  1. I can well see and empathise with the emotional argument for independence. However, I keep asking myself.....if Scotland was a PLC would the board of directors consider that their independence "plan" was sufficiently robust to put to their shareholders. I guess that's the thing with politics.....it can be about broad ideas and aspirations.
  2. I think it will be no by a slightly bigger margin than the latest polls are indicating.
  3. +1 for Autoglym. If it needs any restoration then Renovo is excellent.
  4. In the picture marked as "Hobby 43" please could you explain what you are doing with the Knockwurst, Duck Billed Platypus and Copper Grease - it's difficult to see from the angle it was taken from?
  5. All of which reminds me........ In my garage I still have my OEM 17s with good winter tyres on - but no 350Z to put them on Made a big difference last winter. I must do a for sale advert some time now people are starting to think about this. Have already acquired winter wheels and tyres for the XK8 (I always buy them in the summer).
  6. Do they not do John Craven's Newsround any more then?
  7. As I understand it a "yes" vote would effectively be "throwing a six" for the serious discussions to start. Presumably, ahead of the next General Election, all the mainstream parties would then have to adopt a position in the light of that vote (not necessarily the same as the position they might take ahead of a vote). The more I think about this, if my only interest was an academic, historical one, it would be really fascinating. Some of the private client brokers have started issuing generic notes to their clients/the world at large trying to outline what some of the issues would be and matters to be considered around the FS industry. The numbers of people/Analysts/Project Managers that would need to be employed to work it all out would be massive (thinking just about Banking, Insurance and Investment).

    NEW Jaguar XJ

I'm sure you wouldn't want a longer one than you've already got
  9. Bear in mind that it's Cat C that they may well consider a "bold" offer - £5,990 is just the advertised price.
  10. Bugger! I'm going to Glasgie for 2 weeks tomorrow Don't do it - it was also the most knackering 2 years of my life and I haven't touched much drink since
  11. The BBC publish the latest polls on their website and sometimes a poll of polls.
  12. I also wish everyone well. The two years I spent travelling up and working in Glasgow every few days were amongst the best of my working life....it was an exciting time working for a vibrant company with a hell of a lot going on. Also the best Thai curry I ever had was enjoyed there and far too many "unintended" late nights.... "just one last drink - that's all ....oh ok then....."
  13. I totally agree with everything that you have said here What I'm looking for is all the others that have made ridiculous statements without any facts to let us know where they get the info from to make these statements. What you have said above is 100% correct and factual. I think that's what worries me about the nature of the debates. When I think back to my days in business and mapping out the number of things that we had to consider, at the beginning of the project, just to deliver some products to a partner company (albeit both were FTSE 100 companies). I then start to imagine the number of issues and inter-reactions that would be affected by independence - it would make War and Peace look like an Amoeba's beret label.
  14. I still have 2.....1992 1.3 and 1993 1.6. Previously owned an '89 1.3. Current cars are 16v versions (92-97). Both running as well as they have ever done.
  15. I actually saw a Ford Orion the other morning! First one ive seen on the road in about 14 years!!! I had to do a double take! Yep...they are a very rare sight indeed.
  16. The Giulietta is a beauty. The Lambo's not bad either
  17. Good point - engine is now mounted North South as opposed to original which would be East West so a possibility - apparently it does not have a tip over sensor but the later models do. Only happens on right hand bends and not all the time. That would probably make sense then. I can only think of one other fuelling issue but I have no idea whether this applies to bike engines in cars. On Webers DCOE you would get fuel frothing if they were mounted on the manifold too tightly - you had to have quite a bit of movement in them. If they were too tight the fuel would froth up and you could therefore end up momentarily with nothing but air ....but that would result from the excessive vibration rather than angle of dangle.
