  1. Just seen this one for £7k which seems remarkably cheap: http://pistonheads.com/sales/2765805.htm
  2. I would say that the Zed doesn't feel as quick as it really is. Some turbo cars have nothing...nothing...then loads of torque, but the Zed's power delivery is so smooth and linear it really doesn't feel like a 280bhp + car.
  3. This thread just reminded me I need to reply to your PM Hassan!
  4. £400 short on a £600 a month mortgage? Unless the husband is earning f**k all, they should be able to cover that fairly easily. Where exactly is the money going?
  5. I've got a genuine drivers side LED rear light if it's any use

    MPG question

I'm currently getting about 19mpg and I'm actually quite pleased with this, as my RX-8 used to give me 12-14mpg in the same conditions
  7. Off topic but I used to love the Santa Monica rims on the Golf
  8. I hope I'm not offending anyone but - to me - car detailing is pointless and so very geeky.

    What Oil.

    Silkolene Pro S or GTFO.
  10. Post code makes a big difference. I'm paying £630 and I'm 24 with 0 NCB, but I'm in a relatively good area. This is with Admiral.
  11. Interesting... Where in Crawley do you work mate, as I very rarely see another Zed here?
  12. Mine were plug and play, no modification required, but I read that some of the Japanese LEDs required some chopping and changing to fit properly. I'm sure there have been similar threads before if you do a search. I presume you have a UK 350z and not an import?
  13. The fella you bought it off really didn't take care of the car did he?!
  14. I got this done last year whilst very drunk. No regrets more than a year later

    factory sat-nav

I have the OEM Sat-Nav and it's garbage. Total garbage. The map looks like it was drawn out by a 12 year old and it doesn't have post code search. Oh, and the woman's voice is irritating.
  16. For me when I said Parked on the street it knocked off about £20 compared to driveway and £35 compared to garage. I'm 24 with 0 NCB and am only paying £634 via Admiral. Excellent value.
  17. Sarnie and Ian: I'm pretty sure his missus didn't mean to damage his roof, it's accidental and easily done, especially in a car like the Zed which is very snug and low. I've done this before too
  18. I think he's speaking Scottish.
  19. I certainly don't begrudge any company trying to maximise profit, and this is all that this promotion is doing. They probably will stand to lose money with this 6p off, but will hope to make it back through people spending more in their shops and the increased brand exposure this will generate. Fuel prices in the UK are the fault of the Government and no other entity. Pure and simple.

    Fuel Economy

Still got the RX8. Can't seem to shift it for love nor money. The tax ran out so it's off the road, and I transferred the insurance over to the Zed, so happy days. I have aimed the headlights up a little bit, but they are definitely not as good as the RX-8s; the projector is just badly designed. Will look at upgrading to bi-xenons soon. I've seen a couple of Zeds around but it's not a regular occurrence really. Mine is a bog standard GM 04 plate with Rays. The only mod I've done is the LED tail lights which certainly look the part.

    Fuel Economy

Already have the xenons, but they're the pre-facelift regular xenons not the fancy schmancy bi-xenons you and other 06+ drivers enjoy

    Fuel Economy

This is not one of your usual MPG-complaint threads before people start . I've been driving my Zed for a week now (had it two months, not been able to drive), and I have to say, the fuel economy is excellent for what it is. I've come from an RX-8 which is part of the reason why I'm surprised, but the Zed seems very frugal in comparison. I don't do many miles, and usually only fill up £35-£40 every week, but for £40 in the Mazda I was getting 105 miles of mixed driving, and the Zed I got just over 200 although mostly motorway (a few leptons over NSL ). I'm very pleasantly surprised that a 3.5 V6 is getting me much better economy than a whiny little 1.3. Man, I love this car! The only things the Mazda did better were practicality and xenons; the 350's headlights are truly shocking, but aside from that I'm really enjoying it. Having people staring at the car takes a little getting used to though!
