When you replace it put some Tiger Seal Black mastic in the groove before you push it on, then leave it for a couple of hours to harden before driving.
I had the theme I wanted and Mark just offered a couple of alternative suggestions along the way. There's always room for improvement. I couldn't believe Mark's wife actually gets involved in the workings too. Fair play to her. :)
It's got to be flatted back buddy using wet o dry paper to remove the loose and blend with the existing paint, with no edge so to speak of, that can be felt with your finger . Prime and block the area in readiness for paint.
