  1. I was looking at taking a punt on one too but decided against it as it didnt look like the gear lever surround would fit the pre facelift manual transmission. The front edge of it just looks too high to me, more like it would fit the auto below. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=350Z+interior&hl=en&sa=X&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7DKUK&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=L7nY4VQhQkXgPM:&imgrefurl=http://www.kenrockwell.com/cars/nissan/350z/index.htm&docid=DNJZcjBZggDm-M&w=3008&h=2000&ei=m214TqDrFoqx0AXgspGUDQ&zoom=1&biw=1280&bih=855&iact=rc&dur=249&page=4&tbnh=146&tbnw=195&start=60&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:12,s:60&tx=103&ty=68
  2. I was interested in some of these a while ago. Not in the market anymore but I still think they're nice, quite light too I believe. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-19-staggered-alloy-wheels-Nissan-Skyline-350Z-370Z-/310331204881?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item48412e6511
  3. May be interested in a couple of 245/40/19's
  4. Looks excellent, I've been thinking of doing the same thing for a while but a combination of laziness and the aggro i had last time I took the dash off has stopped me. What did you use to smooth the centre console off and how easy was it to get such a good finish?
  5. Has anybody used allnewtyres.co.uk or mailordertyres.co.uk ? I now need a pair of 245/40/19 and these seem the only places that have fk452's or KU31's in stock at a good price. If anyone can suggest any other reasonable tyres for a similar price and where I could get them from it would be appreciated I havent asked any traders in here yet, should have been my first port of call I suppose
  6. Presumed it was connected to the garage somehow, do they have a decent rep then?
  7. Was just checking out a garages location on streetview for possibly getting some tyres fitted and seen this race decal covered Z. Its in Norwich, check out street view here http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Mountergate,Norwich&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x47d9e3e919d23089:0x825f89def0e30042,Mountergate,+Norwich,+Norfolk+NR1&gl=uk&ei=B1prTtGbDYiy8gO2rJQg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=3&ved=0CDoQ8gEwAg Quite random to come across it I thought!
  8. Its all relative surely, driving round here which is a reasonably nice area I see a few nicer, more expensive, more exciting, better cars but there's an awful lot more tatty, boring, sensible or just plain rubbish cars around. Despite it's flaws The Z is generally one of the nicer cars about. If I park up on one of the less salubrious estates near where I work I can guarantee I will get a number of positive comments on the car as they consider the Z something more exotic than the cars they generally see/own. I don't really like parking up there either as the car blatantly stands out as something a bit more special than the other cars around and may attract the wrong kind of attention. Now if I were to take the Z down to Monte Carlo it would be a completely different story and many would look down there nose at it and consider it "only a 350z". Thing is they would probably also consider a 911 "only a 911" and a GTR "only a GTR", it's all relative! The fact this **** said what he did only proves that to him it's not "only a 350z" but is a car he is some what jealous of and I would continue to make him jealous by making sure it's always as clean and shiny as possible. Just think how shitty his life must be to have to make comments like that to make himself feel better.
  9. I would slash his Picanto's tyres, chuck paint stripper on it and smash its windows. When he kicked off tell him its just a shitty Picanto and to chill out. Only kidding of course
  10. I've got a set of brand spanking new rear splash guards still in the box but cant decide whether to sell them or source a front set and get them fitted. Some cars i see them on and i like and others I'm not so sure, what do people think yay or nay on the splash guards??? Also what would the rear ones be worth? If enough then it may sway my decision... Car they would be fitted to
  11. Just back from a 3 day stag in bournemouth. We sneaked the stags clothes out of the car before leaving norwich so the only clothes he had once he arrived in bournemouth was what we provided, namely the nastiest stuff we could get from charity shops plus some fancy dress. We also all had t-shirts made up with with a naked pic of the stag on the front and his mobile number plastered across the chest, went down a treat with the ladies his phone didn't stop ringing for three days! As for activities we played a couple rounds of golf and that was it as needed most of the day to recover from the previous nights activities.
  12. what company and why? I work on combi's and system boilers everyday... whats the reason for not using a combi? Don't get me wrong Combi's have there place but if I was spending my own money I would still avoid. Over the years I've seen combi's become the thing to fit and in some circumstances for good reasons, One problem though is the amount of installations where a combi is chosen simply because it's the easiest/cheapest option without enough thought for the demands to be placed upon it. The most regular customer complaint we came across was of poor DHW on combi boilers, usually the boiler would be working to spec though and it was just that it did not produce the dhw the user was used to from their traditional system. You could argue this isn't an issue with the boiler and more the person specifying the correct boiler however I think it's still something to bear in mind. The other common issues with combi's included things like scale formation, where I am the water is exceptionally hard and it's not unknown for plate heat exchangers to fur up in just a few months, diverter valves becoming stuck due to scale build up and diaphragms splitting. Yes you can get water softeners to help with this but in the testing we did the cheap ones just didnt work and the expensive ones are expensive! All combi's however well designed will have more components, moving parts, fittings, joints ect than a traditional boiler and all intricately crammed into a much smaller space than a traditional heating system so there has to be more potential for problems. I see you say you work on Combi's everyday, would that be because they break down the most regularly? That's certainly my experience. I'm not saying combis are rubbish just people should be aware they are not the be all and end all. If a particular combi fits a specific situation fair enough, we have sold many many combi's and have many many happy customers with them just be aware of the extra complexity of them and so the extra potential for problems. As for system boilers I have no problem with them at all, they're a great compromise and if I was replacing my boiler it's what I would have. I would rather not name my company as I still have an involvement there and dont really want to become there spokesman on this forum, forgive me if I don't post on this much more either as I sold up so that I didnt have to spend 24 hours a day thinking about boilers and I'm already boring myself! i do agree with most of what you said to be honest. I work on them everyday as my company has a massive client with over 600 site which need serviced yearly. Its not breakdowns. Most breakdowns i have been to is faulty pcb's and faulty pressure switches tbh. The dhw being poor is always down to the person choosing the boiler. I'm also a design technician which allows me to have that little edge over a normal "fitter" What people do forget is that you can still get efficient condensing system boilers and dont always need condensing combi's. For small properties with small occupancy i'd say the combi is a great idea but if you are talking multiple bathrooms and showers etc, ie a very large property a condensing system boiler with calorifier will always work better unless we're into massive combi's with huge heat input/output. I'm qualified for domestic and commercial properties so the boilers/burners i can work on can range from 1kw to 1MW heat inputs so i have a fairly broad insight into these things Unfortunately many of the installers/fitters/whatever they prefer to be called that I have dealt with over the years dont have the depth of knowledge you obviously do and it tends to be these guy's who just fit the combi everytime as the easy option. That added to what became almost the fashion of fitting combi's as some kind of wonder boiler that has no drawbacks then you can see why I feel compelled to chirp up when a combi is universally recommended. Anyway that's enough from me,who wants to talk about boilers when there's shiny cars to look at.

  14. As a general rule of thumb I would always avoid a combi if possible. Where there is no other option then fair enough but never as a first choice. This come's from someone who until very recently owned a company manufacturing domestic central heating boilers including combi's.
  15. Yeah there's one or two around. I also see a kuro 350 on the A11 quite often plus a nismo kitted azure one around Wymondham occasionally plus there's a silver one in norwich lowered with aftermarket alloys and a guy who does our net care at work has a jdm gunmetal with n1 spoiler. There's also two jdm's currently for sale in Old Costessey.
  16. I've seen that car too. It's normally parked up on the industrial estate in Wymondham most days and it pulled up behind me the other day at the BP on the A11. Also seen a white 350 with red/orange wing mirrors the other day leaving Wymondham.
  17. I dont know about an online guide but when I got mine from ZMANALEX they came with a fitting guide.
  18. Not had any problems with speed bumps yet and been over some pretty nasty ones, no rubbing either. Supposed to drop 17mm front and 14mm rear, although I didn't measure it I would say it's dropped slightly more than that and could settle a little more yet. Had new compression arm bushes and drop links fitted too and it feels like a new car now, less body roll and just corners so much better. Cant explain how much better it is, loving it.
  19. Fitted the tein springs and 20/25 spacers yesterday, cars still filthy mind you.
  20. Mine was when I got it, but it's gone up, up, up since. Dreading the next premium.
  21. A white 350z with I think carbon bonnet, kitted and black alloys with polished lip parked up at Desira Nissan, Vulcan Rd, Norwich today. Spotted while I was picking up some parts.
  22. But are you a trader? If not and you declare that you are then essentially you are not insured. well my friend got a garage so his going to show me as im working there... ...you better actually be on the books then otherwise you've knowingly misinformed the insurance company and wont be covered. Not saying you are doing that because I dont know if you are but the people who do that kind of thing are partly responsible for the extortionate premiums everyone honest has to pay, and are proper t***s for doing so.
