you can try flatting it back with some 1800 - 2000 grit wet and dry sandpaper. rub it down until smooth then polish up with some t-cut if thats what you have handy.

for a 2-3 day job that is absolutly peanuts!! he cant have much work on and be a bit desperate for the work imo, go for it!

depends on the plumber you ask to do it, i try and avoid pushfit like the plague. hate the stuff. its just not a proper job imo.

i did a private job last year where i had to rip out a back boiler and fit a new combi in the airing cupboard upstairs so a bit of pipework and the boiler and all new rads and i charged 2800 for it, and made a tidy few hundred for myself so it sounds like hes trying to make quite a bit out of it, unless theres quite a bit to repair the roof where the existing flue goes. i recommend worcester bosch aswell excellent boilers

i wouldnt have thought so, im not trying to fiddle it so it appears ive done less than what its actually done, i just dont want to have an instrument that says ive done 40,000 when my service history shows the car is on 61,000.

is there any way of changing what the speedo says the mileage is, my speedo isnt the most accurate and i want to change it to one that is but i want to retain the correct milage to match up to the service history.

definatly would have been the cold, its a common thing at the moment. give it a good charge and see how it goes, i dont try and leave mine for any longer than 3 days without starting in this weather.

i personally use castrol magnatec 5w-30. its not very expensive either if you use opie oils who are a trader one here
