaw, the only reason they kept him in was the dentist couldnt see him till tuesday when the swelling had gone down a bit to remove the couple of teeth. I did hurt my knee tho which is quite sore, i banged it on the passenger door helping his mate out . Might have been best to damage his car rather than him - less risky for you. Not worth the legal nightmare if he had pressed charges or worse still if he'd have suffered more serious injuries - not that a detached retina, cracked jaw and broken teeth isn't serious enough!
  18. Had the Swift Lowering Springs and Eibach 25mm Spacers on for while now so spent £45 on a wheel alignment. Before, After, Everything back within spec apart from the front left camber just slightly out. Really surprised that the rear cambers are both within spec as quite a few people in the states with my combo need camber kits on the rears. Very pleased with these two mods as the car looks much better and handling much improved in terms of less body roll and the steering feeling much more "pointy" giving more confidence when driving in a spirited manner. Some negatives are speed humps have to be taken more cautiously, slight rubbing on front wheel arch liners (the little nobbly bit that sticks out) when suspension under heavy compression and 25mm spacers on the rears just gives 2-3mm poke which I'm still deliberating on as to whether I like or not. I'll add some photo's when I've washed the car. I must say many thanks again to Tarmac and Mitz and Andy at CS - excellent traders! Cheers, Scotty
  19. I've found that speed humps have to be taken quite a bit slower and/or at a sharper angle otherwise the underboby does scrape slightly but nothing too bad. If you lower you will probably want spacers as well as the standard 19 inch wheels just don't look right in the arches when lowered without spacers - imo.

    370Z Exhausts?

I nearly went for the HKS Hi-Power - looks the dogs danglies but in the end went for the Akarapovic as it was easier to source. Both are expensive (around £2000 when I was looking) and top quality. Don't get High Flow Cats if you want to keep the noise down.
  21. Hi Andy and welcome. I'm lowered on swift springs. I found that lowering does not look good with regards to the way the wheel sits in the arch so have opted for 25mm Eibach spacers all round which made a massive improvement looks wise. As soon as everything settles I'm going to get the alignment done although I think I might struggle with getting the camber back to within OEM specs. We shall see! Cheers, Scotty
  22. Akrapovic+Berks HFC´s reassuringly expensive! Great quality,Great sound hardly any fitment issues. Still looks like new after 13 months. I did consider the Fast Intensions but the cans do hang rather low might be a problem especially if you are going to lower the car. cheers, Scotty
  23. Had my rear drivers side tyre repaired (nail) a month ago for £15. I've driven the car spirited and had no problems and still holding correct pressure. I believe the punture repair has to conform to a certain British Standard.
  24. £28K for a GT86 or £22K for this: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... code=ucnnp including sat nav and less than 5000 miles! Wouldn't take me long to decide on that one!
  25. I've bought a set of 25mm Eibach spacers for the front which I'll hopefully fit at the weekend and will see if they rub on the wheel arch liner. If they do rub I'll put the 25mm on the rear and buy a set of 20mm for the front.
