  1. I think this thread should be sticked so people dont keep asking if they can run 95 ron without any problems!
  2. If that bonnet didnt have those yellow stripes I would have it off ya, where abouts are you located?
  3. I like it, has a retro feel to me. But yeah the price is abit 'spankyou'.
  4. Haha as will I, I drove to work today just to burn off some more juice ready for the fill.
  5. Do you have an idea of when you will start supplying these on a more permanent basis? Providing that the trial goes ok.
  6. Google "carlimits" if you're looking for somewhere to drift. I am going to go to one of there sessions soon
  7. I am unfortunate to be on my second Zed, my first I lost while going round a country bend and there was mud on the road. I wrote the car off and I was doing less than 30mph. The car hit a tree sideways, the car hit the tree right on the pillar. I had been driving for 6 years and this was my first proper performance car, I had driven the car throughout the snow last year so I thought I had got this RWD business sussed. Before the accident I had always felt I am a good driver and it would never happen to me, my mistake was partly being complacent and thinking that you only had to watch the road conditions when going fast. I felt @*!# for ages, I used to love driving after the accident it took me quite a while before I enojyed driving again. I have learned alot from the experience. I saw how much damage can be done at relatively low speeds, I have alot more respect for the car. This experience coupled with the fact a friend of mine has got brain damage from a road accident he had recently I take the experience as a lesson. Now I drive with a lot more caution regardless if I am going down the shops or going for a blat down a country road.
  8. Sorry it is a repost, I posted this one a while back. I will let you off tho as its cracking read! I never released how much development went into the Zed.
  9. That man is in serious need of a glowstick!
  10. I have had both a UK GT and a UK non GT, in all honestly I prefered the non UK GT. To me the uprated bose setup sounded abit tinny as the sub didnt get going until higher volumes, might just be me. I found the normal system to be better balanced. Also with the uprated bose you get a sub kicking you in the back, some people like it some dont. Obviouly non GT's are harder to sell at a later date so bear that in mind, I think the general rule of thumb I have seen is that non GT's are 1k less.
  11. Not my cup of tea but I think its a smidge high price wise considering the age + millage? What do others think? Also I remember rightly, thats a 52 plate, doesnt that have the gearbox which didnt have the revisions and is more likely to have problems? Something to check.
  12. As others have said run like hell! By the sound of it they have been ecomical with the truth BEFORE you put your money down, the fact they have phoned you up telling you about the engine swap changes the deal you agreed. Walk away from the deal on the basis the playing field has changed. Bear in mind should you have to sell the car in the future, selling a Cat D is hard enough let alone with a engine swap as well . Its a buyers market out there keep looking and you will find your dream car EDIT: just re read your post and I see you may not have put your money down...
  13. What a hero! I struggle to put up shevles
  14. There was a 350z on pistonhead with a APS kit for 12k last year, I was tempted to get it myself but no one would insure me. Also not being funny, if you ran that car to its '900' bhp potential how the hell would you be able to get that power down?
  15. I have done this and I only for about 15 mins behind the wheel. If like me your have to drive 3 hours each way to Santa Pod, its not worth it. Just my 2p.
  16. vids might be on youtube as well?
  17. What size spacers can I use? How much will a turbo install cost?
  18. Why do you say it will not possible to visit the bank? Is yours shut on Saturdays? When I have gone to see cars privately over the weekend I always went up Saturday morning as I knew my bank would be open. I would also ring the bank a few days before to explain the situation and they made sure they had the cash there if I chose to buy the car. If I brought the car we would just go to the bank, we would walk in, sign all the paperwork hand over the cash. End of the day the seller will be happy as hes got the cash and chances are his bank might be open so he can get chuck the money into his/her account. Bit of faff I know but like you I didnt want to walk around with a load of cool hard cash in my pocket somewhere I didnt know!
  19. Just seen the National Lottery site is now down for maintenance.....
  20. You work in IT and you dont know that a computer is unable to generate a truely random number? Yes I know that, next time I will put quotes around random number generator so you know, I know. I do love the way people just post to pick at others posts on here... I was more pointing out a 'random number generator' for its given scenario needs to be suitable for its intented use. The fact someone can get nearly the same numbers bar one number twice in a row is not suitable. At my last job we were setting up some Ubuntu HTTP servers and we where one of the first few companies to report odd behavour when generating self signed SSL certs. All the machines had exactly the same hardware (I believe some hardware details where used when generating the random seed), we then lead to this discovery - http://www.entrust.net/knowledge-base/t ... fm?tn=7468. My point is if everyone just sat there and said "ah its a fluke", that vulnerability would never of been found and we would have had an ecommerce site running with that weakness. As its been mentioned it in fairness was more likely a fluke, but given how much upset it would cause if more people started reporting this problem, I would have thought Camelot (or whoever they outsourced the site to) should investigate how they are generating these 'random numbers'.
  21. "The vehicle will fail the test if any airbag fitted as original equipment is obviously missing or defective. So if you have a non standard steering wheel it will need to have an airbag? "A seatbelt pre-tensioner fitted as original equipment but missing or that has obviously deployed will be a reason for failure. Seatbelt load limiters that are missing where fitted as standard or folding webbing type limiters that have obviously deployed are also reasons for failure." If you have aftermarket seats with harnesses, I dont believe they have tensioners?
  22. Not getting into the probability side of things, I work in IT and we use random number generators when we generate SSL certificates for web servers. If we ever found out something that is meant to be random, isnt, we would investigate. Given the facts raised by OP I am amazed that they havent investigated, image if there was a bug somewhere in thier software and the numbers where not being generated randomly all the tickets that have been sold over the years.
  23. +1 Love the ending of the first one
  24. Do you get chased by planes?!
