  1. Welcome to the OC Looking mean in black
  2. Maybe not. But. I've heard that if you drink it you'll be on the toilet with your rear trumpeting away with the glorious sound of a VQ engine though
  3. This is one of the most flattering pics I've seen of that blue.......hats off to you and your Zed
  4. @Whitevanman and @Humpy You guys have found some top backdrops to show off your Zs. Makes all the difference. You lot will have to make do with my garden hedge..... AGAIN Washed and rinsed down with Turtlewax Dry and Shine
  5. To be honest the lips haven't done badly considering they've seen daily use for 14 years! When I got them everyone said I should change them for winter wheels every year as the lips wouldn't last. No regrets from me for 14 years daily enjoyment out of them.
  6. The centers are still A1 so before I go the refurb route I've ordered some paint stripper. Going to spray a little on a brush and test it on a small section of the lip. The clearcaot looks incredibly thin so hopefully not too difficult for the stripper to aid removal. When whiteworm hit the diamond cut faces of my Kia's alloys, the lacquer came off in sheets bas thick as a screen protector! Will post up pics of my progress. Nothing to lose if I can't maintain the finish with regular cleaning and polishing by hand.
  7. Gorgeous photos of what looked like a glorious day out
  8. My rims have diamond cut lips and centres. On one of the rims, as the years have passed, the rim has lost it's mirror finish and started looking cloudy. I imported these new in 2007 and have used them daily. No removal to fit winter wheels just enjoy them all year round. Since day 1 they have been cleaned weekly with just shampoo and no harsh chemicals. For the first few years they were treated to Chemical Guys Wheel Gaurd monthly. Then around 2012 I started doing a yearly decon and Gtechniq C5 coating. Today I gave the cloudy area a scrape with my fingernail and very fine dusty flecks come away revealing a perfectly untarnished machined finish below. The cloudy layer is still steadfast in certain areas so scraping with my nail to do the whole lip in one sitting is highly unlikely. Do you think this could be layer upon layer of old C5 or just the 14yr old lacquer giving up the ghost. Strange thing is the other 3 rims look fine.
  9. Thanks ever so much. Been doing alot of reminiscing recently. Was a great day with glorious sunshine and the first time I watched a drifting event. That green looked so gorgeous in the sun that day (as did all the zeds), definitely stood out and was an attention grabber. Recognise a few other member cars. Mike's lovely Azure with those deep lipped rims. Clarkie34. Shire350z wearing lovely LMGT4s but to name a few
  10. https://www.350z-uk.com/search/?&q=Jdm allstars 2010 Manchester&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy I can open the first thread with 2 posts bit not the ones with over 100 posts which o was hoping had some pics. Cheers
  11. Anyone still around for the old days got any pics of our 350z stand from this event? Tried search but it's saying I don't have permission to view the threads of this event.
  12. I watched this on my projector last night. It's the closest I've been to spending a day Traveling to Enjoying ....and leaving An amazing car event. Very well filmed I thought and the audio mix through the surround sound was very immersive also After a year of lockdown it definitely cheered me up a bit
  13. 00.08MPG Never fails to bring a to my face
  14. Had to spend over £15 for free p&p so just ordered 2 X Dry and Shine and 1 bottle of Sealant Hydrophobic Wax
  15. Wow.......... that's probably the lowest price I've seen the Sealant Hydrophobic Wax sell for INCLUDING DELIVERY too This shows how slick the paint is with the Sealant Hydrophobic Wax......
  16. I went a bit crazy around 20yrs ago. I had a 1.3 Nissan Sunny with 3/4 of the boot taken up with a bixed 15" sub. Just 2 amps. One running some components up front, no rear speakers. One bridged running the sub. Played it WAY too loud and got tinnitus!!!! I was so devastated I put the sub up for FREE COLLECTION. Thankfully, 6 months of no sub and the tinnitus went Didn't learn......put a 12" sub in my next car. Guess what, couldn't resist and started going too loud again. That's why Ive stuck with the OEM 350Z puny Bose
  17. That is some awesome work there. With the abuse my puny Bose 10incher has taken over 16 years I'm surprised it's not died yet. If it does I'd gladly pay for something like that from a pro. Looks so neat and no compromise on boot space.
  18. The cars look and sound soooo good under the midnight city neon glow. Especially the FDs
  19. Welcome to the OC Hope you sort the niggles out easily
  20. Look how much some of these are going for £18k for an 05!!!!
  21. I like the classic Stang for weekends. Probably won't lose money on it. Then you need a practical daily. Something not as sparce as a Caterham (we all deserve AC nowadays) Something cheap on consumables, good load space which can do trips to the dump or fit a bike in the back (foldable rear seats and a hatch back). Something really fun to drive and still a bit special that will turn heads. Something that is only going up in price. So to partner your classic Stang I nominate THE DC5 INTEGRA TYPE R
  22. How can you not remember THIS One of the most memorable racer intros EVER. I was truly hooked on the first Gran Tourismo. I hadn't seen anything like it. Yes it looks a bit Minecraft by today's standards but at the time it was class leading and so immersive that the pixels would disappear and it was like THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR
