  1. Swift springs were from Tarmac ( a trader on here) - he did them as a one off for me as they were quite expensive and had to be sourced from USA. What time are you at CS on Monday?
  2. Yes that's my car lowered but before the spacers. Doesn't look right lowered without spacers.
  3. Dropping 35mm on the front and 30mm on the rear will for sure give you clearance issues regarding speed humps, kerbs, ramps etc. I have Swift Spec R lowering springs which are very highly regarding on the US 370 forum and lower 30mm front 25mm rear. I had to remove the front chin spoiler and tyre deflectors otherwise they would be mangled. Speed humps still have to be taken at an angle to avoid scaping. I actually think the front of my 370 looks tidier wihout the chin spoiler and tyre deflectors. Once lowered you will defo need spacers. I eventually settled on 25mm front and 20mm rear which takes me flush with the bodywork and yes I did get slight rubbing on the wheel arch liner. Once the springs and spacers were fitted I then had the geo done and found all but one corner was in factory spec so decided against camber arms at that stage. That was around 6000 miles ago and have got to say tyre wear is quite even. You are welcome to pop over to Leicester and have a look at my 370 sometime. I'm 10mins from junction 20 M1. Also would thoroughly recommend CS top chaps Mitz and Andy who know their stuff! Cheers, Scotty
  4. First real fault in 3 years! When i open the drivers door the window goes down a few millimetres but does not go back up once the door is closed and then if you keep opening and closing the door the window keeps going down a few millimetres at a time until fully down. I think this has to be an electrical fault rather than a settings issue but any advice from you guys would be much appreciated. Cheers, Scotty
  5. My car is due it's first MOT soon and was wondering whether anyone has had any problems with the emmisions part of the test on their 370 with HFC's,aftermarket exhaust and Uprev or should it just sail through! Cheers, Scotty
  6. That's not too far from me. I'm halfway between Market Harborough and Lutterworth. If you need any work doing on the Z then CS is the place to go - there based in Leicester and I would thoroughly recommend them. Cheers, Scotty
  7. Welcome to the forum. Whereabouts in the East Mids? Anywhere near Leicester?
  8. I get 22mpg and just over 300 miles out of a tank full of Shell V power Nitro+. That's with mainly "spirited" rural driving. One of the best things about 370 ownership is that it's still a rare car and is still a bit of a head turner. I do agree that you need a few mods to get the best out of it.
  9. Great video + great sounding combo. I have the same "hiss" noise with my Akrapovic/Berks combo and to be honest I would sooner not have it (the hiss noise that is), although I think it might be a side effect of fitting HFC's.
  10. Regarding the Uprev, did you get the five maps which switchable via the cruise control button. It's these that alter the throttle response, I find not alot of difference between them. Cheers, Scotty
  11. 329.5hp at the Hubs - very impressive! The car must feel so much more responsive.
  12. That surprises me. I thought the GT Edition replaced the GT model for years 11/12. Maybe need some more comments from the other guys on the forum.
  13. I would see whether you can get the geometry back within factory spec after everything is fitted before going ahead with camber kits. Just keep an eye on any uneven tyre wear as it may cost you more in replacement tyres than buying camber kits. I have slightly uneven tyre wear but not enough to justify buying camber kits especially as I only do around 4000 miles a year.
  14. Looks just right to my eyes. I've been dithering over spacers for a long while. I had my alignment done after new tyres recently. Would I need to get it done again if I put spacers on? Yes. I managed to get back to within factory tolerances bar one wheel and that is only just out. You can buy camber kits that will get you back to spot-on alignment but it's extra expense and to be honest my tyre wear whilst not perfect is pretty even.
  15. i see you... In the second photo you can see the tyre poking beyond the wheel arch at the top - which is what I had. I lived with it for months but it bugged me so much that I changed to 20mm on the rear and was really glad I made the change - it just tucks that tyre in a little bit more. It's all of course a matter of opinion though. I'll try and get some photos up at the weekend.
  16. Mark, I thought yours had rubbed on the the front wheel arch liner (sticky out bit) like mine and that you had done a fix for it? So just to clarify - the front wheel arch liner has some protruding bits to it near where it meets the edge of the wing. Whenever the suspension is under load say for example going fast over a dip I can hear the tyre just brush the bump on the wheel arch liner and when I look at this protruding bit of the liner I can see the rub marks. I thought it may just be my Swift Springs but was pretty sure marconorth had the same issue and he is running with the Eibachs.
  17. You will need spacers otherwise the wheels will not look good in terms of how they sit in the arches. I went for 25mm spacers all round to start with but had a little too much 'poke' at the rear so then changed just the rears to 20mm. I had no rubbing on the rear but did have rubbing on the fronts but only when suspension is under load. Some will say 25mm all round but for me 25mm front and 20mm rear is perfect. Cheers, Scotty
  18. Correct. I have the same plates as George and those deatils are on the right hand side of the plate on mine. I don't think George has a photo that includes the right hand side of his plate is his post.
  19. Windscreen replacement went good. Excellent chap from Autoglass took great care and around 3 hours to do. Alot of trims had to come off but everything went back perfect with no damage. Very pleased.
  20. Same style plates as mine in terms of 3D carbon effect. Also got mine from Demon Plates. Totally legal and look superb. Makes a big difference for low cost. Cheers, Scotty
