  1. Very rare, dealers weren't allowed to put the facelifts on the road until April 1st 2006 so this could be one of the cars that Nissan brought over for the press to test. Around half a dozen of them I believe. Pete
  2. So that's where our phone boxes go Pete
  3. Lets hope we don't see this again Pete
  4. I'm not sure how this is going to work out. There is about 200m of copper cable on poles between our house and the point where the cable goes underground. There is some sort of underground junction there and the cable runs underground for another 400m or so before it reaches the new infinity cabinet. The cables were rerouted underground a few years ago so they may be fibre or they may not. The 200m cable that runs from our house was replaced 7 or so years ago so should be of decent quality (I hope). So, a minimum of 200m and a maximum of 600m of copper cable from the infinity cabinet. This will obviously involve a speed "hit" on my line but what this will be is anyone's guess. Right now I'm with Talk Talk who transferred my account that I had with AOL, they apparently are the same company. I do not have a current contract so I'm open to switching and I'm currently thinking of going BT as they throw in BT Sport. One of the problems I have is that because BT own the lines you cannot get faults sorted as you have to inform your provider who then contact BT, slows things down especially living out in the wilds. Anyway, I'm open to suggestions once I'm actually on fibre Pete
  5. I don't know of any others. There are a few of the similar Interlagos Fire models about though. I would suspect this is a respray or a one off as Brickyard Red was a U.S colour only. Pete
  6. Slow progress.....it's been 6 months now at the Build stage, BT site said I would be connected in 5 months back them. However, today the progress icon has now reached the next stage, known as "Connect", which says I should be connected in like 4 months, so it's taken 6 months to advance 1 month...not good. I've not seen a BT engineer or van around here in months so what the connect stage actually means is anyone's guess Pete
  7. Yeah 20" just let me know a colour Olly Silver for me, cheers. Pete
  8. 20", yes or no? If yes I'll take a set of 20". Pete

  10. Yes, I wouldn't have a problem buying a one owner Zed with over 100k on the clock, especially from a forum member. Pete
  11. It's an Irish import, GT4 wheels give it away. I should add that it would not have been used before it was imported. Spec is the same as U.K cars providing that the speedo has been replaced. Pete
  12. Misty had a few more kittens......like eight of them . All are doing well Pete
  13. Full grown rabbits, pigeons that youd think twice about challenging to a fight and a pheasant once, fortunately he couldnt get that through the catflap, it was about as big as he is One of ours had a fully grown rabbit a few weeks ago and that's a first for our house. She's also the smallest cat we have and is the same one that caught the stoats. About 10 years ago I came home and found a fully grown male pheasant in the kitchen (dead) so maybe you need a bigger catflap . I would imagine the pheasant was already dead or sick for a cat to get it. When I was in my teens, one of my mums cats brought in 3 baby rabbits at the same time, he was kinda pushing them along. As it happened 2 of them were still alive so I released them over the fields. Pete
  14. Our cat Dave knocks off about 15-20 a year I reckon, but never eats them - apparently they taste quite bitter (christ knows who found that one out) What I dont know is how he catches them, hes pretty @*!# at being a cat (cant jump more than about 3 feet in the air, scared of heights, has been known to fall over while walking across lounge), surely he doesnt just sit there and wait all day? Some cats aren't interested, most in fact, but one of our cats gets 3 or 4 a year, as you say, they don't eat them and they don't even bring them home. For cats its just an instinct to catch them, ours catch dozens of shrews but apparently they only ever eat the first one they catch. Going back to moles, the closest molehills are about 50 yards away in an open field so I often see them just sitting by a molehill, I guess they can detect movement underground. Pete
  15. I was one of those who had a quick run in Will's 370. First thing you notice is the vastly improved interior, this is what the 350Z is sadly lacking, yeah the facelifts are better but they're still miles behind the 370Z. Didn't get to fully test the 370Z out but driving position is a tad better and power feels not that dissimilar to the 350Z HR. Pete
  16. Some Cats are really good at catching Moles, I find several dead ones every year in our garden. Although I've never witnessed any of our cats catching one I've seen them sitting next to molehills for hours on end. Just recently I've also found a couple of dead Stoats, not many cats will tackle them but little Rosie actually brought one home for her kittens to feast on Pete
  17. Depends on the camera type. Some level crossings have a webcam style camera which can be viewed by the Railway Police while others just act like a traffic light camera. There aren't many level crossings around here, but the ones I know of have double yellow lines. Pete
  18. Well, for a start I don't have gas. However, I do have oil which costs around £50 per month. Secondly, I have 4 high powered PC's running 24/7 365 plus a few laptops which cost around £10-15 a month for the PC's, maybe a fiver for each laptop. On the plus side my water rates are very low as I don't have to pay any sewerage charges. No idea when we'll get a Smart Meter, isolated houses like mine tend to be at the back of the queue. Pete
  19. wow might have to take a look at these , our DD is £121 pm if the savings compares thats significant £121 PM! Are you powering a mansion! Mine's £155 a month Pete
  20. Depends on the state and age of your battery I guess. For example just checking the tyre pressures on Caroline's Zed and adding 4-6 psi using a digital Michelin pump running off the cigarette lighter was enough to finish off her battery....I know, I know, I should have started the car first but didn't Pete
  21. Both of our laptops upgraded to 10 just fine, only one annoying issue, if you lose internet connection (which I do about 10-15 times a week ) then you have to manually reconnect. There is a workaround for this, just haven't got round to it. Pete
  22. I'm coming up to 10 years ownership and while I'm not exactly bored with it, it certainly doesn't send a shiver down my spine like it used to. I've toyed with selling it on but just can't bring myself to do it. Pete
