  1. No problem! Its a tough time of year to sell unfortunately, but it looks like a nice car...
  2. looks OK, price looks about right to me. You haven't mentioned service history other than the last one? I would put the tax, MOT mileage details first in the ad, its what I would be most interested in... also the picture with the bloke fiddling (cleaning?) the wing mirror is a bit off putting, particularly as you have another better picture of the car from virtually the same angle. I didn't feel the comparison to the import was particularly useful, the features you listed yes, but the comparison to JDM no... All in my opinion of course! Good luck with the sale! Azure is by far the best colour
  3. VW polo, everytime for me. bit more expensive to buy but reliable and parts are cheap as chips (GSF carparts!) Also hold their price well and will be easy to sell on. If she has to park on the street in West London the smaller the car the better! Are you from Twickenham BTW? me too ETA: if you want to look around a few small cars there is a place in Chertsey that only stocks small cars. http://www.windisor.co.uk/9204/windisor.htm He's a little overpriced, but we got a Figaro from there and the guy was happy to barter, failing that it might be a good place to just have a look round some small cars to see what your daughter likes the look of...
  4. sounds to me like you have already made the decision and the Zed has to go. For me once I start thinking like that about a car then its all over. £300 a month is a pretty serious chunk of cash particularly if you are saving for a house...
  5. how much are you paying then? A few people have mentioned that vpower is more expensive than tesco 99. I haven't found that. Still have my past two receipts for the past 7 days petrol. Tesco 99 - 112.9 VPower - 111.9 Not noticed them put the price up but I have noticed that the price does vary between the two tesco petrol stations that are within a mile of each other near me. My local Tesco is never cheaper than my local shell without a voucher. Currently I think shell is 111.9 and Tesco is 114.9, but thats because they are doing the 5p off a litre, so it does work out a little cheaper. When they stop doing the 5p off a litre the tesco price will drop back down to match the shell price normally. BP ultimate however is mega expensive, about 119 at my local garage!! I don't actually do that many miles though so I don't fill up that often...
  6. The problem is its all a matter of personal opinion, what I think is Chav other won't, and vice versa. A lot of people (not on here and not me) will think any sort of modification, meets, or particular types of music are chav. Equally there will always be people thinking you are destroying the earth, or driving a hair dressers car. Don't stress about it lifes to short
  7. I would debate a lot of those as not being "Chav" TBH, but it happens to all performance cars to an extent, they get cheap and so much more widely available, particularly to younger folk who are more in to rather extreme styling. After a while they go out of fashion again and starting becoming rarer and so you see less modified examples around again... This debate came up a lot on the VX220 forums and it was generally thought those were dipping into the "chav" bracket although there was actually very few with major comestic mods... ETA: it feels worse than it is because you own a 350z, are looking out for them, and have a connection with them. Also it tends to be those most in to modifying who post a lot on forums (prepares to get flamed for huge generalisation)
  8. That seems really cheap. I suspect there is more to it than meets the eye. No mention of a service history either.
  9. not sure if anyones elses local Tesco do this but my local one actually put their fuel prices up a couple of pence when they have the 5p off a litre deal going on. Cheeky beggars! Still works out a bit cheaper than my local shell but only a bout 2p a litre, which is only £1.20 saving on a whole tank...
  10. I think girlie cars attract girls more. I occasionally drive my girlfriends Figaro and the amount of attention (good) you get from girls is amazing, much more than I ever get in the Z or any other car I've driven
  11. My first 350z to return my Wave!! If you were driving your silver? Zed with some sort of bodykit? (nismo?) towards Hemel Hempstead on Sunday afternoon and saw someone in a Azure blue zed waving and flashing at you it was me Hello, you are the first 350z driver to return my wave in 4 months of ownership...
  12. tyres make a huge difference. i recently fitted a tonneau and an boot mat and that has also reduced road noise a bit...
  13. Don't have much experience on Zed tyres but I can add that its very hard to compare tyres on different cars. for example I had Kumho ecsta sports on my old Colt and they were pretty rubbish in the wet and OK in the dry. A lot of the VX220 guys now run the very same tyre and rant about how good they are in the wet, completely the opposite to what I experienced. Similarly I also didn't rate Pilot sports when i had them on another car but they are highly rated here... I am not a fan of the bridgestones in the wet though, they do seem rather slippy. in the dry they are excellent, just teaches you to be more careful in the wet which is no bad thing....
  14. I don't want to make any comments on the car or the price but the photos on the ad are rubbish! If the person selling the car reads this please take some better photos, some full side on shots of the car, or the car centred in the picture, or interior pics without loads of stuff in the passenger foot well. The ones on you advert are terrible, always sets of alarm bells for me... Just trying to help, good luck with the sale, hope you manage to sell it (whoever is selling it)
  15. another satisfied customer here too!
  16. This may just be the way the heat is conducted. I've noticed before if you have an electric blanket on a bed with no duvet or person on it it simple doesn't get warm. i can only assume that because the level of heat is actually very low and near the surface the heat simple soaks (radiates?) away into the air rather than warming up the bed (or in this case seat). So my guess would be it comes on but doesn't actually have much effect unless there is something on it (person, shopping, handbag etc!) Just a guess though....
  17. £35 an hour! Garages in London don't charge less than £55 most are £65+
  18. one thing I would add (and I'll probably get flamed for this) is don't just buy the biggest one you can afford. It seems to be the done thing to get the biggest TV possible, but they often don't suit the room and picture quality suffers close up if you don't go HD. Make sure in the shop you look at them from about the distance you will at home, the further away you are the better the picture looks...
  19. I'm sure I read that there was some sort of agreement/law in Europe that stated all cars with factory fit xenon headlights should have headlight washers as standard, so I think (and i could be wrong) if it is a UK car it should have xenons and therefore should have headlight washers. i think
  20. Just a thought but you had the car in Ascot inspected before you even saw it, then you travelled a long way to see it. If I was the dealer I would be thinking you were going to definately buy the car after that and would not be likely to budge on price. A gamble of course which didn't pay off for him, but I've found in the past when I've let the dealers know I've travelled a long way they are less willing to do a deal... Just a thought...
  21. all the lights on the dashboard sounds like you could have a duff wheel sensor somewhere which is messing up your traction and your ABS. Get the fault codes read and I reckon you will find a cause...
  22. I struggle to get petrol in sometimes too. Wiggling the nozzle or putting it in deeper or pulling it out a bit (oh er ) normally lets you get more in. My UK car only seems to take 60 litres though?
  23. you can do it without taking the strut brace off as well. Bit more fiddly but not much...
  24. Voted best car by Top Gear Magazine, not the TV show.
