Nice find and nice project to look forwards too. Composite bonnets are not that evil it just depends on the quality. I have a seibon CF bulge bonner that's perfect. I will be selling it for the same thing with vents.

Age, cost and the main unit and controller is smaller and better ergonomics. I would suspect that the software would have been upgraded. TBH I have had both and they do the same thing but the v2 controller's button set up makes flick ing through selections dead easy. I also found that I had to reset the v1 it quite a few times as it unpaired itself for some reason but never with the V2. Either way it the best value mod for the zed.

What is required to covert it to 1.5way? I hope Keyser or mark @ abbey can chip in as I know they have done this.

I had the same issue when i had a K1 but managed to hook it out . Just take out the center section and lay it gently on a table after tipping the pipe on the proximal end to get the loose ring(s) to lodge close to that end. introduce a suitablly slender rod with a hook at the end and yank the ring out. It took me a few goes and it came out. Its thin metal so it deforms to an egg shape to exit the pipe. examine the ring to determine the size of the hook.

No it wouldn't you've made up your mind already. Let me put it this way: It is doable and done right will be trouble free. However if it cost 2.5k to do it you would have to be driving silly miles to recoup the cost and then start to save so it pointless. If you think the tuning costs are too much then it's curtains band aids don't work. But if you really want to reduce fuel costs then consider a cheap option like the D1 throttle controller and maybe an Uprev reflash to have a map to run 95ron fuel safely. This will only cost around 500-600 quid. But it's not like you are going to go from 25-50mpg which returns to my initial point.

Sorry to hear this but hope he makes a full recovery with minimal brain injury sequelae. Never give up!! Our prayers are with him. I think you should keep the car and complete it for he sake. If you give up then his spirit will give up too. Keep us informed and feel free to request for help or expertise or parts as there are many here with extra lying around. Hi Ray, No experience with this but reviews look favourable and since you had a good experience with the RSR then I would say go for it and give us feedback I want to run semi slicks this year but don't want to lay through the nose! This is the one negative running large 19" tyres/ wheel combo.

Saw the roadster in RTP while it was getting worked on. Taras and his team know their stuff without a doubt.

I got the same setup as Peter allied to a short shifter and its perfect. I think the gates look good but in practice it could be a nightmare and may just be a hindrance for quick shifting.

Slippery slope! It all depends on loads of factors, eg new vs used kit and support mods, installation cost, shipping and duty costs, tuning options and tuning cost. Service and refresh of various components during and after FI, insurance etc So estimate between 5k -10k minimum. Yeah buying a custom FI'ed car will be cheaper but I would never feel easy unless I have proof it was well done or if not i'll take it down and reassemble to check every not and bolt and adjust things to my liking so it made add on the original costs and mean there is no real difference. FI is expensive and risky but the rewards are

From he post and angle sounds like he is liking for a DD tyre. I maybe wrong. What kind of mileage did you get out of the R888s Dan? I know if I got them I'll just end up pushing even more and they will not last but nice to know from one nutter to another
