  1. Many thanks to Andy at CS for fitting the Swift springs to my 370. Top job and no issues apart from the fact that the car now needs spacers which Mitz ordered yesterday and were delivered today! Great service and customer focus.
  2. Tyre deflectors and front chin have both been removed. I was scraping those before lowering! Think I might order just 1 set of 25mm, try them on the front if they fit without rubbing - job done, if not at least I can use them on the back and then get 20mm on the front. The 25mm only come with one type of fitting system whereas with the 20mm you have a choice of two fitting systems with one being a bit more involved than the other. Give Alex a shout mate, he double checked with Eibach direct on the correct fitments I'm sure you'll be ordering a second set straight away George, have you had the wheel alignment done yet? I've read loads of posts on the 370Z.com forum saying it needs doing after lowering to try and recover the camber back to OEM settings.

  4. Problem is I'm now lowered on Swifts which gives a 30mm drop at the front which means if I fit 25mm spacers would likely cause rubbing with the wheel arch liner. George, do you get any rubbing with your 25mm spacers at the front?
  5. Looks like I'll be getting these spacers on the front and 25mm on the back. Thing is Eibach have two fitment systems (system 4 and system 6 ) for their 20mm spacers. I think with system 4 there is no need to replace the OEM wheel studs where as with system 6 replacement wheel studs are included in the kit. Has anyone fitted 20mm Eibach spacers to the front and which fitting system did they use? System 4 is the easiest fit but have there been fitment issues? System 4 part no. is S90-4-20-034 System 6 part no. is S90-6-20-019 I've spoke to Mitz at CS about this but still wanted to find out what other owners used. Any advice much appreciated. Cheers, Scotty
  6. Swift Springs now fitted by Andy at CS - excellent service as usual. Here's some photo's including one of the OEM springs - quite a difference! The problem I've got now is that I could really do with some spacers - i'm thinking Eibach 20mm front and 25mm rear. Has anyone with Eibach 20mm spacers on the front had to change the wheel studs to accomodate the wheel or is it a case of bolt on using existing studs? Also I can't get the wheel alignment done until I've decided on the spacers so will do a proper review once everything is sorted. A big thank-you to Tarmac for sorting these springs - Top Man!
  7. + Hope you have some money left over for an exhaust upgrade.
  8. The Swift springs finally arrived last week. I hope it's a case of reassuringly expensive! Not long to wait to find out as CS will be fitting them this Saturday. I'm going to wait 3-4 weeks for them to settle then I'll get a wheel alignment done and try to minimise the excessive negative camber. Many thanks to Tarmac as importing these springs from America myself was just not financially viable.
  9. Is yours lowered too Scotty?...How have you found it? Mines not lowered yet. Tarmac is currently sourcing some Swift Sport Springs (Spec R) from the US of A. They reckon these are the best springs for the 370 on the 370Z.com forum. They lower the front by 30mm and the rear by 25mm. When reading the many reviews about lowering I've found opinon split on whether to fit a rear camber kit or not. I've completely removed the front chin spoiler and had the fixing holes filled and professionally sprayed. Looks like I'll need to remove the tyre aero deflectors as well with a 30mm drop(which will 'tidy' the underside up a bit - I always thought they looked ugly)! I'm hoping the drop will partly negate any aero disadvantage caused by removing the chin spoiler and tyre deflectors. Cheers, Scotty
  10. If you go on the 370Z.com forum stateside there is loads of info regarding lowering and camber issues. Have you had any issues with scraping since lowering?
  11. It's looking like Tarmac will soon be offering Swift springs - great news and thanks to Chris (Tarmac) for his efforts. I hope they live up to all the hype about them on THE370Z.com forum.
  12. I've been trawling through the reviews of lowering springs on The 370Z.com forum and it looks like the vast majority say that the Swift lowering springs are the best spring for the 370. Trouble is I can't find a distributor/seller in the UK/Europe and just know the shipping costs from the states will be high. Has anyone else been looking at these springs? Think I might get Tarmac on the case. Cheers, Scotty
  13. Noisey bearing. I have a slight noisey in mine, I was in the dealers yesterday for something else and got them to check it. Their tecky said, 'yes it's noisey, but Nissan would not replace under warranty' It's logged on there system, so, we will both keep an eye on it. I have the same noise on my 370. At idle with the clutch out sounds like a rough bearing noise but when the clutch pedal is pressed the noise goes away. I think it maybe a characteristic of the car as it's mentioned quite a bit on the 370Z.COM forum in the states.
  14. That's where I'll be going when I get the car lowered.
  15. What dyno was that on? Most we've seen have been from Abbey on they Dynapack, 320@hub sounds high compared to theirs. Maybe you have a freak of nature I believe George (GMAN) went to RS Tuning in Leeds which I would imagine explains the difference in figures between his and mine - bearing in mind we have the same mods. Do RS Tuning measure at the fly/hubs/wheels?
  16. 1. HFC's were already installed. 2. Performance has noticeably improved throughout. 3. 5 maps for varying the aggresiveness of the throttle response, not power output. 4. Maps are swithched via the cruise control set and cancel buttons. The cruise control light flashes 1 to 5 times depending what map your in. 5. Uprev remap is around £400. I've spent around £3000 on my mods including fitting costs. The mods have transformed the car in terms of performance and sound. You could spend around £800-£1000 less on an exhaust but the Akrapovic is a real quality piece of kit and is beautifully made. Cheers, Scotty

    MXP Cat Back

I had the Akrapovic exhaust and Berk HFC's done at the same time and felt that there was a noticeble improvement in performance. I then waited a few months before having the Uprev remap. I would say the biggest improvement (in terms of performance) was from the remap as opposed to exhaust+hfc's with no remap.

    MXP Cat Back

You will need an Uprev remap to maximise the gains. Definately worth every penny. Still puts a grin on me old face everytime I floor it and only 1.5mpg less.

    MXP Cat Back

Sounds LOUD, but that's because the cats have been removed and test pipes fitted.
  20. Car looks great. I hope you're going to upgrade the exhaust with all that money you saved with it being an ex-demo.
  21. When I had the Akrapovic and Berks fitted there was very little clearance to the crossmember. Though it wasn't resting on it, whenever I went over an uneven or bumpy road surface the exhaust knocked against the crossmember. This I couldn't live with so took it back to the garage (CS) and I think they removed one of the exhaust mounting brackets from the car and bent it slightly and it did the trick - more clearance and no exhaust knocking.
  22. Are you going to get the Uprev for even more smiles? It really does make a difference although that traction control light will be flickering alot more!
  23. Just out of curiosity does the leather case have an Z logo on it or is it a generic Nissan case with Nissan embossed on it? Just says Nissan. Then I happened to look in cubby behind drivers seat and found the original case with manual. But there is no manual for navigation system in either case, did everyone else get one? Yep, you should have a separate Navigation System manual.

  25. Yep, it's a manual. Just informed Admiral insurance and only £27.99 extra with the remap.
