  1. In the words of Guy Martin, "Shandy drinkin southern pufters" haha I guess if you go to a garage where you pay a mechanics labour then fair enough. The place i ggot above price was a spot called "Budget tyres and exhausts". they're good at what they do though and top bants aswell
  2. I have an Invidia Gemini true dueal which is fairly quiet so i'd be tempted to go for a non-silenced one. i'll have a look into whats available though. I love the sound of this Zed
  3. My grand scheme for after MOT is De-cats then a Remap. Can't find too much info about them on here. What is the best De-cat that is still a fair price? I'm after a bit of volume and raspiness so this wouldn't bother me... ?? sorry
  4. My local spot charge 10 quid a wheel or 15 quid if its 18" or more. i asked him if he could do it for 10 once but he said thats to cover the insurance incase they damage them. Seems fair enough and they allways do a good job.
  5. Thanks for that real helpful, very interacting to hear the clutch goes about 40k is there a up rated one which people normally go for? 40k may be a little on the cautios side but i'm sure he can advise you
  6. Welcome. the 350Z will definately feel a lot more sporty than a TT Theres a lot of stuff on here about buying but i would say some major things are: Clicky rear axle. wind the windows down, set of from stationary and listen for a metallic click. if you hear it, walk away or knock some serious cash off. the transmission is quite noisy thoug so don't worry about that unless its really bad. Clutches only last about 40k on manual (apparently) mine was knackered when i got it, luckily the garage replaced it though but its still hastle. Check for worn syncros in higher gears. Make sure the boot stays open by itself when lifted. Check the windows don't drop a little at motorway speeds. Sure there is a few more things but theres some to look out for
  7. Probably a bit late now but i have OEM cats back system sat in my workshop...
  8. I went to the local supermarket. I said ‘I want to make a complaint; this vinegar’s got lumps in it’ He said ‘Those are pickled onions’
  9. I bet they could look pretty smurf on the right car.
  10. That is the most awesome thing i have ever seen. you HAVE to make one!!! this was one of the comments on youtube, "Now we just need one for porn."
  11. cool, can you beat / match this deal?
  12. Is dodo juice easy enough to buff off by hand or do i really need an orbital buffer to do it?

    Handling

I had exactly the same problem when i picked my car up. the garage had put new back tyres, kaiser something on the back to get it through its mot before i picked it up. I nearly spun on the wet motorway on the way back, slightly damp roads or any kind of change in surface / camber, markings on the road would really unsettle the car. it would crab about all the time and even with the TC off the slip light was coming on all the time and the brakes were grabbing at random wheels. it was very scary. I actually posted in a thread called 'suspension problems' on here. anyway. it was the tyres. I couldn't believe the difference it made and now i would never put even a mediocre tyre on my car. if you have a fairly powerful rear drive car you need good tyres!!! I would get them changed fast, and make sure you put the same on the back as the front, or get new tyres all round Lets not turn this thread into a battle about which tyres he should get though, we have enough of those allready.
  14. i cant read after page 2. want to know if it was a ****-take or not.
  15. Never had one myself but i was curious one day and looked it up. I think that when youre running boost, oily @*!# can get forced past the piston rings. oil catch can filters this out so theat you dont get a build up of crud.
  16. I have a carbon panel where the satnav goes which houses all my gauges, 2 x afr gauges, oil temp and nitrous pressure The kit is expensive if you want an all singing all dancing. I bought pault's old kit with heaters and remote bottle openers etc Buying it all new equates to nearly 2k by the time it gets into the country Ians' kit looks awesome and stealthy, (costs more to install that way) mines is on show and not hidden away. Cool. got any pics?
  17. thanks guys. the aim would eventually be for a 75 shot. if the majority of the tuning cost is the uprev liscence then i might just get that done first as i was definately going to get that done anyway. at least then i can enjoy that for a while then decide exactly what i want from the nitrous. Wasso did you ever find something to go in place of the satnav screen?
  18. And i'm back on this thread again. Thought i had talked myself out of nitrous but oh-no. now i have a full exhaust system i feel to get my monies worth out of it i need re-map from RS in the spring along with some DE-cats or HFCs. which lead me back to this thread and thinking of getting nitrus at the same time so i don't have to take it for tuning twice. and now have spent most of my saturday evening looking at various available kits again =/. hmm maybe i should just get the cats and map first then the maybe nitrous. that way i can enjoy each stage in upgrading Damn why does my mind allways go this way when it comes to tuning cars? allways with the, "well while i'm at it i may aswell." lol
  19. Just as something to think about i found that switching to a 40 profile on rays gave good results. but only if you do both fronts and backs of course.
  20. mmmm sounds like its about to kill something
  21. I had a turbo back milltek on my Gti and the gemini on the Zed fitted by the same bloke. he said they are 2 of the best quality exhausts ever seen. would be nice to get something different. I only knew of one other on the forum who had the gemini before i got mine fitted but it looks like they are getting quite popular.
