  1. Assuming you've got OEM rays wheels and no spacers, the wheels should be inboard of the arch. What does the camber look like if you crouch down and look from the back of the car? Should basically look like zero degrees as standard. The alignment could have got screwed if you've hit a big pothole etc, but that sounds a bit dodgy to me! I'd get it checked for sure - Abbey can do this for you. The super pro bushes that Abbey also do are very good and will sharpen the front end of the car up. There's no additional noise from them, maybe a slightly more choppy ride, but they're well worth it especially if you're having new banana arms fitted anyway. Glad to hear you're lovin' the Zed though!
  2. So not much love for The Last of Us then? Shame, I was going to pick that up. OP, Dishonoured is a great game if you like a bit of FPS action

    LOL

hands off SSR - they're a quality wheel (although I don't have the LMGT4 reps as pictured!)

    LOL

So soon you'll able to buy a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy etc wheel and get something that looks like a TE37 for about 50p
  5. OP, Alex is a great guy to get stuff off, but might be worth you having another chat with Mark @ Abbey too - when I spoke with him a while back about coilovers he was saying the damping/spring rates they run on the BC units actually give a more compliant ride over bumps that the sometimes choppy ride on the OEM shocks. I'm intending to get some of them fitted at service time in a few months. Can recommend the superpro bushes too - they sharpen things up nicely
  6. I had Bridgestone RE050As on my Rays before I switched wheels and they were pretty good. Kumho Ecstas and Vred Ultracs also get some good reviews although I can't comment from personal experience
  7. Got the exact same crack in my a-pillar mate. Been there since I got the car and never really bothered me too much as it's not that noticable on my car. As people say it's easy enough to replace the placcy molding if you want to.
  8. Oh and as for make, Michelin Pilot SS all the way. Not cheap but loads of grip, last well, and look great
  9. On a 9.5j and 10.5j? I thought the tire sizes you specified were for 9 & 10j? That's what I'm running on 9.5 and 10.5. Slight stretch on the front but it's all good
  10. Please don't dude - looks awesome as it is!* *Although it's your car and it's up to you

    Monaro Vxr

I'm in the rip-off tax bracket with the zed anyway bud, so that's fine, and as Lexx said mpg isn't so bad on the motorway. Don't really use my car in the week anyway so it's less of an issue. Like your VX220 btw - nice!

    Monaro Vxr

Thanks Lexx, good to get the views of an ex-owner of a similar car. Guy down my road has a black VXR8 with black rims - it looks like Darth Vader on wheels and sounds like the apocalypse has arrived Not really sure I want a saloon though, even though I imagine that size wise the coupe isn't much smaller. I have had a soft spot for V8 Holdens since I spent time in Oz many moons ago. Good to know fuel economy isn't too bad - not much different to the zed on a long run then Ekona, the barge-with-a-lazy-woofly-V8 aspect quite appeals to me Think I'm getting old! More research required I think, and getting a house move out of the way first!

    Monaro Vxr

Cheers for the thoughts guys. I think a visit to the Monkfish website is in order today The interior looks pretty decent from pics and they seem to come with a decent amount of toys - if it's slightly low rent Vs the usual German suspects and a bit vectra-esq, that doesn't bother me too much - probs still better plastics than the MY03 zed trim! @Jetset yeah I think Lexx had a VXR8 but probs worth me getting his take - I'd be looking at a late model Monaro and I don't think the VXR8 is that different in terms of performance/handling/specs etc

Had a quick look on tinternet just now and you're looking at £12-£15k for c2007 car with the 6 litre engine - lotta performance for the dosh!

    Monaro Vxr

Anyone got any thoughts/experience of the Vauxhall Monaro Vxr as an ownership proposition and Vs. 350z? Followed one for a bit tonight and it sounded absolutely epic......thought I liked the sound of my zed but this thing was on another level! Owning a V8 is is an itch I want to scratch too........... Can't really trade the zed in just yet but probably could in the not too distant future and the VXRs look amazing value to me....... Thanks all!
  16. @ cs2000 I got my genuine GT-Spec brace from Tarmac for a very good price so maybe give him a shout as RT aren't going ahead with this
  17. US only I think. They're nice wheels though
  18. See Ian's comment again buddy
  19. Specialist bud - Nissan dealers are a bit hit and miss when it comes to looking after zeds! I'd take it to Abbey Motorsport who are a trader on here and just down the road from you in Oxted. They look after a number of cars from the forum including mine Oh, and and hope you're enjoying your new zed!

    Help

    First off I'd bud
  21. Might get TC issues without a staggered set up....

    Exhaust based dilema

+1 for everything. A zed deserves decent parts and an uprev!
