  2. Big Megs fan myself, try the Ultimate quik wax as a top up and detailer, I made a few comments on this on the Megs site its very very good. Brings out the best wet look on my azure compared to their other products which in themselves are good.
  3. Hi Steve Looking forward to seeing the finished product, looking good undercoat wise, so far.
  4. Is this any good to you, Screwfix £3.32? http://www.screwfix.com/search.do;jsess ... +extractor
  5. I changed brake pads to Ferodo a few weeks ago also and heard that the reas can move around (don't know if this makes a sound).
  6. Interested to hear your evaluation have you managed to fit them yet?
  7. Should be a plug in and play, but to be safe I went to a local meet and borrowed one from a member for a few mins just to be sure before I bought one.
  8. I just did the reset as per the u-tube video on here and it works, I wasn't holding out that this would happen being Mr Cynical and I thought here we go its a trip to the dealer. Absolutely great something that does what it says.
  9. Dead simple to replace, take out the round plastic cover in the recess that you pull to shut the door, remove the screw, gently prise off the whole unit and unclip the electrics on the inside, all done, the hardest bit is to get the replacement. You can re spray this part but you need undercoat and paint thats suitable for plastic. I bought a good quality carbon fibre kit that includes the arm cover from chilli-red last week for a £125 looks very good, but I think she has sold out now. Link below viewtopic.php?f=118&t=48166&hilit=chilli+red
  10. There certainly are the "beez kneez" up here and of course the only garage north of Watford that can do a proper 350z uprev. The lad from Edinburgh, who came down in the morning and went back home at tea time was being allowed to do some work on his engine they were rebuilding using their garage space. Very friendly lot indeed.
  11. Finally got round to getting my cats and stillen y pipe fitted. First of all many thanks to Tarmac for his fortitude when it got rough getting them from the states, well done and I am sure like others we do appreciate what you do for us . So I took the ride over to RS at Leeds and had the berks and stillen fitted by "specky", boy do these guys kow what they are doing, even met a lad who came down from Scotland because like me he believes these are probably the best car engineers in the north (a bit like Carling). During the fit I was able to go under the ramps and helped with bits and bobs and also he answered all my inane queries about who what and where was everything. The job was done within 45mins, yes you were right Tarmac this combination went on like a dream, straightening up the exhaust first time into it correct position, didn't even have to cut off any bolts or nuts. Paul the owner of RS took over next and undertook the remap using up-rev, as I had the licence from them it took under an hour and the cost was vastly below the original price, just the charge for dyno time per hour. I never expected any huge power increase and this was more about tailoring the new exhaust with the rest on the engine to get its best. However it took my 04 350z from 292 (previous remap) up to 300BHP and I was more than happy about this. On trial around the estate the sound does change from a stock scorpion to a pitch slightly higher and a unusual rasp sound that fits perfectly well with the car. My boy who has a BMW series 5 M3 had a run around with mine and came back saying how much better the torque was and given the choice he would go for the Z, there you go. A big thumbs up for Paul and Specky at RS leeds lots of free advice and good day spent with them. Costs were £100 uprev and £50 for the exhaust well worth the money. For those who want to know whats fitted to my car, and I know some out there are interested, a quite normal one, JWT popcharger, plenum spacer 5/16th, Scorpion box and middle pipe, Stillen Y pipe and Berks Hi-Flo cats, all combined with the Up-Rev re-map. So just to finish, well worth the mods and yep driving around the last few day with a stupid grin probably looks out of place on a 59 year old Pictures and graphs below. Cheers. Before After Graphs
  12. Thats a bodged paint job with a split unpeeling like that.
  13. I,ll stick chrome on for a day or two for comparison and see what happens.
  14. Hi Chris this morning was the time you are on about, about 10am, last night Tarmac sent me a PM at 10.45 and I could not get on to answer it, gave up after half an hour. I am a regular user on the internet both at work and domestic and I never have any lockouts on any thing else, I have noted the previous tips and I will have a go with them. Cheers Jeff
  15. Nope afraid not, give up after trying to get on to PM Tarmac last night about six attempts, appx over a half an hour, and it wouldnt have it, even this morning it locked out on me a few minutes ago, then the next attempt went staright on. Are we sure its a microsoft problem because I never have these issues on any other forums the same size as ours?
  16. A very good day out, enjoyed the company, good photos and video and what about that engine at redline 1001.5 bhp.

  20. M1 Jct 24 service station should be on your way, I think? I have PM'd Chris and it looks like 8am is being accepted as the meeting time, its only a few minutes from the track. I assume Chris will give us the lowdown in the next day or so about procedures. See you there.
  21. Welcome Admiral insurance and other companies record UK models as "fairlady" quite a common mistake thats what they say on my insurance, but it makes no difference mines a UK model without a doubt. Purely from the photo yours looks UK to me.
