  1. Do you want an independent dealer or a Z dealer, I have used both and had no isssues with either I had a scorpion fitted by a local exhaust dealer and servicing through Crystals at Lincoln, both were good with no problems. Let me know your actual job is and I will get back to you. Cheers

  3. Cheers mate, for all your hard work, and I will carry your pen with pride.
  4. The guys have already said it all, I was in the same position last year. Some are very easy, some are a pain in the bottom, depending on how many of the 10mm screw are seized etc. I found it much easier for access to take the front wheels off otherwise any one with hands bigger than a 10 year old usually ends up with ragged bit of blooded meat hanging of them. A couple of hours on your own plus a bit extra looking for the place that a few bolts and studs that you have found left over.
  5. This is the correct way, they do this method at the stealers.

  7. Glad to hear you had a good day with RS, its great when you take your car home and you realise that what everyone says is right. You have to drive it to find it. Happy days.
  8. Not surprised that this has happened, I have only been a member for a year and I have seen many wanabees who will promise the earth but are full of B***s**t. This has happened to me on two occasions in my first year as a member. Shame really because the majority on the site are as honest as the day Never ever forget "Caveat emptor".
  9. I'm in the same boat with Rob2005, I'm awaiting a delivery of Berks HFC's from the group buy on here. I have a scorpion exhaust and I would like to replace the original Y pipe at the same time as the HFC's. My query would be, will these Y pipes make an outrageous noise over and above that I get from the scorpion exhaust. Sorry if I appear to be hijacking the site, I am not, just the same issues, Cheers.
  10. Hi your paint code should be on an aluminium plate, appx size 3"X2" in the engine bay, drivers side, as per photo I've attached. It should be around the bottom right of the plate.
  11. I fitted an after market gear knob last week and had the same issue, however mine was the steel collet ring that you have in your photo. In my case my new knob wasn't bottoming on to the ring and hence it vibrated like a bell, take it off and see if that does it, don't forget its not unusual to fit this ring the wrong way round.
  12. If you have no proof that they have been changed at 42k then change them. The recommended time varies from one site to another. A P3 service should have shown up any issues of wear, I would check the paperwork for this. ZMANALEX is selling the two belts at around £29ish, its any easy enough DIY job and there is a good guide attached that shows the whole process. viewtopic.php?f=35&t=16644&start=0
  13. But don't watch the "Bucket List" Hey go for it, had the chance to go to Canada as a young man, never did it, regretted it for ever.
  14. Just thought I'd give a thumbs up to Crystals dealership at Lincoln, I know lincoln baggie has had good things to say about them and I couldnt agree more. I had a P3 service, supplying my own oils etc, the price came in at £204, however what was good was that I was able to chat to the mechanic before the service and clearly he was on the ball. I was first in at 08.30am and needed the car before 1pm they called me at 11.30 all work done. Further to this I told them before hand that my car was highly detailed and I did not want to find any scratches caused by the service. The lad came out and went over the car with me and was quite happy to do so. Well there you go no problems at all with them and quite happy for you to bring your own oils etc.
  15. Thanks for that I've seen the adverts, just needed that little bit of advice and as before yours is always specific and to the subject, Cheers for that
  16. Like many people on here I have a JWT filter (pop charger) and it needs re-oiling, try as much as I can I cannot find any JWT filter oil any where on the internet except from the states. I can get a K&N oil kit in the UK, I assume you can use this? What do use on yours? Thanks in anticipation.
  17. Have a word with this guy he managed to keep the lettering by masking them. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=41228&hilit=engine+cover
  18. Feel like Grandad here so far, aged 59, fitted last year after I got the car, love the exaust and I have just booked in for the second round of Berks HFC's to compliment the scorpion. Best value exhaust out there. Mid life crisis what mid life crisis? I spit in its eye.

  21. Coming probably from an earlier era with cars, i.e. late sixties up to now, this was the advice given to car owners by most car organisations. The concept being that it made starting easier with the pedal pressed down. Nissan took it a step further by tying it into a start procedure for safety as well.
