  1. Any more updates on the out come of this? My sensor voltages are showing very similar values to yours. I have replaced both front sensors and there is no change.
  2. Hi and welcome to the club. Do you drive? If so what do you drive at the moment? You are right, the 350/370 are great cars, in fact all the Nissan/Datsun Z cars have been up there. .....and yeah.....even better when FI.
  3. I think the use of these kinds of insurance policies really depends on your financial circumstances, your attitude to risk and whether your the sort of person that will 'play the system' and claim to your advantage. Personally, I couldn't do that. I know its the way of the world and most people do now, but I don't feel comfortable with it. One of the best bits of financial advise I've read over the years is if its a policy you NEED i.e. House, car etc...then shop around EVERY YEAR for it and get it as cheap as you can (ensuring adequate cover of course but not over covered) and maybe asking for additions for free such as gadget ins on your house ins. All the others are a waist of money if your not gonna play the game. If you add up all the monthly payments to insurances and extended warranties etc its a lot of money. Chances are, if you actually saved that money or even half of it, you would have more than enough to cover any unexpected outlay's for a leaky tap, boiler breakdowns, a new tyre, a new phone. The chances of all these things going wrong at the same time is VERY unlikely......but that's where your attitude to risk comes in. I've saved myself hundreds of pounds since realising this and I'm much happier for it.
  4. That was my favourite part. IBTL
  5. That's a bummer Chris. I know my one is very close, like 2-3mm but doesn't actually touch. Just a thought, while you'll be there sorting this out, it may be worth manufacturing a little guard out of some plate or something for that connector. I've read a few posts in the US about cog belts breaking and wiping out the solenoid connector/wiring leading to serious engine damage. I know you like making stuff and it'll give you something to do or you'll soon be running out of jobs.
  6. Keep it up Chris! Still enjoying following this.
  7. I'll be up for this! If I ever get home from work So the one picture we supply you, with us in it, will be the published picture?
  8. Hi, Can anyone with an OBD2 reader help me out by checking what the voltages are on their o2 sensors are? I'm trying to trace a possible fault. When plugged in and using 'Torque' android app to view o2 sensor voltages I am seeing this; At idle - Bank 1 sensor 1 = 0.3v bank 1 sensor2 = 0.3v Bank 2 sensor 1 = 0.6v bank 2 sensor2 = 0.3v These voltages do vary when driving, but Bank 2 sensor 1 seems to always show twice the voltage of the other 3 sensors. I have replaced both front sensors and still get the same result. Can anyone please spare 10 mins to check theirs and let me know the results. Thanks in advance.
  9. It seems to vary A LOT! Some people have had as little as 20k and others 60k +. Depends how hard you are off the lights!

  11. I'm still on the original clutch. It has done 20k miles. 2k @ 276hp, 12k @ 380hp and 6k @ 420hp. No sign of slipping yet. I will probably get an uprated clutch and flywheel when the time comes, but more so for the lightened flywheel than anything else. So it's by no means necessary with your power goals, but depends if your gonna do loads of drag starts.

  13. As I said earlier, I think that's definitely the place to start, and the 42psi wouldn't have helped. It sounds like you know exactly what you want, and my impression is you probably 'feel' the car more than most so you may still want to carry out the bracing/stiffening mods suggested. But at least you'll have a better starting place to judge the results.
