  1. hee so many choices ! found 40s and found 50's . the 40's arent on bridgestone site any more so im assujming theyre an old rnage replaced with 50's. from there though it gets confusing fast as there liek 4 types ! some seem quite cheap at £110 ish others are like £170.
  2. feeeww found some 40's ! same price as the 50's so im going to get some ordered only concern is getting them fitted . anyone know good palce in herts to get them doone ?
  3. yeah id sooner get some 40's and keep it allmatched but im completely skint and cant really afford2 new tyres let alone 4. the fronts are fine dont need changing but cant even see re40s listed, quick skim about and keep seeing the 50's listed as the 350z tyre. quite confused now edit found 40's on black circles but says they are run flats ? also list about 4 different re050's !
  4. Hi All got my MOT coming up and i think im gonna need some new rears , problem is i cant see anywhere with the re40 even listed. are they just the old version of the re50's and whats my chances of getting away with a pair of 40's and not borking the handling ? most sites seem to suggest the re50's so im inclided to just find a pair and go for but thought best ask frst !
  5. had that sinking feeling that would be the case. hows about re40 and re50 as i cant see the 40's listed anywhere only 50's and there way more than a set of the falkens .
  6. whats peoples opion on mixing a set of 45s's on the rear with the originals on the front ? think im gonna need a set of new rears pretty fast
  7. if it just while cold like the rest of us i find it eayest to just skip 2nd and go to third but after about 1/2mile its fine. so for me that out the drive up the hill and by the time im out of my estate its fine but first time i go for its a no go without silly force . if its all the time then you may have an issue.
  8. yeah the plastisc dont ahve the bmw etc feel but i tihnk the layout and generl build quality is pretty good. everything holds down . i do have a small dash rattle but it could easyily be fixed as above but like msot people it snothing a lead foot wont drown out. peronally id say unless your really tall (im 6'2 so over that) then its prety roomy and a good driving place and after all your meant to be looking at the road not the dash !
  9. looks liek youve saved some serious weight there , if you can get to 300bhp /300ftlbs it should really fly loving the carboon doors as well

    An odd request

the dished effect on the spokes is very unique , the sort of thing ive only seen on my NFS cars ! be nice to have say 1/2inch of lip though to stop any curbing getting the spokes (i know you shouldnt be curbing wheels but it happens)

tbh youd probably be better of with some reps/lookylikeys from Andy even if they did fit as theyre not exactly a cheap rim and used ones are rare as rocking horse poop.
  12. you may be able to make the volume a little louder in the settings .... my jvc has the abilty to up/down the volume of the pre outs hidden deep in its menu so it maybe worth looking to see if you can do that. if your still needing more power then its line or get a real amp in . does the steering remote not work at all , none of the buttons do anything? if its completly dead you may want to check the connections and carefully check the little weak wir that goes in to the back of the headunit from the control unit(short wire wiht a conector on it thats pioneer specific) as ive broken these in the past due to being very fragile single wires !
  13. is a bose equiped car ? if so that is probably the low voluem culprit and can be made lower with a line driver fi your new headunit doesnt have very high pre out voltages. I havent done the swap myself yet but 1 inch spacers seems to fit most speakers .
  14. least you can sell the utec and get back some cash
  15. nice to see youve updated your sig m13kyf , looking good
  16. just my view , not fan of big huuge american engines that produce in stock form very little power per litre 6.0l wiht 400 bhp equates to 67ishbhp/L vs the vq35de of 80 or 90+ from an HR. plus such abig block is gonna weigh the front down ! not somthing i would ever consider doing to car but it IS somthing thats done , not kocking it if you want massive NA power its the only way to go. again all just an opinion , if someone does it the guts to you it wil be on torquey beast.
  17. ooooooooorrrrr dont put american POS enigne in the Z , ls1 350bhp froma 5.7l , ls2 400bhp form a 6.0l ! please dont ruin the car by doing this ! (INMHO)
  18. you could do just the head unit and the speakers to get things running without having the issues of speaker not working etc OR just listen to the sountrack under bonnet
  19. this may or may not be of help but alot of cars can tell if theres a person in the passenger by the weight. so if its not being sat it the airbag wont go off or if its light aka got a aby seat in it. no idea if the Z has the sensors though
  20. sounds like a right mess sooooo if i were you i would bin all but the nav ! get a mid range double din unit with bluetooth and usb/ipod (i love my jcv and its cheap at £400) since you already have nav. the amp and sub youve been checking out plus a reasonable set of comps for the front and since you dont have boee the headunit would run them fine then when cash allows get them amped.
  21. the bose HU on it own wont work or do anything thats if it it would even plug in. the bose setup has 2 amps, one in the boot for the main speaker and one behind the driver so youd need both or at least the small one then youd have to wire it all up just to get any sound ! looking at your other thread im not sure what you have at the mo. i see the nissan nava dn whats probably the control boxes in the boot.
  22. no need for vs kit , looks like your nismo bits would work with it
  23. no worries i bought mine used and was told i need some sort of wiring hack done etc while i was looking at the wires i thought better bend them over so they dont get pulled back ...... then it dawned on me they now looked like the bulbs, plugged in and presto ! seems strange but actually a smart way of doing it since it will work on jdm and uk cars .
