  1. Ryan and Abbey did a lot of work on the set up last week on our in house dyno. ( Jez has had input into the base set up as well) Ryan had the knowledge on the Syvecs and we had the knowledge on the VQ , we had all the cam maps and ignition maps all ready built from the time we have been tuning the VQ's , I have tuned over 150 278bhp 350Z's on our dyno with Uprev software and this includes a few twin turbo cars and a lot of Supercharged cars. The cars I have removed the Unichip and Split second boxes from and re-tuned the stock ECU have all driven and made better power only negative items from that is the stock ECU cant have boost control. The Syvecs will allow boost control and a number of different calibrations via a CAL switch if you want. Hope to have the ECU back with me soon after Syvecs are updating some firmware and wiring on the prototype ECU.
  2. next week I hope , last kit supplied to the UK thou , no more stock in Japan either.
  3. It will be interesting to see what unit is it and who the tuner is It is Syvecs S6 ECU , both us @ Abbey and Jez @ Horsham Developments have had input into the development , just waiting for some more updates. Was giving good number son my totally stock UK 276bhp last week.
  4. We aren't far from being able to supply a stand alone ECU, that allows the stock ECU to be removed , new ECU will only lose the cruise control but will gain a huge amount of other tunable/tweakable items. Everything else will work like a stock car.
  5. HKS single kit. comes with heat shields all included, sadly the kit is no longer made.
  6. sneak preview of a turbo build in the Abbey workshop. Stock Motor so will be low boost but should have an awesome flat torque curve. By abbeymotorsport at 2012-08-30
  7. not allowed to....Sony have all the rights to advertising........
  8. thanks guys , I didn't get there till 9PM on the Friday night left at 11pm it was only generic reflash's we uploaded. Seeing 7 cars was pretty awesome thou.
  9. Abbey Motorsport got a phone call from RJN motorsport's http://uk.playstation.com/home/events/d ... T-Academy/ > Abbey having being tuning the RJN race cars with Uprev for over 2 years. The car where going into limp mode due to heat soak after pit stops even thought hey had large oil coolers fitted and Bob from RJN knew Abbey had a fix using the Uprev software , so it was a last minute deal , just so happened Abbey where at Santa Pod that weekend so Mark went to Silverstone to flash these car’s on the way to Santa Pod. 6 cars where flashed on the Friday night but they had 1 car that the Rom wasn’t supported but we just dumped the ECU and with the time difference Uprev Patched the ROM for me that night and after the meeting on the Saturday I returned to Silverstone to flash the 7 and last car. Cars are going great now no heat soak issues. Abbey Motorsport, Uprev,Nissan and Sony all working together. 10. That's what we are trying to find out - This engine has always been a pain at idle both before and after the rebuild - not sure if it is the Cams the single mass flywheel or a combination of the 2, also the engine has done less than 500 miles so it's still "tight"? It seems to be a mapping issue but I'm not sure at which point control is switched between the OEM and the Haltech as the Haltech cannot adjust idle rpm so I assume the OEM is doing the mapping at this point? when she does idle even at 900rpm she is smooth enough it's just the off throttle so you're driving along 30 - 40mph come to a roundabout down a gear slow down then you push the clutch in come off the throttle completely and brake - now she will either drop to a very low rpm 500 ish then pick up to 900rpm and tick over happily or stall - mostly she picks up but the stalling is annoying! Tightness wont make any difference I feel; Have you got a wide band lambda gauge fitted to the car? Idle speed is controlled via stock ECU but if the map on Haltech is not working with the stock ECU it will have an unstable idle, maybe running lean n over run? Does tweaking the idle with the Cipher make no difference?
  11. yours has been Upreved already so I have tweaked the idle on the main idle map. So why does the car stall? the DBW throttle should control the idle speed spot on.
  12. I dont think that is correct , I am sure I have a couple of cars running 1000+ idle RPM.
  13. You can adjust your idle speed using the Cipher cable; You see IDLE speed adjust on the front page of the Cipher, this allows you to bump the idle speed to lower or higher than the stock speed that is in the stock ECU map. By abbeymotorsport at 2012-08-28
  14. Thats the right oil being used. You guys better have a chat.
  15. Did you buy from a dealer? If so I would be taking it back to be honest. It maybe just a fuel damper but something isn't right.
  16. I know it has just been serviced but does the car use oil?
  17. Cheers guys, We can supply Miltek Motordyne Invidia and HKS or other makes to order as well. I can do a good deal on both the exhaust and remap. send me a email to mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk. Mark
  18. Sounds very heavy to me for a fuel damper,if you rev the engine does the noise follow the engine RPM?
  19. It wont be the compression rings causing the hassle it will be the oil control rings worn out. Running de cats high lights the issue normally , if yur running CATS these stop you seeing the oil being burnt.
  20. We seen this problem a few times as well , you cant get the ball joint to knock when levering on the ramp but once you drive the ca ryou get a knocking nois e, fit a new Compression arm and the noise goes.
  21. strange all the cars I have seen have had Sat Nav.
  22. I thought all the late HR Zed's had Sat Nav fitted; Even a base model car had Sat Nav I thought, I haven't seen a late model without Sat Nav. My god, theres a lot of confusion here. Sat Navs were always optional. On my 2007 HR 313 Roadster, it was an extra £1400 over list price to get the sat nav. If you had the sat nav on a 2007 car then it replaced the cubby hole and the sat nav was visible all the time. If you didnt have sat nav you had the cubby hole. When I was looking for my car, and even now if you look on autotrader at HR cars there are not many around with the sat nav. I think not many people figured spending £1400 on a sat nav seemed good value compared to a £70 TOM TOM. The interior of that car is definitely facelift. It looks identical to mine, bar mine has the sat nav. Same alloy trim on the knobs etc.. Not only that, its reg`d June 2007, which was when the HR`s first came out. Sure, there are earlier models late registered so just cos its 2007 doesnt mean its automatically an HR but its another tick in the "is it a 313" box. Also, if you check the number plate, it comes up with it being registered as an HR 313 model. Anything else? I think we can safely say this is an HR 313 model, and as per the Sherlock Holmes work on this thread must be cheaper than normal purely because its got a bit of a dubious insurance history. Learnt something today then re Sat Nav thanks, it comes up as a 313 car when I do a reg number check. Mark
