  1. Frozen then I reckon. I lubed everything I could get to on the door (I took the door card off too but that doesn't help much) to try and displace any water in the locks. Give it a go and see if it does it again...
  2. another vote for O2 here. Not had to ring customer support in the 2 years I've been with them. Super easy set-up, and suprisingly nice software to help troubleshoot any glitches. I was with Tiscali before and they were very unreliable and very unhelpful.
  3. I had exactly the same thing when mine froze up a couple of weeks ago. Handles didn't seem to do anything on either door. Lots of deicer, swearing and scraping and the passenger door eventually opened...
  4. I couldn't get into my car on Saturday morning. everything was frozen solid, none of the handles worked After about 15 mins of scraping and spraying with deicer the passenger door finally opened (window didn't drop though) once the engine was started things moved a bit more quickly but I still couldn't get into the drivers side... I took off the door card and lubed all the window and lock mechanism I could get to but not sure if it will help... Washer jets stayed frozen all day, I had to keep leaning out the window and squirting volvic water on the windscreen! I tried to do this once on the move (only going slowly, there was no where to stop and I couldn't see anything!) and didn't try again after I got a soaking arm and leg for my troubles...
  5. sorry to go But how come you couldn't fit in with these seats, Surely they couldn't of been higher than the standard leather?
  6. Is the garage single skin or double skin bricks/blocks at the moment? I think it has to be double skin (i.e. have cavity walls) to make it into an official living space...
  7. do they still have the giant Santa climbing up the side of the town hall/Library in Manchester? Used to love that
  8. for me I would be seriously tempted back into a VX220. doesn't need to be a turbo and 8K should get you a reasonably nice one (particularly this time of year) yes they are a bit cramped inside but once you've got the roof off you don't notice it so much. No idea how big you are but I'm 6ft 5 and fitted in my VX fine (they are bigger than a series 1 Elise inside). Its a completely different driving experience from a 350z, very focused, very at one with the car. you also sit very low to the ground so the sense of speed is greater. I got rid of mine as I didn't have enough decenet roads to drive it on, if I had highlands available to me I'd probably still have it. Like I said for me an S2000 is just a bit too much like a 350z.
  9. what do you want it for? Driving purity, looks, cruising ability etc?
  10. I have never driven one but if I was going to get a second car I would go a bit more extreme, elise or a vx220, even a caterham or something like that. For me an S2000 is a bit too similar to a 350z (all be it without a roof)
  11. one of my friends just had a BMW 7 series. It sounds a bit lame but it was fully loaded with the windows heavily tinted in the back and with the ribbons on and everything it looked great, far better than I expected anyway.
  12. Sounds strange, I can't say I've noticed any difference in running temp in mine since the cold weather has come along. Sounds an awful lot like the thermostat might have gone so its not warming up properly. Is the idle staying high?
  13. Sorry am I being dim? how can you double de-clutch without using the clutch? Do you mean rev matching (heel & toeing)? Isn't double de-clutch... 1) clutch in, remove from gear 2) clutch out, blip of throttle 3)clutch back in, into next gear, clutch out Rev matching (heel & toe)... 1) Clutch in, remove from gear 2) blip throttle 3) into gear, clutch out. or revmatching without clutch where you do the same as rev matching without using any clutch (do-able but not advised!)
  14. I went to the Pistonheads Sunday Service today at Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands. I've never been to one of these before and it was quite good. Pulled up next to a Mustang though and everyone was standing around listening to it revving its Engine. Made the Zed seem very tame, I just quickly got out and left everyone too it.... Load of pictures below of some of the cars there... One other Zed who I didn't see the owner of, anyone on here?
  15. I think this may be the answer. Im not certain but Id tend to agree that if there was nothing on the seat then there is nothing to get warm and the heat in the seat is probably minimal enough that you wouldnt feel it just by putting your hand there?? I could be wrong though. Perhaps someone else couild test for me. Next time your out for a drive whack your passenger seat heater on and then give it some time and feel the seat with your hand. Can you physically feel any heat? Thanks a lot guys. I tried this the other night and although the passenger seat got a little warm it certainly wasn't hot like the drivers seat, if it hadn't been a cold night I don't think I would have noticed the it warming at all to be honest. So I don't think there is any sort of switch it just doesn't have anything to keep the warmth in...
  16. if you've got picture of damage and a log/invoices of repairs it will certainly make it easier to sell on...
  17. Welcome along! the lighter leather really brightens up the interior, I like I'm in Twickenham so if you see a azure blue about waving frantically its probably me. please wave back, no one ever does
  18. I'm glad its not just me who doesn't care about this. It was the front page of the newpaper yesterday that he had got £100 driving ticket. Seriously the most important thing to have happened in the world is Tiger Woods getting £100 fine The media really irritates me
  19. its a big change from a Z! The only way it will be more pratical is having 2 more seats I would have thought? Have you driven one?
  20. Careful in the wet if you are new to high power RWD! We don't want you posting to say you have wrapped it around a lampost! Glad you are enjoying it though. The noise and speed is rather addictive
  21. No not a all, I forgot what service has been done etc, thats all at home! I will edit that once I'm home from work! Cool, Just one of the first things I look for is all...
  22. looks better but still no mention of service history? Is that becuase you only have history of the last service?
