  1. My advice is to get the belts from zmanalex then you know youve got good belts and a good price and change them yourself as its such a simple job and takes under an hour allowing time to jack up and remove underguards etc..in any case you'll have to check tighten/adjust them after a 100 or so miles so might as well save yourself....
  2. It sooo easy to do it yourself.........and satisfying to. why not try it!!
  3. Its £140/L normal unleaded at the moment here in Cambridge so £100 is a normal fill up in the 370
  4. This maybe worth putting in the guide section?
  5. Its in the handbook anyways..surly no ones lost the handbook already
  6. For the sake of a £1 I would just put in a new battery in the fob as that is exactly how mine started.... then after a month or so it would ask the key to be put in the holder thingy under the dash from time to time..then it became the norm. New battery and alls good and back to normal
  7. mine did this, l changed the fob battery (30seconds if you are prepared) and alls good and back to normal. The battery cost me 86pence!
  8. Mine was £15.2K with 13000milesand in mint condition
  9. Too late.......its already spent but thats good to know for anyone else...how long has your fuse been out? I just wonder if it takes some cycles to throw the code..have you plugged in the code reader to check BTW? or just seeing if the warning lanp shows? I am only going from what I have been reading. £50 Mmm half a tank of petrol not sooo bad eh
  10. Well I can only go from reading all the posts on the US 370z site and they say it does and will! ( I spent hour reading them all !! in my break) but sniping the brown wire is good and doen't cause any fault code....I ordered the cable this afternoon and already I have a tracking number so I should get it quite soon, maybe by the WE.
  11. So spending a bit more time on this I have just ordered the adapter lead that deactivates the steering lock (providing its working okay still) in the unlocked position, should you want to have the lock working again just unplug the adapter lead and its back to standard. The other option is to cut the brown wire on the lock plug (pin 1 I think) but I prefer not to mess with the standard wiring (whilst the cars under warranty). My only concern is that if it fails when you are away from home you are rather Bu**ered. This way apparantly no codes get thrown you just dont get the lock to work........not that that would stop anybody taking the car in this day and age...those days are long gone! £50 shipped from the US...when it arrives I'll let you all know how I get on. Of course the cheap option is to just snip that brown wire at the plug end ...by your feet! I dont want to be stranded this winter away from home having just bought a nearly new car....
  12. Looking into this a bit more I think if you take out the fuse you'll have problems with the ECU throwing a fault code. I wonder if Nissan has any suggestions!! or even a recall as it potentially renders the car inactive.
  13. Does anyone know where the fuse is? I was rather hoping this issue was restricted to the more extreme climate of the US but if we are seeing it here then I am concerned especially as I have 6 weeks warrenty left. I think the fuse has to be taken out whilst the lock solenoid still works......but id someone knows where the fuse is I would be grateful. thank you.
  14. All sounds normal to me too. The 1st to 2nd shift aught to improve with a warm gearbox, just change slowly whilst cold not beating the syncromesh. The noisy thrust bearing on the clutch is nothing to worry about but TBH I am a little surprised after such few miles, my 350 was a bit that way but that was after several years/mile worth of use. Personally I wouldn't get too concerned....and I would be very hesitant to take it to a garage in any case.
  15. wont be battery as the way it works is the fob is waiting for a signal from the transmitter in the car when this happens it turns the signal into power to run a circuit in the fob to give a handshake...The fob can have problems if its near a mobile phone or some stray signal. The battery in the fob only works if you have to use the buttons on the fob......Well thats the way it works...!!
  16. I assume you have lifted the bonnet and checked the Brake fluid reservior
  17. Just in case ... to check for clicking axle..lower the drivers window and roll on and off the throttle in 1st gear..thats when you get the clicking...normally you cant hear it with the window up....Oh and Ive never felt 1/2" play in the rotation of any modern axle...1920's axles when very worn then yes. Maybe this helps???? if not ignor.
  18. I had exactly the same experience when I bought my 370..and I am 53 with a clean licience, took about 30 minutes on the phone at the dealer (bearing in mind all I wanted to do was drive the new car...) then to be told they wont cover me...that was after I had sorted out money and paperwork. 7 day free insurance .......for a fiesta maybe but they dont say that!!!!!
  19. Thats real useful thank you for posting this
  20. Only if I have the seat right back as far as it will go, so I just nudge it forward a fraction and all's good..oh have you tried more volume!! I find I notice noises more if I have a passenger so the music is down.
  21. It'll be just perfect at that mileage. I did just that 3 months ago in the same colour and similar mileage. I tell you its about the most excitment you can have (if you are my age anyways!) Well done I bet you wont sleep thinking about it! I still find my 370 great and so much better than the 350. have fun
  22. Oh thats true, but what about if you need to get out in a hurry...or you are dissorientated after a shunt... I wonder whats best?
  23. My 2009 doesnt seem to have the options....... Auto fold mirrors in my opinion are a bit of a gimmick though ...I am quite happy pressing the button when I require them to fold. My last 350 had auto fold mirrors, but rarely did I use the feature as to be honest my concern is that if you over use the folding feature it will fail at some point!! Locked doors whilst driving...Mmmm dangerous......that is something that would really worry me.
