  1. Yes your fuel costs will more than double I am afraid. I was using my 370z for my daily commute as it was my only car and was costing me approx £150 a week in fuel, just to get back and forward to work, need extra for weekend and if doing anything at night. Big chunk off wages. So had no option but to sell it and buy a Saab 93 1.9 turbo diesel and now costing me £70 a week in diesel and bought a roadster 350z purely for the weekends
  2. Best car I have ever owned was the Le Mans Blue 370, it's strange why when you photograph it that it does it absolutely no favours, but when you see it in the flesh it's looks completely different. Superb colour.
  3. I just glanced into rear view mirror and noticed you had turned up to Petersburn, was angry at myself for not paying attention to give a wave goodbye. Wasn't being ignorant
  4. Its strange as I thought the 370 was a million times better in terms of handling and the interior, but when getting back into the 350 for the first time I was surprised at how solid and planted it feels. Don't know if previous owner has done any suspension upgrades but it does feel better on the road from what I remember from my coupe. I do notice the performance difference from the 370 to the 350 though...
  5. You may be in for a shock, did someone not post that Nissan have dropped the price of base model 370Z to £21k brand new???? I know the roadster is dearer but I just sold my coupe 370Z, 61 plate all optional extras for a lot lower than your looking at. I had it on autotrader for 3 weeks for £19k and never had a single phone call.... But maybe the current weather will help you get the price you want
  6. No, everything inside the roof is perfect, that was one of the things SteveM said to check so I got the owner to send me photo's of the inside of the roof before I flew down.
  7. Don't think the roadster comes into the equation, it's the fact when you drive into a dealer they will show you the CAP value which is generally a good bit less than you see the same model of car selling for privately. But their car is at full retail price, they don't show you the CAP price of their car. When I was just looking for my new 350 the past few weeks, I had set a budget of £7k and there were 2 roadsters on Autotrader in this bracket, I bought one on an 05 plate with 72k miles, full service history, full years MOT, brand new tyres all round etc etc for £6,300. All of the Coupe's around same age and mileage were also selling between £6-£7k. Get your car sold and buy a Roadster, it's the dogs dangles in this weather, get a cracking suntan while the wind blows thru your hair
  8. I forgot to ask her if the roof had been treated I was just that eager to get going. SteveM sent me details of the Autoglym stuff to get so I'll buy that this weekend and if not doing anything Sunday might get that done, but by the looks of the weather reports doesn't look like the roof will be making an appearance anytime soon Had a lovely drive down to work, was running very late so didn't have time for the usual slow coaches, and it just sounds so so good when overtaking people on the country roads with that exhaust and roof down... I've already had a blast or two thru the Clyde tunnel with roof down and know exactly what your saying. Totally different from blasting thru with just the windows down in the past
  9. It maybe is just because I'm used to a long travel of the clutch pedal and gear movement. And maybe because I'm jumping from my 93 diesel barge to the 350 as well isn't helping as the clutch in the 93 must travel about 15 feet, allowing for exaggeration of course But since it's going to be a nice day tomorrow and it's a Friday I will give the car a treat and drive it into work, lovely drive down the A76
  10. One thing I have noticed which I don't remember when I last had the 350 and perhaps I am just forgetting it was like that since I have spent the last year and a half with the 370. Gear changes, clutch doesn't seem to have as far a movement as I remember and the gear changes on the gear stick seem very short. The last owner couldn't have done anything to shorter gear selection could they or do something to the clutch for shorter sharper changes?
  11. I take it you use one of these recorders, do you have it running all the time? What make and model is it?
  12. Yes I bought a Roadster last Thursday. Sounds amazing with the roof down and the HKS Exhaust, gives a very satisfying growl, even accelerated quite fast in second then braked hard for a speed bump and got a little pop off it as well, gave myself a little fright as wasn't expecting it
  13. Yes, it was the roadster on here with the Chargespeed kit and wrapped in Matt White that made me want it, think it was RTPerformance's demo car which was for sale last year??
  14. Cheers guys I'll drop Infinity an email asking for a quote, will either be a gloss white or matt white.
  15. Anyone suggest best place to get the 350 wrapped in and around Glasgow area? Tried to PM Jay but says he cannot receive messages so take it his mailbox is full? How much would I expect to pay, it's a roadster so surely thats slightly cheaper than a coupe as no roof or pillars to wrap? Either going to go sparkling white or a matt white, not quite decided yet...
  16. Even worse than a non-fault claim was what happened to me, I came out the club one night to find a tosspot had booted the door of my XKR, guy got caught and I was due to testify at court. Turned up at court and clerk came thru to say he pled guilty so I wasn't required. I had contacted the insurance company previously to say door was damaged as I presumed I would need their help to recover cost of repair. I never received a penny and insurance company were not willing to persue it. So I called and closed the claim and just paid for the repair myself which only cost me about £250. Came to renewal and with same insurance company they said any claims, I said no and they brought up about claim being registered, I said I closed the claim as I repaired it myself and didn't go thru with the claim, but they were adamant that it remains as a non-fault claim....WTF!!
  17. Very first kit, Chargespeed with the canards, skirts and rear bumper is my favourite kit and what I eventually want to put on my Roadster. Question I've always wondered is that I have the reversing sensors, what would I do with them if replacing rear bumper with one of these kits??
  18. You still need to declare it as a claim when your renewing your insurance as it goes down a no fault claim.... My windscreen claim shows up as non-fault claim....
  19. I'm out that way every Thursday night as play pool in Airdrie.
  20. Nice video, my favourite car one has always been this NSX one, love the tune as well:- http://youtu.be/MyWSdIeVuw0#aid=P-Dfg7Xn6dM
  21. I have always ran my AC in every car I've owned whether hot or cold. Sure I have read that if you don't run your AC for long period ie months you run the risk of joints drying etc as there is lubricant in the gas. So it will be detrimental to the operation of your system if you don't put it on for long periods of time.
  22. Don't know about that, see the sunburn I've got from the drive up yesterday. Now I understand why you see so many people wearing hats when driving convertibles
  23. When I had my first 350 I was first to test it, although think it was v2 at that point and found it superb. I only used sp5 though as sp7 was too much. Yes it's hard to pull away in an orderly fashion, but the reason I would engage sp5 was to GET a quick standing start. I done several timing tests and couldn't establish any difference in time getting to 60 etc but when you feel the difference you couldn't possibly envisage that your not getting to 60 faster than normal... I found eco4 or 5 great for when there had been torrential rain as it made sure it's impossible to go too fast, was also good for when snow was on the ground. I would thoroughly recommend it, in fact I'll need to get myself one now I'm back in a 350 again
  24. It's the chargespeed kit I love the best, with the sills having the same little slots like the bumper has and the canards on the front bumper. Best kit bar none. Your car is looking awesome.
  25. Go into General forum and you will find thread of mines asking Coupe or Roadster, on 3rd or 4th page Stevem posts the usual part of a roadsters roof to look out for.
