  2. Looks good mate, next phase for me is to get my rear view camera working, had it hooked up today but could get anything to display on the HU....ah next problem to figure out R
  3. what set-up did you go for? i've been thinking about new amps and speakers but to be honest with the struggle I had getting the bloody headunit back in I NEVER want to take the thing out again It almost went through the windscreen. R
  4. WOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPP, headunit back in, line booster in, gain at max! Volume LOUDDDDDD!!! steering wheel controls working! Unfortunatly its still bloody clicking when I push the brake pedal, I have stripped down the grounding cleaned it all up heatshrunk it , made it all nice a pretty and its still doing it..!?!?!?!?! I give up. R
  5. I got the 29-007 for my F900BT. The cable I got was wired as follows: --1----3---5----7----9----11 GREY-RED-I----I------------ ----------PINK-BLUE--------- ------------I-----I----------- --2----4---6----8----10---12 BLACK Notice that the wire bridging Pins 7&8 is actually surplus to demand so I removed it. The wheel control works perfectly now. If you look at the cable from behind they should be wired like the following. --1----3-----5----7----9----11 GREY-RED--I----------------- ----------PINK--------------- --------------I----------------- --2----4-----6----8----10---12 BLACK I can't understand why they would have the extra blue wire, even with the 008 models the wires are supposed to bridge 7&8 and 9&10...... Hope this helps somebody. R
  6. Have you plugged the RCA cables in on the ipod cable, the USB isn't enough to get sound the other cables need to be plugged in too? Currently having nightmares of my own, the stereo is out of the car and the soldering iron is out R

    Tread Depth

Just got a tread gauge and checked my bridgestones, they are reading between 3-4mm, I know the legal minimum is 1.6mm...do you recon it's time for new shoes? I only do around 200-300miles a month. Hope not as its not a good time to be shelling out for tyres. R
  8. Jeez, How long was the missus in the shop for you to start reading the seatbelt labels? R
  9. I think if you are using it on the track then definatly a Lotus, if you want to turn heads get a Noble and if you want HUGE repair bills get a TVR. Don't get me wrong I love TVR's but my mates brother has a Chimera and he only does about 200 miles a year as its always being repaired...plus the nearest garage that will touch it is down south. On the other hand I have always loved the Exige, so poised, serious accelleration and awsome looks. IMO of course. R
  10. NEEDS MORE SNOWFOAM!!! Nice boat though R
  11. I know...first thing on the cards for him is spacers and lowering R
  12. Aye my folks are from the Heed so I was through there. It actually doesn't look like a pile of Sh*t in those photo's.....incredible. R
  13. Its quite a bit bigger than previous versions I think. I like it it looks quite aggressive from the front and they have got rid of that hideous rear end. R
  14. Should be able to do that no probs would look fine I think. S1 HNK just has his whole car wrapped in white and it looks awsome. I emailed the company about doing a half wrap in CF and was quoted £500 ex VAT, so a bonnet should only be around £200. R
  15. My brother finally got his new Megane Coupe so we decided it was a brilliant day to get the cars together and give them a good clean and protect. We started with a Snowfoam, using a foam lance and Bilthamber Autofoam, we were very impressed with the froth.... So was his dad so he decided to use it on the work van too The cars were then powerwashed and washed using 2BM, Meguiars Gold Class and Sheepskin Mitts. The engine bays and doorshuts were done using a variety of Envy Brushes. All alloys were cleaned using Bilberry 1:5 and various wheel brushes. The cars were then rinsed with sheeted water and clayed using Bilthamber Autoclay and Meguiars quick Detailer as a lube. Snowfoamed and rinsed again, then dried with Poorboy Waffle Weaves. The paint was then hand sealed and waxed using Poorboy EX-P and Collinite 476. Paintwork was then rubbed down with Jeffs Acrylic and Microfibres. Finally: Wheels sealed with Poorboys Wheel Sealer Tyres dressed with Meguiars Hot Rims Plastics treated with Aerospace 303 and Poorboys Trim Restorer Interior done with Meguiars Interior Detailer, Meguiars Leather Care and AG Window Cleaner. Here are a few after shots, as said it was a fantastic day. R
  16. thats awsome mate! +1 R
  17. Agreed, mr CS is an excellent trader.....does he have a name? Its quite odd to keep refering him as CS I wish I could make it to Wales, looks like it's turning out to be quite an event....unfortunatly I will be in the middle of the sea keeping you guys in petrol! Have fun R
  18. Ah sorry no. Thought you meant the main ones. R
  19. I have a standard header tank, will have a brake one soon also once I manage to fit this bloody aluminium one. R
  20. Looks nice! is there still backing plastic on it or something, looks like a dodgy finish? R
  21. Lol, im the same the situation gets so bad your left with no option. My neighbour currently has 3 cars! one of which is a clapped out rover with a blown head so its been sat there for the past 3 months taking up a space. Im biding my time for the tax to run out so I can grass him up I'd like to see him get an MOT on THAT! Currently looking at moving house anyway, hopefully sooner than later, the city is begining to P me off big time. R
  22. CSO's have pretty much no official authority, but they can get the proper police there pretty quick, so whatever your up too do it quickly R
  23. Bah, he should stop playing on that "wheelie board" and get him self a job.....dirty students! lol, I jest.....Rodney Mullen FTW on THPS!!! R
  24. I know it wouldn't bother me if there were double yellow lines there for a reason but they only painted them last year and from what I can see only exist to generate revenue which they have....lots of! R
  25. Yesterday my GF got a parking ticket when she parked on double yellows outside our flat. We have a private car park but it fills up quickly and if you don't get a space your pretty much screwed and parking on them overnight is the only option. Anyway the parking ticket was given at 7AM!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently the traffic wardens are now working 24hours a day!!! What a bloody disgrace! R
