  5. Sounds like my wife coming out of tescos car park.
  6. Your going to laugh at this, but check the front wiper arms, not the blades. They are aluminium and have a tendency to rust, yes aluminium does rust but its called oxydisation. They are very difficult to obtain through dealers who will charge huge amounts if you can get them and I couldn't, so you will have to clean them up yourself. Not a problem to do, but by God they look rough as a badgers arse without a respray.Seems to be a inherit issue with Z's, Jeff
  7. Feckin hell you frightened the shite out of me Neil, what am I going to put on me clootie dumpling now? jeff

  13. Would you pay this price £2,100 http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/swis ... a-wax.aspx
  14. Thanks Chris "freudian slip". Fully agree with comments about buying the best but bloody hell pro-detailers pass the cost on to you. Her indoors would say thats our weekly shop and then follow it up with paying twice as much for a new dress.
  15. Does anyone actually buy this product. https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/zymol-co ... d_995.html

    how to tune?

Hi Your question is can you get 300bhp on your 276, the answer is yes. Plenum spacer, high flow cats, stillen y pipe and scorpion box remap. Leave the remap to the end but be aware that your cats will mean the engine runs lean so dont hang around for the remap. I am on 302bhp after the remap at RS tuning up at Leeds for the boys in the north. Having said all this I believe if you like to drive fast with power then get your brakes and suspension beefed up before any of this. Cheers let us know how you get on.
  17. I know what you mean, but I've maxed out on my slush fund and her indoors may start to notice, like my mate "steve" somewhere in yorkshire(close to a jail) there's only so long you can tell them that all the mods are £50. Jeff
  18. Yet again I just couldn't wait to fit these, I really must resist in future and stick to my game plan. A follow up for Tarmac, fitted a new set of FK452's while I was at it. The dish version on the rears were on his advice and it works well, I think their the "dogs doodas". Tyres are 245-45-18 front, standard offset. 255-45-18 rear with 25 off set that neeeearly fills out the wheel. Thanks Chris. Cheers Jeff
  19. Pm sent on this. standard plastic engine cover , simple plastic part which goes onto of the engine £ 20
  20. Will not really improve, well known problem, check its adjusted to the relevant "clicks" on the hand brake then ignore that and place it in either forward gear if facing uphill and reverse if facing downhill, turning the front wheel into the kerb, then don't worry about it. My mechanic will tell you they have never repaced the handbrake drum discs on a 350z through wear. Jeff
  21. Hi Freebird I know what you mean, the Z fast becomes a money magnet. The anti roll bars do help a lot, coilovers lowering assists more but this small mod will go a long way. Happy Motoring Jeff
  22. Quick catch up on these roll bars. Took these down to my local mechanics for fitting, far too old to roll around the floor in cold weather for me. However any one with a reasonable mechanical understanding should be more than capable in fitting these. A few tips though, Eibach state an hour for each bar but thats really only able if you have access to a ramp to work under with all four wheels removed. Two people are required due to the handling required to take off and feed through these bars from the outside. Check your droplinks before undertaking any work, these like most items underneath are usuall rusted on and require cutting off. I had to buy a full set. Times for the novice would be more like 2hr a set. They were set as below, Front, Full Forward - Firmest Setting, Dry Road. Rear, Mid Setting - Street Performance, Dry Road You would need to set these to the opposite settings for wet, slick or track driving Not been able to go the track (Cadwell Park) yet but just with the drive home immediately noticed how much firmer it was. Later on I was able to go for a trip around the Lincolnshire Wolds (the only hilly, curvy area we have). What a difference, wow, using safe driving conditions, no officer it only looked as though I was speeding The cars stuck like the proverbial to a blanket. Eibach state this is what you should achieve with these bars and it did, Reduction of body roll when driving in curves and during fast changes of direction Unimpaired spring comfort at bilateral spring deflection Decreasing the load difference between the wheels inside and outside the curve Impacting the under- or over-steering tendency positively (auto-steering behaviour) So Steve it achieved what I wanted and was it worth it, yes. A few thanks, specially to CS for supplying the bars great service and to my lads who fitted them, a few more comments for them below if your interested. I use a local garage called Newton and Bailey Japanese Specialists at Lincoln, the two guys are fully qualified nissan engineers who have set up business on their own. I have had nearly all my work done by them even though I think that the Lincoln Dealers are very good and would not knock them. The only problem with the dealer is their prices, my lads price for labour is £45 plus vat, the dealers are double that. They undertake all work and are a pleasure to do business with, no issues taking your own parts and understand fully sports mods etc, one of them has a nice EVO he uses. Well worth a try if they are local enough for you. Cheers Everbody Jeff
