  1. Hey Mikey_S, many thanks for that, very useful and I have now removed the gaiter. The perished part of the gaiter had actually been nibbled away by something - a mouse? - as had the ring of insulation material which sits under it. As had a small bit of the outer side of the rubber boot which sits under the insulation. Nothing dead, though, within the void. How it got into the car God alone knows, maybe through the heating vents?
  2. Hi all, my Z's gearstick gaiter has started to perish and needs replacing. To save me trial & error, does anyone know the easiest/best way of doing this?.... it looks like (1) the gearstick knob and (2) the silver plastic cover around the bottom of the gaiter both need to be taken off, but how? Is there a particular knack for doing this? Many thanks, Mark
  3. Many thanks for the welcome, everyone I will take some pics and post as the ones I have seem to be too big to add. And yes, the car is completely stock but now it's out of warranty that may possibly change!

  5. Came across this forum when googling 'rear bumper removal' regarding accessing of the indicator lights. Bought my 350Z new four years ago, now clocked up 30k miles or so and no plans to change it for a while. It's the twilight silver colour with GT pack, alezan upholstery and the relatively rare non-RAYS wheels. Look forward to reading the forums Best regards to all, Mark (based in Canterbury, Kent)
