My dad used to have a BMW mini with a tiptronic gearbox. He took it into BMW and they said five grand to replace and fit. His mate was like that's a joke. So he got involved as he's in the car industry. BMW dealership dropped to three grand. Then after some more arguing about two grand. Dad's mate still thought it was too high for a three year old car. We went to BMW head office. Turns out they were gonna supply the gearbox to the dealership for free so all we should have had to pay was 800 for labour. Dealership apologised and charged us 400 for labour.

If you come visit me and my home boys ( can't believe I used that ) we can show you a stock HR, a slightly modded HR ( mine) and a supercharged HR. Oh and a lovely selection of de engined zeds. Which if you have an itch to go turbo, can be done for less than on a HR plus lower car buying cost.

Yes not super hard. Maybe an hour at a garage? HFC s for me. That's too much hassle and not good if you get caught.

I could as I'm really good at it, however I use an app to work out my car fuel figures. It tracks every fill up.
