    Dumb Question

Hi, just trying to identify my tyres. They are Bridgestone Potenzas, I can tell that much but only other marking I can see is E050AZ. Am i right in thinking these would be what are normally reffered to as the RE050A? Thanks in advance.
  3. Is it just me or is the forum time an hour fast? Does it not change when the clocks change or something? Just noticed it as the timing of a post I was reading was 30mins in the future! Fair enough if it's always been like it Ive just not noticed before.

  5. Oooh, now you got my attention. Really want a carbon type dash of some sort. I did pm epr through the site and had no reply
  6. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350Z-Dry-C ... 3147205138 I'm close to going for one of these only thing stopping me is that the gear surround part looks slightly the wrong shape, I did pm the seller a while ago about fitment but never heard anything. What people think?
  7. Last year I slid on ice into the neighbours driveway and couldnt get out again. Eventually managed it by getting more weight in the back, namely my dad.
  8. Darlings is fantastic for dancing girls ect ect. Spent a few great nights in the karlovy lazne, £1 a pint, open all night and women of every nationality in there! It's spread over 5 or 6 floors with different music on each. Love Prague.
  9. South West London and North East Norfolk, couldnt get much more different. Shows how pointless trying to rationalise car insurance is.
  10. Makes me think there were a lot of thefts or something in the OP's area. What's your postcode? NR9
  11. Im 28 with 7yrs no claims and with Direct Line aswell, mine went from £380 to £490 this year and i was peeved with that! I feel fortunate now.
  12. +1 look like they have had rick waller driving them with michelle mcmanus in the passenger seat and a boot load of brick rubble. Rank.
  13. i thought the Zed came with a staggered setup from the factory. i know the rays are staggered, so were the 19" nismos and the gt4 wheels. were the stock oem sizes a square setup? i would have thought the car would be set to the wheels. all systems would have to be set up once the cars built as each car is different. Yep, stock oem is a square setup. 8j all round.
  14. Excuse my ignorance but I take it the same would apply in reverse then? I would need the geometry adjusting if I ever went from the oem square setup to a staggered one? If that's the case you are saying cars left the factory with different geo setups depending on whether they had upgraded to Rays or not? That's useful info to know if true.
  15. Posting on my phone takes an age, you hadn't posted when I started!
  16. wrong! Rays were an option on uk cars (at least to begin with, can't be sure they didn't later become standard.) See reference to it in this article http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evolong ... _350z.html. Many uk cars didn't come with rays but the standard six spokes, mine included and I prefer them.
  17. Not interested in these personally but thought someone may be, apologies if posted before but not seen them myself. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 3D1&_rdc=1
  18. Rays are not standard oem, they're an option. standard 18' s are 8"all round. see here http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/350Z_OEM ... ifications
  19. Like that, mind telling me where you got it?
  20. The standard oem is a square setup with wider tyres on the rear, they are only 8"wide though. Not sure how wider ones would handle.
  21. I would quite like some of these for next summer Just from googling they seem reasonably priced too, wouldnt mind a quote for some 18s + rubber if any traders on here supply them? Not seen them on a Z yet.
  22. It was on the radio yesterday that car insurance generally has gone up this year but thats a big big jump. Mine went from £380 to £490 which wasnt so bad, if it had gone up that much I would have had to considered selling up! Direct Line are cheapest for me.
  23. I think thats what i said earlier, i think this is just a question about the peddle travel and position for comfort and feel, some people including me, like to have a fairly direct feel, and in this case a lot of clutch peddles can be adjusted to accommodate a wide range of positions and movement, provided there is still enough travel to fully disengage the clutch, and also not have it partially disengaged, which as said will quickly kill the friction plate. What I was referring was This is normally a sign of either a worn clutch or air within the hydraulic system. I personally would check out the mechanical side of it first to ensure that your not covering up a potential problem of either a worn clutch or air within the system. Thats just my two pennies worth I hear what your saying and to be honest I expected someone to say that but of the 5 zeds I have driven (including a brand new one) I found them all pretty much the same which makes me think its just a characteristic of the car.
