  1. Despite the instructions: I can only just get one golf bag in the back and that's with the driver (?) and and 3 wood removed. The 'two' bags must be carry bags.
  2. Sees like your battery has expired Buddy; if the car restarted after a run the alternator is probably charging OK and the battery isn't retaining the charge. You can get a reasonable quality replacement for £60-£70. Ask a battery supplier to give the suspect battery a load test before you buy.
  3. Try an apprpriately sized 'metrinch' socket or spanner. It will allow you to apply much more torque than a standard tool as they apply pressure to the flat of the fastener head rather than the point of the hex-head. They are also a 'slacker' fit for a given size and that will help with rounded and/or rusted fastener heads.
  4. It'll be interesting to hear how you get on Gort.
  5. A carefully targeted squirt of WD40 works wonders. (Assuming that you haven't already tried it). Good Luck,
  6. Useful list - Thanks. Regarding a browser; I find Opera Mini very stable and fast.
  7. Thank you Sir. What fantastic resource this forum offers.
  8. Can anyone help please? My local dealer have included minor caliper damage as part of a P2 service. Obviously they are being invited to repair/replace but I recall some recommendation of a Humbrol enamel for this job. Can't find it via 'Search' (only a 2008 thread on a custom mix touch up), do any of you guys recall the Humbrol colour recommended?
  9. Its a bit over your preferred engine capacity; but have thought of a Land-Rover? Very easy to work on, an excellent way to learn skills and basic technologies, parts are readily available and unbelievably cheap. Plus, make a decent job of your work/mods and you are bound to make a profit as Land-Rovers are bought/sold on condition not age. Good luck.
  10. I have for sale one part-worn Potenza 245/45/18. I had a P2 service 2 weeks ago and the service report declares this tyre as Inner 5mm/’Midd’ 4mm/Outer 4mm. The tyre’s axle companion suffered an unrepairable puncture last week and I bought a pair as replacements. The tyre for sale has no damage or repairs. Price is £30 plus shipping to UK Mainland by Hermes at £12 (Hermes declared ‘remote' areas excepted) Buyer can collect from Malvern district Worcestershire or I will deliver to J7 on M5. Will ship on receipt on cleared funds. I have paypal account.
  11. No, you are not the only one Wesmin - I agree with you. However, some of the less agressive larger rear spoilers can look nice.
  12. I think there are errors in my Zed documentation. The 'service' schedules seem to suggest more than change oil/filter.
  13. I was with AA few a few years and had the misfortune of needing their assistance - unfortunately I found them a total waste of space on each occasion. Converted to Britannia Rescue, they have bailed out my (notoriously) unreliable Land-Rover on many occasions. Great service, quick and get top ratings on many reviews. Recommend you change to them.
  14. What??? I insure my Zed, a Discovery and a Golf with LV= for a little over £500 pa net. (Zed is £274 of that, excess £150, 8000miles pa). I live in rural Worcestershire, clean license. 75%NCB protected.
  15. You shouldn't really need to spend anymore than £10 on the high street - many used 'phone dealers will do it. Also search on the internet for unlocking codes, there are plenty of sites around offering free codes (Nokia is particularly well served). Good luck
  16. your paint code will be on the VIN plate; then contact Paints4U - they gave me an excellent match. Good luck
  17. Paints4u offer an aersol kit ( http://www.paints4u.com/ProductDetails. ... uctID=5423). I found thier paint match very good on GM. good luck.
  18. the orange stripey thingy in the headlamp (whatever that is). I'll have a Butty Bach.
  19. I used paints4u on my GM and was delighted with the match. Excellent service.
  20. I'm in England but with you goch. Good game in Dublin though. Here's hoping the french have an off day.
  21. To be on the safe side; Iwould suggest a 10amp fuse. (10amps x 240volts = 2,400 watts) That will give a surge margin over your 1800 watt machine.
  22. I frequently fill my Discovery/spare diesel jerry cans at tesco (particularly when the 5p off offer is on). The disco has a 95Ltr tank and the pump shuts off at 100Ltrs. Tesco regularly take £130+ from me for a single 'fill'.
