  1. 4 brand new Falken 452 tyres now on the car, so slight price increase to £3600 for 350z forum members Full advert on Pistonheads with some better pictures too! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3039090.htm
  2. Apsley one seems to be OK, they use wash mitts rather than sponges but they don't do a great job of keeping them washed out from the one time the mrs took her car there... Edit: Just realised how old this thread was
  3. I don't see how you would remove the door but maybe someone else would know better. It sure isn't obvious.
  4. Hmmm... I can't see how it would come off...
  5. SOLD SOLD SOLD I found this in my garage when I was having a clear out. Up and over cubby. Door seems to be in perfect condition and the mechanism works fine, however a lot of the back of box has been cut away to do a little in dash project that never quite got off the ground. There is a crack on one side where the mechanism slides through (see pic) and the back bits generally a bit gluey and messy. I did fit it in my 04 car and it was a tiny bit lighter shade than my dash, so I'm not sure what era car it came off. Anyway £20 posted on £15 if you want to come pick it up from Twickenham West London.... ( it cost me £50 in virtually the same state so grab a bargain!)
  6. What did you do to my car!!! Only joking mate, awesome job. Shame you don't like it though...
  7. Cheers all, I decided to go with a company I used before, I wasn't going to because their quote seemed really expensive but after I shopped around a bit it seems it wasn't too bad after all. I was tempted by the cheap online companies but everyone has warned me off.... Thanks again!
  8. Time to call again on the kind folks of 350z-uk Anybody on here a conveyancing solicitor or can recommend a good one they have used lately. I've just had an offer accepted on my flat and have found a new place to move to so need some thing quickly, but would prefer to get a recommendation from someone...
  9. Do a google search. loads of info on it out there...
  10. Thanks for all the interest everyone the car has now been sold The good news is its gone to cfoster a nice bloke, former Zed owner and forum regular
  11. Hmmm... Lots of mixed reports about slick 50 and some of them very bad. If it was as good as they make out manufacturers would use it. Personally I would steer clear, but I know there are a lot of very happy slick 50 customers out there...
  12. Welcome to the forum! £12K should get you a nice car, there is lots of info on here about different specs so have a search through. If you want a UK car they only came in GT spec or not GT spec so there isn't too many options to worry about. Jap imports have many more options but can be equally as good. GT spec basically gets you leather seats, cruise control and an uprated (although still not great) Stereo. personally I would get a nice Azure blue 54 reg GT with a low mileage... but I would say that.... To answer your questions... whats the average mpg id be gettin on motorway driving and around towns? - you'll average mid 20s at a guess, less than 20 is possible in stop start town traffic, over 30 at constant motorway speed any big services i should look out for? - Servicing isn't too bad, there are 3 levels of service P1, P2, P3. P3 being the most expensive. Depending who you go to the prices range from £150 to £400, which is a steal for a modern car with this sort of performance! There is no cambelt to worry about as its chain driven. difference within BHP with difference models? - 3 different BHP levels, its been covered several times in the last couple of weeks, have a look... i very much like to drive long journeys, but will occasionaly enjoy a good blast too, is the handling ok ? - yes, the handling is excellent, bear in mind it is a big car though, if you are coming from an Elise it will feel a smidge blunt and heavy. If you are coming from a estate it will be wonderful! Lots of feedback and very controlable at the limit if thats your thing
  13. I believe thats a TADTS (they all do that sir). Mine doesn't but if you search on here I think its quite commmon and nothing to worry about.
  14. What you really need is a blue one. they are the best! Welcome to the club too!
  15. As others have said its probably a wheel bearing, it could also be a driveshaft, check the rubber boots on the CV joints in case they have split and the the joint is losing grease. I've had this before on another car and it made some strange old noises that took ages to identify the dry CV joint.
  16. Chilli Red very rare indeed. Non GT packs go for about a grand less than the GT equivalent so consider that when viewing. Depends if you are that fussed about the leather or not whether to hold out for a GT. Oh and the cruise control too. Not sure the bose is really worth the extra cash or not though! I found the cloth seats sat a bit lower than the leather ones so if you are tall then the cloth maybe a better option for you... I suspect a GT will be easier to sell on... oh and welcome too I would suggest you come and have a look at mine \/ \/ \/ but you are a long way from west London!
  17. Yeah I saw that post, but I've got a plenum spacer so I think I'll need to remove the strut bar in order to get the engine cover off. Doh, yes you probably will it was a squeeze to get the cover out!
  18. I know I've said it before but you don't actually need to take the strut bar off to change the spark plugs! It would certainly make access easier but it can be done without. When I did mine I didn't actually have a big enough spanner for the nuts on the bar so it stayed where it was, a little fiddly in places but very do-able.
  19. welcome along! I like carlimits for driver training. Great fun although I've not done in the zed
  20. Look here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=32929 Seems reasonable to me. Have a look through pistonheads to see what they go for, all rather depends on if its the facelift model or not... Obviously if I was you I wouldn't go to a dealer I would buy from someone on here, preferably a low mileage 54 reg in Azure blue, and save yourself a load of cash
  21. According to the service manual spark plugs don't need changing for 5 years and something like 56K miles. I did mine at 22K, but 5 years old. The olds ones still looked perfect in all honesty and I didn't notice any difference in performance or running. I went for Denso iridiums when I changed mine as they were easiest to get hold of and hardly any more expensive! I got mine from envy

    Boot size

not sure about golf clubs but the boot is quite a good size, its just a bit of a funny shape. Annoyingly its just a fraction too low to carry wine bottles up right!
  23. don't worry about it, not much you can do really. I got a steering wheel lock from Halfords but it normally just gets left in the garage unless I know I'm going to a nasty area. If it helps you relax then get one, they are only £50 or so. Heard of very few zeds being stolen...
  24. Welcome along Animal Think I've seen your posts over on pistonheads too!
