  1. Thanks for the heads up . I prefer Tokyo Drift out of the whole series.
  2. Just remember when you pull away you might rip the trailer from the wheels due to the torque .
  3. Least we know the crumple zone in a Zed isn't our faces .
  4. When reading the name of the product, was I the only one to think of this:
  5. I'll have to check out this site. Is it worth a mod sending him an email asking if he wants to be on this forum too? Every member counts .
  6. I had the same issue (a mystery noise). I finally found it was the drivers inside door handle vibrating. Can't think for the life of me how to fix the problem though... I will end up just smashing it with my fist I think .
  7. I remember seeing an interview with Jay Leno who has a jet powered motorbike... And they don't have an MOT in the States as far as I am aware. Their safety rules aren't as strict either, hence why they still have full bull-bars on 4x4s etc.
  8. I started laughing when I heard they guy filming starting to go. I can just imagine what he will say when he gets home . Anyone notice the numberplate: SOSEXYZ
  9. Generally, cars like that are stolen as they are quick cars and are easy to use for crimes like burglary and armed robbery. Cars being shipped off to the continent are usually far more expensive (no offence to the guy who has had it stolen) usually in excess of £35k. Old Subaru Imprezas are commonly stolen as they go like the clappers, are easy to steal and easily dumped when needed. Same thing with cars like this. You can get a full "team" of burglars in that car rather than stealing a coupé like a Z4. Tracker in my opinion are hit and miss. I don't know about other forces, but in London, cars are fitted with Tracker receivers which can pick up a signal and it works great. Tracker can boost it if needed. The problem is, thieves are wise of Tracker now, which is why stolen cars are regularly dumped in quiet residential streets or industrial estates, so if they do have Tracker installed, they are generally found in a few days, if they aren't, they go pick them up again. Depending on how heavily modified the car was, it may strip down well for parts so the owner should keep an eye on eBay/Gumtree (which is the worst for stolen goods) and for those selling it with little feedback or vague return address when asked. It's sad thing and I hate how people so freely take others property because they are too thick to get a job and buy things of their own.
  10. I quite like it on mine. I didn't like the original and the really stubby ones just don't work in London for me (I wonder if being 3 miles from Heathrow affects it). Doesn't bother me having it on eBay though .
  11. Sorry not thanked you yet, only been able to get on the forum via the iPhone until today. Cheers for sorting that out for me last minute. I will try and be there next year though .
  12. Try buying a guitar from the USA made of Brazilian Rosewood . As the wood is an endangered species, it has to be sent will full CITES documentation. It took about 3 weeks to clean US customs then another 2 to get through UK customs. Never again...
  13. I got my car from a Peugeot dealer who took it in part ex. The fact it was listed for more than a brand new Peugeot told me it was somewhat overpriced. I got them down £800 + got an extra £250 for my Fiesta (on top of what they offered for it). Some dealers need the space on the forecourt more than anything else.
  14. Bought a stubby aerial on my 350z and informed the seller I had put it on my 350z. He asked if I could send some pictures of it fitted and he will show listings showing the fit etc. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350Z-Z33-F ... 5d2f8bf8b7 However, he either has had to raise his prices due to an increase in his cost, or he may think he can get more money from owners of cars like ours. Either way, these work great and my car models them well. Until then, if you want one, search for his listing for a Mini aerial, it's about £3-4 cheaper. I must say though, I went through 2 "cheaper" alternatives which never worked, which ultimately cost more than this one on its own.

    My New Car

I missed this thread too. I've always liked Skylines you got the best colour too .
  16. No need for words, just a bucket please: *drools* This car reminds me a quote I heard from The Simpsons years back... "the pride of the United States Air Force: the British-made Harrier Jump Jet!"
  17. At first I thought it would be a tow-away which is on the up recently as it is harder to steal cars without keys and breaking into houses is getting more risky. It's pretty disgusting to be honest and virtually impossible to prevent . When you see a car being carried on the back of a low-loader you would rarely bat an eyelid. After reading the full thread it was heard being driven away. I hope he gets it back soon, I'd be gutted too. It's more likely it will end up being used for more serious crimes though, one of the main reasons why older Impreza's are regularly stolen .
  18. Do you part ex . Seriously though I'll have to wait until pay pay this month, been a bit of an expensive July .

    Spacers Swap

I am looking to swap a pair of my 20mm Eibach spacers for some 25mm spacers. If anyone is looking for a mutual swap Let me know. Price difference only seems to be a few pounds depending on what site I look on. PM me if you are interested
  20. I wondered about your second point myself, but wondered if anyone had tried it. I figured the thicker spacers wouldn't work, but the 3mm may have left enough thread to fit with enough thread to work safely:wacko:. Didn't know that they could cause wobble though. I'll have to start looking around for some 25mm .
  21. Funny, I was wondering the same thing today. I will be looking at getting down to Abbey soon and didn't want to be laughed at when I say I used regular unleaded .
  22. Does anyone have a track day car here? If it wasn't for the fact I live in probably the worst location for a race track I would seriously be thinking of getting a car just to drive to the track, have some fun and come home again. I've not tracked my 350z and I still don't know if I would want to, but the thought of a track day car is pretty appealing. Especially bike powered cars, cheap to run rather than getting a 3.0L monster. If you do have one, what do you have? If you want one, what would you get? (with a realistic price) Personally, I would want something that is fun, not only on a track but on normal trips too. I would be looking for a Mini Cooper with a Hayabusa or R1 engine in (0-60 in 3.5 seconds ).
  23. I'd kill for the following: 1967: Toyota 2000GT: 1974 Mazda RX 4: (Note, the 2000GT sold for about £500,000!)
  24. I recently got some spacers from someone on the forum (20mm all round). Now looking at it, I would prefer 25mm on the back. I was looking on the Rare-Rims website and they sell "slip on spacers" which I have seen used a few times on friends cars. My question is, is it safe to use these as well as bolt on spacers? If I was to remove the 20mm bolt-on, put the slip-on and then bolt the 20mm back on, effectively locking them into place. (And sorry, that was hard to explain ) It seems like a fairly easy/cheap way to mess around with spacing if it is safe (which I don't see why not, as they are bolted in place by the spacers). Thanks
