  1. got some new new ds2500 off cs the other day so will give mine a go this weekened question is last time i did this on car i nearly lost the spring clips.... (see where im going) are these availabe easyily or is it a case of pray i dont loose/brake them ?
  2. seen the header , couldnt see the bolts so i assumed wrongly it was hidden under stuff but i guess its all reachabole just pain in botty fiddly, either way i wouldnt attempt it even if it just bolts ! cats look pretty diyable though
  3. all done from underneath is it ?? no wonder it take so long !
  4. might aswell do your plenum (spacer or kinetc etc) at the same time since it will all need to come off when to get at the manis.
  5. no z here either , just a bunch of italian junk wiht horses on the front. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=kew+gardens+london&sll=53.477792,-2.255495&sspn=0.005638,0.008175&ie=UTF8&t=h&layer=c&cbll=51.47983,-0.292375&panoid=aialyPX0AlmltI5IMKqhdw&cbp=12,174.41,,0,5&hq=Kew+Gardens&hnear=Kew+Gardens,+London,+UK&ll=51.479833,-0.292382&spn=0,359.94082&z=15&utm_campaign=en_GB&utm_medium=lp&utm_source=en_GB-lp-emea-gb-gns-svn&utm_term=%7Bkeyword%7D
  6. front splitter or spolier depdning on which end your looking at
  7. only difference is the velocity stack (the funnel) smoothes out the airflow and stops it from getting all mixed up. afaik the perfect intake is justa tube that runs from the Tb straight out to clean air wihth maybe a some funneling , since that would be kinda open to debris water etc etc 06+ box plus the bumper duct is about as close as youl get. however aftermaket intakes sound better and look cool so people use them instead , me im just cheap/skint and have some time and so fancy having a go at ducting the stock setup with cutting (to chicken to risk the resale wiht a chopped bumper)
  8. kind of a home made one of these ....http://www.evo-r.net/product/CAI/tube/index.htm but mark siad version 2 is probably better if you dont mind cutting your bumper, straight direct feed !
  9. why bother stock airbox is sealed to the front panel , picks up nice clean cold air. Fit a 06 airbox carbon panel in bumper works the best. Dont pick up up from a low place real easy to suck water in then. Mark agreed the carbon duct is the bst im not gonna cut my bumper ! the feed will run to wher those black planels in the grill are so unless im going through over a foot of water its not going to get submerged so the only potential water ingress is rain but since the pipe will havr vertail sections gravity should be enough. either way nothing ventured nothing gained , anyone got an 06 box they dont need ?
  10. snap stil got bmw on the drive although you cant fully see it as they dint come down past my house ! lazy feckers didnt do my culda sack (yes i know its not spelled like that)
  11. im going to be making a sealed adaptor to fit the trumpets on that pipe (which is basically why its not alot cheaper) then run the pipe down to the front grille like the typhoon does. that way te air will be sucked or rather forced dricetly in from the the outside as it stands your relying on the air floating up to the airbox , im going to be giving it a direct path with a bigger inlet than the tube thats pointing the same way as the car moves. so in theroy ( probably wont do squat but should look nice) as the car moves the air will get sqeezed up the tube to the intake buts that just theory wont find out for sure till i can get it mapped. if it works great if not well £25 is hardly anything to worry about for an experiment.
  12. interesting setup , what else is the amp running ? imguessing somthing pretty beefy as my litle baby vpower kicks out 400wrms is about half that size !
  13. now all you need is one of these .. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT , going to make a small carbon/fiberglass fitting to seal it to the box
  14. i bet few peeps would want one if you can get them done cheap enough failing that have you considered getting wrapped , with real CF ?
  15. indeed lot of dosh for sucha small part considering the nismo reps can be had for the same money. id be interested in an enlarged version thats more prominant like the ings+1 but with out the parts that run up the boot.
  16. dont seibon already do an oem in carbon ?
  17. +1 one of the roomyest ive come across , if it wasnt for the amount of the dash you have to remove to get the old unit out it would be a very easy install.
  18. box calcs are pretty simple as long as you stick to either ported or sealed and dont trya dn go crazy wiht bandpass etc etc plenty of free stuff out there to do the work you just chuck in the subs specs. Ikarus. top work there getting them made so well , nice deisgn too
  19. so once your tuned youl be good to go then...look on the bright side youl know your car insde and out. if you get any issues youl know how to fix them your self with having to rely completly on tuners.
  20. so have you tried pluggin the already tuned utec in and hooking up the charger ? lot of time and money wasted by so called pros, good job shes sorted
  21. wonderd that my self as after i took out my bose i thought about getting a LHD glove box and doubling up but sa the dirvers eat is a pain to move i didnt bother .
  22. yep , you can put glove boxes in both if you want or heaven forbid 2 bose subs !
  23. im game for the main day , maybe some track time too . 1. Shire (sunday) 2. H5 3. Chesterfield 4. Chris`I (not sure which day or maybe both) 5. Nurrish (sunday) 6. Madmarky 7. Yokomo
