  1. Because you can't put a wiper on you bmx ! I used to have nice caps where i used to live but gave up after them disappearing from my car and ending up on all the local bikes. It was quite funny really, if I was walking to the shops past the park I used to take them back off their bikes while they were playing football or hanging around. They never complained It's pretty quiet where I am right now so could probably put some on again but not sure I'll bother.
  2. I believe the defi senders are 1/8 bsp male. The majority of sandwich plates have 1/8 npt females. If I remember right as well as the npt being tapered and bsp being parallel they are slightly different tpi as well, like 27 and 28. When I was looking at sandwich plates I definitely saw greddy ones with 1/8 bsp sensor holes so they would work for you. They are not cheap though. If I were you I would buy one of the 20 quid eBay ones I linked earlier and get an adaptor for your sender. Like this , http://www.airlines-pneumatics.co.uk/we ... de=S010130 For info, mine arrived a couple of days ago and the quality seems good for that amount of money.
  3. Chris, I have the Invidia G200 true dual on mine, I had one flexi pipe replaced in july because it started blowing, and the other one last month because that one went soon after so get them both done mate. I cut the old ones out with an angle grinder, bought new ones from my local motor factor for about 20 quid each and got a mate to weld them in. Jobs a good'n.
  4. Have a good one. I was hoping to get to Bedford tomorrow but not got enough time to prep the car so gonna have to leave it this time and hope to make another.
  5. Always been like this in my Desire HD using standard browser.
  6. Welcome to the club Jamie I would recommend buying a car from the club if you can as they tend to be very well looked after and their history is generally documented well on here. I think there is a couple of roadsters for sale at the moment, have a look in the zeds for sale section. Its also the best time of year for getting a roadster as prices will lower than in spring/summer and you get to test drive it in cold and wet conditions. If you enjoy it in winter then you'll love it in summer! The engine choice really is yours to make. There has been more later engines with oil consumption problems than earlier ones. However, recently there has been a few early engines using oil and/or failing also so you have to weigh it up. There is some evidence that some of the problems could be coming from prolonged use of the wrong petrol (95) instead of (99). As well as the Tax hike on the later engines its also worth considering that it has dual intakes so 2 air filters, or if you decide to change to something after-market you'll have two induction kits to buy. As far as the power is concerned, I'd be surprised if you could actually 'feel' the difference in the real world anyway. Drive both and see how you feel.
  7. Welcome to the club Bitch! That just sounds wrong
  8. What do you expect........buying from abroad....bloody foreigners....
  9. I've used the Aero style wipers from ebay for a year now and I must say I've been impressed. Regarding the rain-x etc...it is great for motorway driving, and I do use it as most of my driving is national speed limit. But if you mainly do around town runs its probably not worth it. Also you need to keep on top of it and re-apply it weekly or I've found that as it starts to wear off it starts to leave a misty smear especially when night driving with on-coming headlights.
  10. I feel you haven't tried to research this very hard As a start type 'Uprev' in the search box in the top right of the screen and start reading. The general consensus is, the only dis-advantage to it is the initial out lay.
  11. I get this all the time. I was in the barber shop a few weeks ago and this guy came in saying - "Have you seen that sports car parked down the road? I've never seen anything like it! Absolutely Stunning! I dunno what it is....it's just got a Z badge on it." I just sat quietly in the corner smiling on the inside.
  12. I just bought one of these £19.99 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130576580145? ... 1423.l2649
  13. Hi Sam, Welcome to the club. As above more details please.
  14. Good progress being made there. The belt layout and all the Vortech pulleys looks mental without the radiator Are you gonna do anything with the Vortech mounting plate at all? Paint or polish? The colour of mine bugs me. Looks like you might have had a light impact on the front then, with the slight damage and over-spray. Nothing serious but I assume a bit dis-heartening if you wasn't made aware of it before you bought it. Keep the updates coming.
  15. Its a good question, but I don't know the answer. I know my neighbours and my missus are miffed as to how I find something to do on the car every other day when I'm home. they think I'm
  16. If you don't want to buy anything special, I used some old T-cut just cos I had it laying around and it did the job ok.
