i just cant get the ipod lead into the armrest compartment. i have used stiff wire and everything. i can get the draw wire through but the ipod lead just wont fit!! thats where i mounted the mic. it just sort of slips in. and the GPS module, are u sure that will work OK? when i fitted mine in the ST i managed to find a route right up to behind the rear view mirror. im sure i wouldnt be that difficult to do the same in the zed. only problem is i have an ipad and it just wont fit in the armrest hole. so it would just be in the coiled up anyway!!

VERY VERY NICE!!!! i have always been a fan of the dnx range. the cables are a PITA. getting them to stay in was a nightmare. where did u mount the mic and the GPS receiver? did u get the ipod lead into the armrest?

Do u not have the cradle already? Has someone removed it? There is a plug in the armrest of the car under the little felt covered tray. It should just plug in there. But if u haven't got it it's gonna cost u to get the cradle then the BT module. Which would go half way to the cost of a new HU. Put a new HU is the way I would go!

Tescos sell those for a fiver. Never had a problem with my one.

Mart, have u taken the radio out before? If so I have a radio with the MP3 mod already done in my garage. All u would have to do is swap them. Although saying that. Are they linked with the car? And is there a way to get round it?

The mp3 mod means that u have to take your radio out and solder a connection onto it. It's very fiddly. But can be done in about an hour. To get the radio out means removing most of the dash from the front. It's a pain if u have never done this before. Go the tescos, buy a tape adapter and just leave it hanging out the front of the boss unit. Where are u from? I could prob do the install, if ure local.

Tbh, that unit seems good. Quite pricey tho. Might as well spend a little extra and get a decent HU. With a single din i reckon u could do it for about 100 quid more than the adapter. I would do it that way.

The ghetto mp3 mod is quite tricky. It basically means pulling the radio out, then taking the unit apart. Then soldering onto some contacts. I have a pre modded unit. With a long 3.5 jack so u can plug anything into it. I have fitted a new double din unit which sounds awesome.

Does this plug into the BT module? If so I don't think it's a 3.5 jack. eBay sell that type of thing but are pricey. But better than the local audio shop. I'll take a picture of mine in a min and post it up for u. We can compare equipment.

He bought them knowing he wouldn't need spacers. i thought Dan ran spacers with them? maybe not his zed was pretty low. love those wheels. any more planned for yours? Lowered on tiens. Then a remap. Possilbly plenum spacer. All after crimbo I think now. Lol
