  1. Thanks, Yeah should really change the driving experience I hope, I do like the diamond cut rim but they never last so tempted to go solid colour when I get them refurbished
  2. Springs are from here about half the price of the weak OEM ones https://www.opentop.fr/350z-1?lang=en
  3. So the opentop boot springs arrived today got to say look very well made and fast service, they were only ordered late Wednesday, 30 seconds later and they were fitted and I can open my boot one handed again. Also fitted a few bits under the bonnet but it really needs a detail under there to appreciate it.
  4. Good luck, is that on a z? Some of my original build posts show rewiring the doors etc. To add to the list of parts for fitting I have ordered some nismo dials/clocks (I am a sucker for those 5 letters) and bought some opentop boot springs as opening the boot is currently a PITA
  5. Just bought both to fit when weather improves, but from what I read up I would go sway bars first if you can only do one
  6. I don't see why you wouldn't least pay the £50ish quid to put it through a mot as said above at least it shows potential buyers what needs doing, however I would also be concerned by white smoke on a turbo, if its the turbo they are replaceable but just another thing to do but then it could be a head gasket or any manner of things could easily end up being a money pit
  7. So for reference this is mine about 30 secs after removing the key and locking (sleep mode) its 2mA. If you are getting 140 then something is on somewhere but you really need to wait for the car to do its thing you should see it dropping, not sure if you done this?
  8. They look like 6 pin to 8 pin adaptors they save you rebuilding the connector if you had a DE with 6 pin and want to fit HR lights which usually have 8 pin I think the 2 extra pins were for auto levellers as some models didn't have them
  9. Ahh my mistake I have seen bubbling like that from heat on rattle can painted parts, although there are breathing vents I am pretty sure you shouldn't be able to see inside of them are they missing the rear covers? Personally I wouldn't want them getting water on the inside. Had it on an old set and it eventually destroyed the ballast and made the inside of the lens dirty.
  10. The nismo clocks are they still available couldn't see them in the sold list, are they genuine?
  11. If you want it fixed to its a headlight apart job. Looks like it was poorly done, also if water is getting in it means it wasn't resealed properly and its likely your ballast will end up with water in it destroying it, I would personally look to take it apart paint it correctly and ensure it is sealed fully
  12. So only small progress so far this week due to the cold wet weather, but getting closer to finishing rejigging the amps etc. Still a few finishing touches, cleaning and alignments to do but so close now to what I had in mind.
  13. Was going to say I would have a used set in a few weeks as taking my std JDM ones off for coilovers, good luck with the teins
  14. Do you have a voltmeter? Could test for a system drain. Set to amps remove negative battery cable and then put meter leads between battery cable and battery post, you want a reading of 50 milliamps or less any more and I would say you have a parasitic drain.
  15. Not a 370z but had the Electronic steering lock fail on my merc, luckily it was on my drive, mercedes wanted 1k for parts alone I think it was let alone getting it recovered to a garage. In the end I managed to remove the steering column, remove the ESL and fit an ESL emulator for about £100, highly frustrating when it occurs as the car is next to useless when it fails, the merc couldn't even get out of park. So if you can prevent this by removing a fuse I would highly recommend doing it as a priority
  16. I have seen people moan about a lack of diesel down this way (essex) but can't see I have experienced it when filling up the "tractor"
  17. Since coming back to the forum I notice its a lot quieter for new posts these days. Therefore love it or hate it I am going to try and post a bit more to give the regular visitors more to read, hopefully. However i havent got much to update currently, So whilst not a lot visible has happened to her recently, I have been refreshing the boot build since the last post and the rear half of the car has been sound proofed, rewired and amps moved from a rack behind the drivers seat Cubby to under a false floor in the boot with windows for viewing. Still some tidying, cable routing, lighting and finishing touches to go but nearing completion and fingers crossed can be finished over a few afternoons and evenings next week. So what's next well as I have mentioned previously I have been stock pilling parts for a big refresh, so over the next few months I hope to share the journey with you. The current plan, well as you can see I have had my Z a long time and I love it, not sure I will ever sell her, but things are different this time, the end goal FI, but I'm not rushing there. So whilst I have already updated the brakes this year from JDM to Brembo, my focus is now on handling, and improving that (+A Few visual, minor other changes and repairs ) building the base to add more power to later. So what's waiting to be fitted Handling MeisterR ZetaCRD coilovers White line front and rear ARB and drop links Ultra racing W brace Ultra racing front lower Brace Ultra Racing mid lower brace Bodywork Tarmac sportz rear side louvres Firefly std rear 1/4 replacements Exhaust Miltek Y Back (Miltek Y already fitted) Other Tarmac Sportz undertray Nismo oil cap Nismo rad cap Nismo fuel filler cap Engine bolt/washer kit Cf battery/brake covers Nismo Gear shift Nismo floor mats Auto-fold module Seat heaters and OEM switches I think that is all for now. Really excited to see how the Meisters and ARBs transform the car.

  19. In my opinion depends, if you are running just off the head unit, not really. But if you are powering your speakers off an amp then it's a must
  20. Great news, well done, and thanks for your work getting it back up.
  21. So recently set about at modernising certain aspects of the car but still trying to keep it looking age appropriate at first glance, so have stripped out the boot build to dynamat and redesign certain aspects. I have removed the old pioneer fold out screen for another head unit from early 2000s I had from one of my other cars, then I got one of the slim line android headunits and fitted into the sat nav cupboard I had laying around waiting for this mod years ago. Lots more to do on the interior and underside of the car house is full of bits to fit
