  1. I do the occasional track day and I always remember what I was told 40 years ago, "if you want to drive fast, first set your car up to brake fast" i.e suspension and brakes then look at getting fast. If you see what I mean.
  2. Steve wish I could help you had the same problem a couple of times had to revert back to screws.
  3. Hi I'm a Scot and well use to driving conditions up there, you haven't got a cat in hells chance, when your on the west coast look at the distance then double the time to do it in. So in this case double the days as a minimum and you'll still be rushing around to do it. Stick just to the west coast for the scenery then do the east later.
  4. There's no doubt about it, the Z does scrub well.
  5. Ok seeing that Edinburgh getting the pooh, the best weekend away In recent years is Barcelona the dogs doolies, what a great weekend.
  6. Edinburgh, try the run over carter bar on the A68 and a walk around Princess St for some heavy shopping.
  7. That second photo looks perfectly normal to me now.
  8. Hi mate what service is it P1 P2 or P3 and where are you live makes the difference. If you live near Lincoln I can give you some advice no good to you if you live in Aberdeen though?

    Windscreen

I took mine to Autoglass it didn't have large chips or cracks but general road rash. The Autoglass windscreen guy makes the decision if he thinks its a replacement job, which he did of course Replaced the window, paid the excess, no involvement with admiral, job done.
  11. Does look a bit out but you also have the camber of the road to bring into it, zmanalex is spot on (what else) have the camber checked. Still have a sneaky feeling from the photos its because of the photo angle, road camber etc. I presume you've put it on a flat surface and its still the same?

    Window fix

Have a recheck works fine for me.
  13. Ive had yellow stuff on mine for nearly a year used on track and road the brake dust will not get better with use, it goes with this type of pad. If you want less dust "red stuff" is the pad to use.
  14. Youll be lucky, check out the new price and the big problem with anything over 3 or 4 years is oxydisation. I agree whip them of and tidy them up.
  15. Dont get me going again, I was ranting a couple of weeks ago about this. If you want to see proper parking spaces where every car can open its doors without a "ding" you have to go to the States. A few of my American friends always complain how mean and petty our car parking designers are and this usually followed up by a comment about breakfast orange juice being served in "eye glass sizes" in hotels and B+B's. There is no escape from the half wits who will always park next to you so that only a person with anorexia can squeeze into the drivers seat. The only solution is to pay a minder to look after it when its in public parking or a second car preferably an old beaten up land rover that you dont care about. Have a quick read up from Plato 2000 years ago who reported that all democracies will destroy them selves when the chariot drivers were allowed to drive without taking a test I think this was the start of the breakdown in bad motoring. Well thats how I read it, any way must close Jeremy Kyle been on for half an hour must get my dose of sanity. Happy driving all.
  16. A late thankyou, started to miss my daily fix for a short while there.
  17. Oulton park at the 102 -105 db level but do get your car remapped sooner rather than later HFC's, run lean and do need a remap. Also its not uncommon for you o2 sensors to throw an engine light.
